Good beer, great food in an old church
We had a nice casual meal ahead of attending the opera at the nearby Cincinnati Music Hall. The food was great - the burgers, salads and most of all the Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese. Atmosphere was great - the location is a deconsecrated church, TVs for viewing events and even the upper choir area is open for seating. Good views into the brewing operation, and easy to find. Local parking can be a challenge. You will need to probably park at a garage nearby and walk a short distance. Service was great - our server Johnna knew the menu and helped us make some good picks as to what to drink.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for FC pre game!
Great pre game FC visit...Beautiful re-use of church....Everything was quality, just wish service could have been a touch quicker as felt "regulars" were addressed before "non-regulars"....Will be back!!!
Be the first to ReplyPoor experience!!
We entered a really neat environment but was quickly disappointed with poor and slow service. The food took an extra while to be delivered and most food arrived cold. When we asked the server for assistance with the cold items we were met with “you guys didn’t like anything” and “it is late and we are busy”. We finally got a replacement on the tater tots and they were ok, finally the fries were replaced but one of the tots could be by because they were out of beer cheese. The manager approached us with an attitude to start and said she would remake our food but we had eaten what we could and were ready to leave. She did comp the meal which we did not ask for but we took it to be done. Another waitress heckled us as we lingered a few minutes. Poor experience! Beware!!

The ambiance was great and the wait staff friendly. The food was average (the baked beans are not baked but pinto beans) and beer was good. I’d go again

We went as a group of 10 and got a table. We were smothered and asked for a second table and were told No!! I'm not a complainer, so we went on about the meal. Got the wrong appetizers, kids didn't get drinks and my husband's meal was cold and my sons meal finally came out after everyone ate because they forgot to cook it. We were referred by our tour guide and wish we wouldn't have been and gone somewhere else. Positive, The flight was good and reasonably priced.
Be the first to ReplyGood, except for the food
Home from military service in South Korea, had literally one afternoon alone to go have lunch and a beer with my dad. Excited to go here. Awesome ambience and atmosphere, great vibe. Seemingly great service as we were walked through their beer menu based on our individual preferences by a super charismatic server, fellow Navy vet. TERRIFIC beers - 100%. Food comes. Absolute hockey pucks as hamburgers. Really really disappointing. Then the server who heretofore "walked on water" was somewhat dismissive after I showed him the charred mess I had on my plate. Unfortunately I won't be going back here.

We sat upstairs with a view down below. Very cool atmosphere. Great beers. We weren’t super hungry so split the tri tip wrap with tots. Excellent choice, in hindsight I’d give up a meal we had elsewhere to revisit this place.
Be the first to ReplyNot good
If you go here, just go for drinks at the bar. Food was terrible. Burnt chicken and bland everything. We also had a super annoying, intrusive and foul mouthed waiter. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Beer was so-so. Lacking a decent atmosphere. Absolutely one of the worst meals we have had in a long time. Don't waste your time or money.
Be the first to ReplyGood Food & Beer. A La Carte Kid’s Meals??
Good bar food and the tri-tip steaks and roast beef are well served. Beer was good and tried two varieties (that’s more than I would typically do at lunch). Very disappointed to see kids meals a la carte with $6 fries; doubling the cost of their otherwise decent meals.

This place has such a cool vibe. We just sat at the bar even though there were tables open. Our bartender was great and answered any questions we had. We tried a flight and my husband had an extra pint of his own. My favorite beer I tried was the milkshake IPA (UDF Strawberry). We actually split the tri tip sandwich (which came super quick) and added an extra side as our meal. Let me highly recommend the mac and cheese as a side, I actually would order this as a full meal if they had it as such. This was plenty of food as the servings are generous here. I highly recommend this place and wish we lived closer as I could see this becoming a regular stop.

Was standing at bar waiting to order two beers with what looked like Five employees behind the bar. We for some reason we’re not important enough to serve so we left. Also it was a slow day which made the lack of service a joke.
Be the first to ReplyUnique Setting with Great Beer Selection
Unique venue inside an old church with a cool atmosphere. Great beer selection and the food we ordered was quite good.

Unique restaurant with great food. The service was excellent and the quality of the food was delicious.
Be the first to ReplySkip this if you’re waiting for food before a busy event nearby!
Don’t go here before a concert! Too many people and not enough tables or kitchen staff. We were told it would be an hours wait. No problem, we had time to kill. It took a while to get a beer (Cold Boy was a nice beer). It’s very noisy in here and not much room to wait. We waited over an hour so I checked in with the hostess and she advised us the manager was no longer seating anyone because the kitchen was backed up for another house. I appreciated their honesty but it was disappointing. Menu was basic - mostly a variety of Philly steak subs, fried chicken sandwiches, fish and chips. Most of the food that did come out looked dark and greasy. Maybe it was due to the concert goers flooding the area but was disappointing. Won’t be back.
Be the first to ReplyBeer Decent, Food Wanting
Food was really just ‘ok’… The Big Billy could use more meat if it’s going to be called big, And they served us room temperature (sitting around) tater tots so we waited for freshly cooked tots. Beer was fine but this once exciting OTR destination is riding old fumes.
Be the first to ReplyI'd go back
We were warmly greeted by the hostess and told it would be a short wait. We gave our name and was immediately sent a text saying we had been put on the list. Then as we stood over to the side another employee who was walking by very politely asked if we had been helped. I thought that was a nice gesture as a lot of times that doesn't happen. We walked back to the bar on the first floor to grab a beer. Both of our beers were very good. As we sat there we noticed other people that seemed to have entered after us being seated. My wife, being the one that was starving, went up to the front just to check on our spot. She was then told by the hostess that they didn't have our names. Kind of odd since when we gave our names the first time we also gave our phone number in order to be texted. Not the biggest deal just a little longer wait now. Our wait really wasn't that long and it allowed us time to venture up stairs. There was a private event going on so we couldn't access the other bar upstairs but the atmosphere is really cool. Although I kind of don't understand why all the seating is tables that hold 6-8 people but are often of course occupied by only 2. I'm not that big into community seating but I was actually thinking it was in fact community seating based on the size of all the tables. We did order the loaded tots which were honestly the best I have ever had. They came out super fast but were super crispy and covered in toppings. We decided to share a burger, which was perfectly cooked and also very good. We would definitely return in the future.
Be the first to ReplyQuite a Disappointment. . .
My husband and I were looking forward to dinner in this neat old building. His fish and chips were "ok", my reuben sandwich was, frankly, the worst I'd ever had. No taste at all, except for salt. Lots and lots of salt. Salty fries, too. The beer was good, though! The waitress noted that I hadn't eaten my meal, and offered to get something else. I declined. She was very nice, though, and we spoke to the manager who said they were working on "quality" in the kitchen. I know Covid has wreaked havoc everywhere, so I was trying to be encouraging. But if the food isn't up to snuff, then don't serve it!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Beer Mac and Cheese...and beer!
Seriously fantastic beer mac and cheese. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the taste was amazing. Also had the cherrywood tri tip tacos and so fantastic! Well done "pub" food. Can I say again how much I loved the beer mac and cheese? Beer was very good as well. Hubs really liked the Key Lime beer, even took a six pack home. Service was a bit slow, but hey it's still a pandemic and hard to find servers, so they might have just been understaffed. When they were around, so pleasant, so helpful.
Be the first to ReplyNeat atmosphere
We enjoyed the architecture and reuse of the space. Food was fine but meh. They focus on the beer options!
