The best burrata I've ever had! And with their homemade focaccia bread it was a magical combination. The Roman Pasta Flight was exciting to try and the best one was Bucatini all'Amatriciana(which they have by itself). The service was excellent! I loved the atmosphere in here and they even have hair ties and mints near the bathroom!

Had the most unbelievable meal here! Service was outstanding, restaurant itself was stunning and the food was out of this world. Do not sleep on the Sorpresine, was probably one of the best meals of my life! Can't wait to come back!
Food average, overpriced.
Service outstanding though. Ordered Porchetta, slab of pork fat. Ravioli were very bland.

My love and I had traveled from Canada earlier that day and stumbled upon this gem of an eatery. As a restaurateur himself, we were very impressed!! The food was incredible! The cheese plate with honeycomb chunk , cherry puree and balsamic dip paired very well with the cheeses offered. The waygu pasta dish, seasonal carrots and canneloni with the rich delectable sauce, insert drool emoji here. Oh, and the cheese stuffed squash blossoms might be one of the BEST dishes I have EVER eaten. Our server Alex from California absolutely made our night. He had massive knowledge of each dish offering. His recommendations were spot on to our requests. He was fun, polite and hysterical. What an added delight to an already incredible dining experience. The entire staff and the attention to detail on every single thing was really something to observe. A dirty dish did not sit on a table for longer than 30 seconds. Good grief, there was even someone to come and wipe our crumbs and drip-drops. In addition, might I recommend the Tiramisu. Walk the extra 10 footsteps to the doorway in the alleyway toward Union Station. Downtown is beautiful, by the way! The prices appear high, but the portions are appropriate and once you have the full 4-course meal, you leave feeling very satisfied. Excellent wine list. As a former wine drinker I still appreciate a good look to reminisce. I had the non-alcoholic option which was also a most delightful. Go. Spend the money. Have the enjoyable experience. Savour the flavours. Please enjoy!! Love was in the air.

Tavernetta is one of my favorite spots in Denver and the pasta is always a highlight. The doppio ravioli was fresh and so beautiful, with each side of the pasta offering a different burst of flavor. It was such a fun and unique dish. We also tried a steak entrée and the pancetta e melone. The melon dish had a texture that was not quite my favorite, though I could see why others enjoyed it. Our server was incredibly helpful and talked us through new dishes, wine, and what the standouts were. Tavernetta is consistently excellent and I will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere! delicious food! Will definitely continue to go out of the way to stop here on my travels! Would recommend!
Gret promise - unfriendly service practices
Tavernetta was highly recommended and our expectations were met with a nice first impression by the warm, buzzy decor. It went downhill fast. Our haughty server could not have been more unpleasant. Imperious to the bone, he blamed every unmet request with an apology of " I'm just doing what I'm told". Starving and want an app as you peruse the menu? Forget it. Want to order a bottle of wine? Can't do that. You have to speak with a sommelier. Want your dishes to come out in a certain order? No promises. Food was fine, yet having dined all over the world for fifty years, I must say it was one of the most bizarre service experiences ever. All smacked of management policies designed to make things easy for the house. No wonder the server was unhappy. He had to represent such condescending nonsense.

If you're looking for a trendy Italian restaurant with good vibes, look no further. Tavernetta is beautiful from the moment you step in. Our party of 3 came in on a busy Saturday evening, but we were able to grab spots at the bar. Cocktail menu is well made, couldn't pass up the white Negroni which is my favorite drink. For food items, we started with the squash blossoms, which you have to get if you can! For our mains we had the rigatoni, bucatini and the special pasta of the day which was a corn pasta. All so flavorful and perfectly cooked! We ended the meal in the best way with an espresso martini. Final review: 4/5 stars
Amazing restaurant on all fronts!
Such a great place. Had the soup of the day, chilled tomato peach. It was light and refreshing. Cacio e Pepe was the best l've had in a while. Creamy and perfectly seasoned. Great wine program. They had both Cristal and Krug champagnes by the glass so I had both side by side to compare. A rare opportunity. Both delicious. Finished with a perfectly made Macchiato and my favorite amaro, Nonino! Beautiful spit, nice patio and excellent service. Bravo!

