5 stars shining outside, minus 1 star for personnel working there.
Hotel 5 star, personel working there minus 1 star!! I don't know where they find these workers, but I was shocked to have the worst customer service in this expensive hotel. Each person I asked, behaved like I was disturbing their free time. Texting in the corner of the lobby, not calling me back with information and just plain nasty. Note to the management, send your people to customer service training or some of those stars are going to fall off your website.

Quite possibly the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment you walk in you feel like you're part of a family. Every part of the service is excellent. The hotel itself is large, which means everyone has space. Somehow they've managed the space very well, it feels, warming and welcoming. Each member of staff treats you with the same warmth too. I would highly recommend whilst staying in St. Moritz.

Old fashioned hotel that does not deliver expectations as it seems to lack competition because of location in St.Moritz and absence of new good properties. Very big (150+ rooms) so it's crouded in corridors with staff, trolleys with towels and open doors to technical rooms. Spa seems to be 3* hotel - only one small hot jacuzzi for 5 people, cold swimming pool with no sunbeds and 5 chairs, small sauna '1970 year style' - nice option for a $2500/day. Choose nice new hotels or properties with proper understanding of luxury and mountain spa standards - like K2 in Courchevel, Almhof Shneider in Lech, Mont Cervin in Zermatt.

Personalized bedroom with thoughtful details and snacks was a definite plus. The staff from the Rental Ski and Ski Store were very helpful and professional. The restaurant crew were incredibly nice and polite, and the food was absolutely amazing. The guy from the hotel lift had us in stitches with his hilarious jokes - so much fun! The only downside was the long wait to be picked up at the train station. They sent an old trolley and then charged us for the ride - it would have been better to take a taxi (which I paid for to avoid the wait). The Concierge seemed a bit stressed and didn't give the best information. Perhaps it was a busy weekend, but one expects more from such a Luxury hotel. The bedroom was also quite small.

Hotel is beautiful and rich with details, rooms are cozy but bed was not that comfortable, I would say that mattresses were not updated, breakfast is fine, nothing really special. Pool area is really nice and with beautiful sunset to observe. We did choose to stay for one dinner at the hotel, we picked Grand restaurant, food quality seemed good but side dishes were not as great. We asked about options for our Tbone and they could not give us explanation about options. Meat came raw and not medium as requested. Some waiters were quite pushy with quantity of food, which felt quite annoying and not as comfortable. They did not seem to help you to fit your needs but trying to sell more! Service dose not seem to be consistent, hope one day it improves! We did enjoy the stay and beautiful surroundings but would wish things go more smoothly!
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing stay. There are much better options in St. Moritz
To begin with, when we arrived, there were two people, the concierge and a valet. We literally spent 5min from the moment we arrived outside without anyone noticing us even if they were standing just in front of us outside, we had trouble getting their attention so they could take care of us. Vallet service: incompetent, unpleasant and understaffed. During our stay, on several occasions, we needed to directly take the car keys from the box because no one was there to give them to us. Some of them don't even speak English. No attention on their part when it comes to managing arrivals and departures, no organisation (leaves the carts, skis, suitcases in the driveway). Not attentive on the cleanliness, several times we found the car with snow and dirt inside. They even allowed themselves to put the foot full of mud on the seat of our friend's Porsche because they judged the car too low to get in properly. For a 5 star hotel, it is unacceptable that nobody was able to get the skis from the ski room to put them in our car or put them back in the ski room when we are back from skiing. We were really surprised to see that the room we had was so old looking and certainly not up to the price it was sold at and therefore not worthy of a 5 star hotel room. We were also surprised that the beds consisted of two single beds glued together and two separate comforters. Not to mention the cushions which were simply not comfortable, you will tell us, it fully depends on everyone's taste and comfort, but it is the first time that we had to keep both cushions in order to have a minimum of comfort and still waked up with a neck pain every single morning. I think it is normal to expect to receive, as it happens in all 5 star hotels, bottles of still water every night on the two bedside tables. Once again, we had to call every night to get some. It's not even that they were forgotten but we didn't have any during the whole stay. The first day we were able to find the card on which we had to fill in if we wanted to have breakfast the next morning. The rest of our stay, it was no longer present and forgot to be added to our door. We had to call the reception every night and fill in everything we wanted to order. However, we appreciated the modernity of the television which was up to date and equipped with a chrome cast that allowed us to cast from our phone. The lobby service was very inconsistent and this opinion was shared by all of our relatives. Things can go well or not at all. Waiting time can be fast or extremely long. The day before our departure we skied until 5:30 pm. By the time we changed and got my car it was 7pm. When I returned, I wanted to visit the spa. The staff was present and saw me arrive at this time at the spa without warning me that it closed its doors at 19:30. I went to the sauna and 3 minutes later, the electricity was cut off. Without any warning or verification from the spa staff, do you think it's normal in a high standing hotel like you claim to be, to treat customers like this and not provide essential information? Furthermore, I would like to give you a personal opinion which is shared by others, the closing of a spa at 7:30 pm is unheard. In your hotel I would expect at least 9pm. To pick up on the argument mentioned about the staff, we repeat, in general, we found the staff very unhelpful and unpleasant. This was not true, of course, for all the staff, there were some people who behaved in a decent way and sometimes, at the level of a 5 star hotel, but unfortunately too few of them… The rest of them made us feel like we were bothering them with any question. To conclude, you are competing in prices and positioning with the Carlton, the Kulm and the Badrutt’s Palace. Having experienced all these hotels on several occasions and for a long time now, you are, in our humble opinion, very far from their level. I would recommend to anyone to chose one of the hotels above and avoid the Suvretta House.

