Sushi Seki New York Reviews from The Last Year
We love that Sushi Seki is an authentic Japanese restaurant
We love that Sushi Seki is an authentic Japanese restaurant that serves great quality for the food with great service. What's rare is that they maintain quality consistently year after year, and I have come here for at least 15 years! Their kitchen dishes are nice too, not just sushi
Flavorful! Wonderful spot to grab a bite before a show.
Fresh fish and meticulously prepared.
Very disappointing meal.
Ordered take-out: various rolls and sushi. The fish in the toro roll was lukewarm warm which made it seem un-fresh. The taste was just okay. The roll with fried oyster was just bad. It was topped with a gluey Mayo top topping that had no flavor. After wiping that off the roll itself the oyster was overdone shoe leather.
Friday night my fiancée and I sat across from the sushi
Friday night my fiancée and I sat across from the sushi bar encompassing over $300 for a minimal amount of despairingly underwhelming deli quality food with two highly overpriced, short poured glasses of saki. Mid-meal four chefs determined to leave early, quickly commenced wrapping all raw food while sanitizing the glass cases with a caustic eye burning, vapor toxic cleaning agent permeating the entire restaurant. Nauseating by any possible rudimentary standards. Our rapid departure begrudgingly paying the exhorbetent tab was sequenced by their staff demanding a gratuity. Really ?? No apologies, no compensation. STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS EMBARRASSING UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT.
Overall thought this place was solid, good not great
Overall thought this place was solid, good not great slightly overpriced sushi. Got seated in the back of the dining room. Ambience was ok. Place was crowded, people seem to like this place, but I just thought it was good.

Amazing sushi and delivery was so fast! Super fresh (even the wasabi) and tons of creative rolls. Definitely a go to when I'm in the 'hood!
I had a wonderful time at sushi seki! It's located on
I had a wonderful time at sushi seki! It's located on Restaurant Row and it is very spacious inside. The waiters are very attentive. We ordered a seaweed salad (not traditional green seaweed, but black seaweed) and dynamite shrimp to start off (delicious). I ordered a toro nigiri, shrimp tempura roll, and a blue crab roll. The crab didn't taste like much but the toro and shrimp tempura were delicious. The fish tasted very fresh.
This is the first time we've been to the restaurant.
We got seated right away, and the food and service were great. We split a few appetizers (Yakatori was tender and tasty), and then shared an assortment of sushi. Our particular favorites were the scallop sushi with a hint of sea salt and lemon, the salmon sushi with baked tomato, and the fatty tuna. While we liked everything we tried, the snow crab sushi tasted a little bland and was not nearly as nice as the rest of our order. We'll definitely be coming back in the future!
My wife, a sushi eater, and me, a non-sushi eater, were
My wife, a sushi eater, and me, a non-sushi eater, were looking for a sushi restaurant for a late dinner near our Air BnB. I came across Sushi Seki and decided this was the spot. Taking her word for it, the sushi was fantastic. I ordered a chicken teriyaki dish which I must say was some of the best I've had. The portions were smaller than we have been used to and the prices were steep, but the flavor made up for it. A good spot if you are in the area and being open later than some of the other offerings is a big plus.

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