We had a terrific dining experience at Tavernetta! The service was outstanding--friendly, prompt, fun, everything you always hope for when you dine out! The food was also really enjoyable--the steaks were cooked perfectly and we had a unique artichoke salad that was tasty and filling. They also have a lot of nice wines, cocktails, and unique mocktails. Everyone in our group was impressed. I am definitely looking forward to coming back and trying the pastas!
VG Choice for Italian
This is a VG restaurant. My daughter and I were in town for baseball and enjoyed dining here. VG lamb rigatoni and burrata. Decent list of wines by the glass, Good vibe.
Not your Nona’s Italian food
If you’re looking for Italian comfort food, this is not your destination. Pretentious and grossly overpriced were the best descriptions of our experience. Food was actually not very good. A big, expensive disappointment.
Delicious Every Single Time!
I eat at Tavernetta every year for my birthday and it’s consistently delicious with exceptional customer service. The burrata appetizer is fantastic and the branzino is out of this world! Make sure to save room for dessert too, because their tiramisu is equally mouthwatering. Can’t wait to go again!
Not impressed
Out with adult family members, not bambini. The food was mediocre at best. Medium well steak was rare, pasta dishes were plain. The focaccia was in loaf loaf-like slices, no crispy top and bottom crust and the dipping oil was plain. The portions were small and overpriced. Service was medium. Not impressed, there are better places to go.
Excellent food and service.
What can I say about this restaurant, but Wow!! The service was over the top! We went here with friends. It took a long time to get a reservation because this restaurant is very popular. It's not huge, but it's a decent size for a restaurant. This would be a good restaurant for a special, romantic evening. It's located right at the end of the train station, so it was super easy to get to. We ordered drinks, wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert. Everything was excellent! I was going to order the ravioli, but my friend asked about other dishes & the server said that they have Cacio e Pepe. One of my favorite dishes!! I changed my order to Cacio e Pepe & it was amazing! My husband & I split a salad & it was plenty. Freddie was our server. He was friendly & made recommendations & helped us navigate the menu. The sommelier helped us choose a bottle of wine. The wine list is extensive. The service was actually an entire team. We all were served our dishes at the exact same time.
Great Italian poor location
The focaccia was excellent. Had a creamier texture than normal and loved the oil dip. The salad was good and dressed well but a little boring. It mostly highlighted the Parm cheese. Bucatini pasta was perfect. Tomato sauce base with bacon and black pepper flavor. Service was decent. I would say cocktails were pretty average and the patio setting was literally in the courtyard of Union station which I did not like. Overall great meal but a tad expensive for what you get.
Fabulous Service and Great Food!
We had a reservation for five at 7:45pm on a Thursday night. We were escorted to the private dining room. Apparently a business meeting left early, so we were offered the room. What a nice surprise! We were welcomed by the manager Seth, who was excellent at explaining the menu and wine list. He was so personable and fun that we could see right away that he loved his job and deserved to be the manager. Our server, Nicholas, was also lovely, as was Ryland the sommelier, who helped us pick out two bottles of white from the Campania region in Italy. They all made us feel so welcomed and comfortable like we were eating at a Nona’s kitchen table in Italy. Our two adult children said that it was the best service they have ever experienced in restaurant. We decided to share many dishes from the menu. Here is our takeaway: Focaccia - typical for an Italian restaurant - it was very good Squash Blossoms - outstanding. It was a special for the night and was a hit for the table. We had to order 2 extra for $7 a piece so we each got one. Pricey, but worth it! The cheese oozed out and was so delicious. Carpaccio - WAY to salty. You could not discern any beef flavor because of the saltiness. Skip this. Barbabietole - smokey beets with a hint of goat cheese. Flavors are spot on. Bluefin Crudo - it was fresh, but not our favorite presentation for a crudo. Pappardelle - very fresh with the summer corn but could have used more corn, chanterelle and peach. It was mostly pasta that was cooked perfectly. Cavatelli - the sausage is VERY fennel forward. It says that on the menu, but the fennel takes over the dish. I like that, but if one is sensitive to fennel, this might not be the dish for you. Raviolo Special - was the hit of the night! It was a large raviolo with ricotta, corn and tons of truffle on top (we chose that instead of caviar). However, it was pricey at $48 for one plate (see pic). We thought the pasta could have been cooked a tiny bit more as the edges were very chewy. Manzo - this NY strip surprised us for how good it was. It looked too rare upon presentation, but was fantastic in it's preparation. Pesce Spada - it was good, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Shishito and Jimmy Nardello peppers - a complimentary dish they served us. We devoured them in about 5 seconds because they were so good. We ordered a scoop of gelato to share and they were so gracious to include a tiramisu as well. Both were excellent! The service and food at Tavernetta are worth experiencing. We will be back the next time we visit our kids in Denver.
Wow! Delicious! Highly Recommend!
Oh My Goodness! Delicious! Wonderful service! Wonderful suggestions! Loved the atmosphere! Katherine took great care of us! We just hopped off the train and landed this gem!💙
5 Star Dining Experience