It’s one of the most elegant, stylish and classic Royal hotel in St.Moritz Switzerland . The people, the services, the staff and the warm hospitality you receive, the food quality….etc it’s awesome, it’s really amazing . It’s a memories you won’t forget, and you want to visit again and again.
Be the first to ReplyI expected a lot and Suvretta house delivered
I had high expectations and Silvretta house met them (as expected). Flawless but unimposing service. Location is ski-in ski-out. Ski room is the best i have ever seen. Lovely view. Building is in great shape. Very nice breakfast. Fast internet. On the improvements side, Parking is a bit crammed (and you wade through a sea of cars when arriving) and the elevator took a bit long at times.

A place with enormous charm and style where everything is perfect. Dining experience was exquisite even though the famous dining room was close at the time of our visit - we did not mind dining in the Stübli since the food was simply divine. Space, timelessness, genuine hospitality and extremely thought-over details in the rooms and spa - looking forward very much to returning to fairy-tale-like Suvretta House this summer!

I love that there is a dress code for the evening. Grand Style. Great Service, very classical by mostly Italien waiters. The best you should ask for are the dishes prepared at the table. I think best Crêpe Suzette you get in Switzerland. Prepared in front of you.

Be the first to ReplyExquisite Stay in a true swiss palace
Suvretta House is for me one the truly best palaces in Europe. Exquisitely traditional but uplifted with latest technology in the spacious rooms with superb bathrooms and several large windows in the rooms. Impeccable lobby & restaurants and cherry on the cake a lush smoking bar. Yes you read me correctly… This is worth by itself an A+ for discerning travelers. The palace is swiss, the brigade is Italian: that is and always has been the world best service you can expect. At Suvretta House, it is fully delivered.
Come, ski and enjoy a glass of Whispering Angel rosé on their superbly scenic after ski terrace!

Loved this property
We stayed here during our trip to St Moritz. Just loved this property.. the rooms are very comfortable, the service and staff are top notch! We ordered room service on the first night.. the food was great. The breakfast variety was the best with options for vegan and GF.
The spa facilities were amazing and must visit if you stay here.
Dream of a place
Suvretta House understands hospitality on the highest level globally. As Swiss with a house in Engadin, I’m so amazed by their hospitality, that I’ll return many many times, will host my next company event there, as I’m convinced it will be a success.
The hotel in Switzerland to go to!
