This is THE place...
Having lived in Japan for many years and being fluent in Japanese, I know auuthentic sushi when I try it. I mean, if you are going to spend premium prices for the best sushi, you should demand that the owner, chef and waiter are Japanese.
Yes, it makes a big difference. When you see everything written in Japanese as well as in English, then you know you're in the right place. If they are catering to the Japanese, then that's the one you want.
Everything was perfect and authentic in every way. The cuts were done right, and all of it was premium. The wife's teriyaki chicken was letter perfect (yes, she's Japanese, too), and she also gave rave reviews.
It was terrific! We shall return.
Great Value - Selection - Quality
Was looking for a good sushi/sashimi option OFF the Strip and decided to try Sushi Takashi. Was a fantastic meal. A Yellowtail Jalapeno dish that is second only to Nobu, but at a third of the price!

We picked this randomly based on some reviews. Parking was a bit tough, but we found a spot in the service alley behind. Regardless, it was well-worth it. The sushi rolls were really, really good. I think we got a cream cheese based one, one called Raiders 2020, Red Dragon, Big Tree, and one with lemon slices. It was all really good. The chef kept sending us free plates so we got to sample a few other things that we wouldn't hae ordered: baked salmon fillets were crisp and salty and really good, and some kind of salad of mostly thick chunks of different fish: salmon, yellowtail, etc. Also really good. Ended with some kind of cookie with frozen vanilla ice cream inside. The decor was new and very stylish...semi-private screens between tables, and private tables in the back that are basically inside of massive barrels. Highly recommended, this is my new sushi spot in Vegas.

We found this place recommended elsewhere online and decided to give it a try since our home town (Colorado Springs) is sorely lacking decent sushi. Our meal was amazing and my husband especially loved the uni. I tried several different salmon dishes; all were very good and the chef even sent out some 'braised' salmon and soup for us to try! What a great experience! I would go back to LV just for this place!

A friend dined here recently and said my daughter might like it. They shared how they used a restaurant.com certificate so I went online and purchased one, too. And by week’s end was sitting at their sushi bar looking forward to sampling their menu.
Upon showing the waitress my certificate, I was told they no longer accept their certificates.
I later verified that they were supposed to because their deal/agreement had not expired yet.
Perhaps they changed their mind the day before but they were to accept it but refused.
No since in arguing or anything...we just got up and left.
I’ve already alerted the place that handles their certificates in hopes no one else purchases one thinking they too could dine here on a promotion.
Hidden gem - Crazy good Toro - Easily worth the uber ride from the Strip
Headed over later (around 10 pm) after the hockey game on Saturday. Short uber ride, easy to get in. Varied menu, great selection of cold sake, something for everyone. We went for sashimi boat, and 4 orders of toro (it was just SOOO good), we ordered one, then another, then another... Modest store front in a strip mall - not to worry.
Fresh fish, experienced chefs and servers, just an excellent food experience !
Hidden Gem
Our Lyft driver actually suggested this place so we changed our destination and it was the best thing we ever did! The place is not too big, so if you have a large party just call ahead - we were a party of 6 and EVERYONE was blown away with their food. It was one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to … and I'm from LA and have tried them all. Food was quick and delicious! This is our go-to sushi whenever we visit LV!

Good food in a busy bar. Singing and dancing wait staff. Large and loud t.v. Staff was friendly but seemed exhausted. Cute little kimono-folded napkins.