Exceptional food and service! Our pasta dinners were amazing. The staff members were absolutely flawless. The sommelier was knowledgeable and did not push super expensive choices. Wine prices were very fair. The manager stopped by and asked if everything was going OK. Dessert was the star of the evening! Do not miss ordering Affogato for dessert. Espresso poured over Honey Gelato with an Almond Biscotti. Dessert was a show stopper. Thanks Tavernetta for a wonderful culinary experience.
Nice spot
Nice atmosphere in a convenient central location. Staff is attentive, albeit a bit scattered (we had at least 10 different people attending to the table). Food is delicious, although the portions are on the smaller side relative to the price. Housemade pasta is delicious. Gets crowded so make sure to book a reservation!
Nice ambiance and very friendly staffs.
We sat at the bar because tables are all booked and the wait will be too long. My girlfriend and I were really excited to try out the restaurant because it's on our girls date list. However, the food is one the worst flavors we ever had. We ordered a pasta flight because the bartender recommended it. Four small plates of pasta with 4 different sauces but all we can tasted is the salt... SUPER salty.. we couldn't even finish one small plate. For how much we don't like to waste food, I felt bad that we didn't finish anything. So disappointed and I really don't think we ever got any Italian food like this bad.
Wonderful evening! The venu is simple and elegant.
It's lively but not loud. Despite the buzz, we were able to hold a comfortable conversation. The staff was exceptional, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We started with carpaccio and foccacia, which we decided to split 50:50 regular and gluten free. It definitely put us in a good mood. As the main part, we decided to go with Spagetti Alla Nerano (one of us in regular version, me in gluten free version so fusilli instead of spaghetti) and a NY strip steak. The pasta was outstanding. My recommendation is to mix it up on the plate a bit to combine the taste. My partner said the steak was so far the best one she had in Denver. Needless to say, the dinner was fenomenal. Having a bit of a sweet tooth, we shared some desserts. The server recommended the Colorado honey gelato, and oh my, it was delicious! They mentioned that sometimes the customers are surprised there is no vanilla flavor, but it's really not needed when you have the honey! We also did the panna cotta, which was a mix of pumpkin (panna cotta), carmel apple (meringue), and cranberry (gelato). I'm running out of adjectives here! It was to die for. One of the pest panna cottas I ever had, and the mix of tastes was extraordinary. A litte side note: The size of the dishes is more European than American, which we loved. We were able to have a starter, main and a dessert, and not feel stuffed. For me, that's a huge advantage, but I'm mentioning that in case some of you might be big eaters and expect large portions. Here it's about the taste, not quantity! They did have a few dishes marked as bigger plates, though, in case someone is very hungry or wants leftovers. Even though gluten free options are not marked on the menu, the server walked us through everything, and about 90-95% already is or can be made GF. They have gluten free foccacia and pasta (fusilli). I think at the time of our vist the only options that were not possible to adjust were seafood, ravioli, and baked pasta. And some of the desserts. It's definitely one of the top restaurants in Denver. Can't wait to come back again!
As someone who loves trying various restaurants I was
As someone who loves trying various restaurants I was excited for this! We didn't have a reservation but tried to come in before heading to a concert. They let us in as a walk in and even put us in the back reservation room. My friends and I aren't drinking these days because we are trying to get hot girl summer bodies and after we told the waitress we wouldn't be drinking her tone and mood changed towards us. She was super rude the rest of the night and I felt like we were being judged! My friends and I all thought the vibes were not it with the staff that night. To make matters worse two of us asked her if we could share something as we are watching our caloric intake and she said the portion would be plenty big enough for two people to get full. When the pasta came out it was only enough for 2-3 bites a person. Had we known that it would've been that small we would've ordered separate portions. The waitress then came over to us and mockingly asked if we were still hungry. We said yes and she informed us that we could not order from the kitchen again as it would take too long! We ended up going to our concert hungry. Super disappointed and as a TikTok reviewer I did not make a TikTok about this place! Cancelled!
What an awesome experience from start to finish!! Valet was
What an awesome experience from start to finish!! Valet was simple and affordable at the limelight. Lovely acknowledgement upon walking into Restaurant. Enjoyed hearing waiters recommendations for plates, we got everything he recommended. He asked for allergies and was very knowledgeable on what allergens were in each dish. We had the focaccia, burrata, insalata mista, lamb rigatoni and lamb loin followed by tiramisu. Only downfall was the acoustics are awful, we could barely hear our waiter speak to us. Honestly as. 40 year old acoustics are important to me when dining out, I'd like to hear my husband and the waiter. They could use some acoustic muffling things on the ceiling since the walls are cement. Next time we would request to sit outside. Everything came out in perfect succession and was off the charts amazing in flavor. Cocktails were top notch, I'd come back just for cocktails. I had the scarlett ibis and Kate for the train, but I want to try them all!

The ambiance was very nice, and the service was highly attentive and very helpful actually. The food was good, but I felt like they were dishes I could easy recreate at home. The duck in one of the pasta dishes was full of bone bits that my partner kept on biting into which was obviously very disappointing.

Great happy hour spot! Was happy to find this place on the backside of Union Station. Definitely an upscale place that u felt fancy in. Looking forward to that prosciutto plate again!
Delicious Italian craving satisfied
Excellent ambiance. Great selection of wines and cocktails. We didn’t have a reservation and opted to walk-in. Party of 2 was an hour wait on a Friday night. Not too bad! We walked around and got some boba (mid) while we waited. Wait time ended up being around 45 minutes or so. We sat at the bar. My chair was a bit uncomfortable but it seemed like I was the only one who had a smaller than usual barstool? My girlfriend’s chair was roomier and more comfortable. We got the insalada mista (salad) to start, the rigatoni with a lamb ragu, and the capunti with braised rabbit, to share. We ended with the affogato and a macchiato. The salad was bright, perfectly portioned, and delicious. It had a generous serving of Parmesan that was somehow light and airy, at the same time. A great way to get started. 9/10. The mains were good. I preferred the capunti (8/10) over the rigatoni dish (7/10), but both were delectable. The pasta is made fresh, in-house and you can definitely tell! It’s tender and rich. Though I subtract points for finding some broken pieces of rabbit bone in the capunti. I’m glad I didn’t break a tooth! My girlfriend didn’t have this issue with the capunti, so I’ll chalk it up to bad luck on my end. The espresso for the affogato was super strong, but it paired nicely with the honey gelato and almond biscuit. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this spot for some delicious Italian food.

On our way through Denver to Glenwood Springs, my wife and I stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening with no reservation, Aislyn worked with us in to get a table right away. Our waiter was Mike, my wife decided to let Mike choose our dishes for the evening. Starting with an exceptional gin and tonic, we had the Burrata, Piatti Di Formaggi and Foccacia bread for an appetizer. It was truly delicious but the homemade focaccia bread. Ya'll, omg it was to die for. Wish I had some right now. Next,
Was pretty good.
Did not enjoy my entree at all. Would select an alternative next time.
Food service and ambiance were amazing.
The general manager was super accommodating and gave us personalized attention. The flavor quality of the food was top-notch. The whole chicken was great but I would recommend numerous orders of the pasta with lobster. We could have feasted on that all night.
I made a reservation 4 months in advance for 6 people.
Two days prior I had to change to 5 due to a funeral for a person in my party. We were seated in the lounge at too small of a table and one of the portions of a pasta dish was much smaller than the rest of our pasta dishes. The service was great, but for a reservation that was made 4 months in advance I would think they would not cram us into the lounge!

Impeccable ambiance with an even better menu and staff to boot. My wife and I went for our Anniversary and got one of the Alpenglobe reservations, quaint and quiet. This is the place for the best Italian food around and the most courteous staff. 12/10
April Birthday celebration!
I love trying new places. This place was Very Good. The place is beautiful. The staff was amazing. They were very patient with our questions. We ordered 2 appetizers, 1 salad,2 pasta dishes, Steak, and a dessert. The appetizers were awesome. BURRATA andThe Focaccia bread was one of the best I have had. The salad was very fresh and good. INSALATA MISTA But it had a fresh herb that my husband did not like. The lamb RIGATONI Lamb Ragu, Pecorino Romano. Was the favorite. The steak. I really liked. My husband felt it was a little tough. My TAGLIATELLE Maine Lobster, Calabrian Chili, Preserved Tomato, Celery. Was very tasty. My only complaint was that it needs more lobster. The flavor was very good. The dessert was very good. The herbal tea was awesome. Overall it was a great experience. My drink was wonderful LATE FOR THE TRAIN Jones House Vodka, Grapefruit, Lemon, Honey, Coconut, Rose

Above average cuisine; higher-end Italian fare served
Above average cuisine; higher-end Italian fare served family style on huge plates and in abundance. You can also order a la carte. Decent bar selections. Great for large parties and/or celebrations with co-workers. Just steps away from the light rail for those who don't want to drive after drinking or are heading to airport when done. Easy walk to Ball Arena and Coors Field. The vibe is more noisy than intimate but nice decor. Think white tablecloth. Service was just right - attentive but not fussy or pushy. It checks all the boxes with tasty dishes, great service and vibrant ambiance. Definitely will go there again.

Where to start here.
. While doing research on "best Denver spots with homemade pasta" I came across Tavernetta many times. Reservations seem to fill up but we were able to find a time in advance that worked for us. The appetizers were good but the pasta was "oh my" The food and ambiance was cozy, warm, homey, and so delicious. I'd be dreaming of their food ever since. Would pass on the dessert though- or maybe we just weren't fans of our choice. I'd definitely recommend Holy Moley and then Tavernetta for a great date night within walkable distance.
Upscale Italian at upscale prices? What's not to love? Do
Upscale Italian at upscale prices? What's not to love? Do try to make a reservation, though. Unfortunately, we're past the price range of Italian restaurants that offer free bread, but the focaccia is a great starter - warm and fresh, as it should be. The burrata was also fantastic (you can't go wrong with spreading cheese on bread!), but do note that it doesn't come with bread itself. The crudo was incredibly fresh and it felt like the prawns had been caught within the hour. As for the entrees, the rigatoni was by far my favorite. Cheesy, chewy, savory, and delectable, this was wholeheartedly the best pasta of the night. It definitely helped fill the "no free bread"-sized hole in my stomach. The garganelli was good but a bit disappointing, as the flavor was a bit on the heavier side, and the duck seemed like an afterthought and was sprinkled among the pasta noodles. The lobster tagliatelle was pretty good and had a light spicy note that helped enhance the dish. The steak was incredibly well-cooked and very tender, and it had this absolutely beautiful sear that produced that perfect, not too hard crust that all steaks desire, much like how I desired more bread, preferably free. Paired with the potatoes, it made for a balanced, hearty feast. A great place for a fancy dinner. You'll be impressed.
Phenomenal and worth all the accolades they've received!
Phenomenal and worth all the accolades they've received! My wife's new favorite restaurant
Tavernetta is a special place.
An authentic northern Italian dining experience in a chic, comfortable environment right next to Union Station. I celebrated my birthday here in December, and while I was disappointed there was no special cocktail or dessert for me (or any mention of my birthday lol), the food and overall service made up for it. I've always had pleasant experiences with the hosts and servers. It's refined dining but very welcoming and relaxed too! I visited for lunch this week and enjoyed the fixed menu - two courses for $30 with the option to add a wine pairing (half glass per course) for $20. The rigatoni caccio e pepe is divine but I gotta give proper due to the insalata mista which was soooo delicious. Order the burrata and foccacia to start and finish your meal with tira misu.
This place is awesome! The cocktails were awesome.
Pasta fantastic. Highlight of our trip. So delicious.
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious! Not huge
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious! Not huge portions so take that into account when ordering. Definitely worth going! Downside is that the staff seemed unhappy? Not sure how else to describe it. Everyone was professional and did a good job, no complaints. But no staff member had a smile on their face and gave the impression that they loved what they did and were excited to share the experience with us. Sad actually. Maybe just a bad vibe for everyone that evening but Friday's are fun days in my book??
Top notch dining experience
Met some friends for dinner on a Monday night at Tavernetta. The dining room was beautifully decorated with a lovely fireplace and a beautiful bar. The service was outstanding. Wait staff was very attentive and made sure that all entrees were delivered to the table simultaneously. I had the focaccia which was full of great flavor. I tried a few bites of my wife's insalata mista and their house made buttermilk dressing was impressive. My entree was the rigatoni which had a lamb ragu and was excellent and beautifully presented.
Making Magic!!
Absolution Perfection!!!! The only surprise is that it took Michelin so long to notice the magic they're making at Tavernetta. The open kitchen is smooth and spotless the ambiance is ideal the drinks are as perfectly balanced as every plate we ordered. Service is flawless, never rushed nor neglected
Very salty appetizers
Great happy hour wine and really great priced appetizrrs.. However, we found both small plates of Calamari and the meatballs to be very salty.
Not worth hype
You have to really want to visit to actually find this establishment. Extremely hard to park. Nice, but not worth the effort. Service is excellent. Food is ok. Drinks are basically prepared - boring. Not worthy of hype. One and done. It’s a regret.
Some of the best pasta ever
This was some of the best food I’ve ever tasted in my life! The Michelin recognition was definitely deserved. Service was impeccable (if a little intense) and the pasta dishes I tried were just gorgeous. Everything from the quality of the paper the menus were printed on to the bowls to the flavours, to the open kitchen… I loved every second!
Fantastic Meal at Tavernetta!!
Walked in on a Sunday night with no reservation around 8pm, were seated at the bar within 15 minutes. Was one of the top meals we have had anywhere really. Pheasant layered pasta dish (special) and the lamb ragu pasta, both superb. The setting was perfect and we were so happy that we walked out of our way to eat here on our final night in Denver.
