Tea Lounge at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Super cute lounge on the 23rd floor of the Waldorf Astoria.
We were seated promptly at a window table for our 2p reservation. I believe they stagger the seating times so it's not overly crowded. The lounge is open air, more like a lobby than an enclosed restaurant, but nicely decorated, and the crowd was mostly women dressed nicely. Our server was very knowledgeable and sweet, but not overbearing. I got the vanilla oolong tea, and a pot was more than enough for me. It came with milk, but it wasn't really necessary. My friend got the monkey bread tea (I may have gotten the name wrong). Service comes with finger sandwiches (salmon, ham, chicken curry ,and egg salad), scones with accompaniments, and bite sized desserts. The sandwiches were good- I wish there were more of them, but the egg salad was a little unwieldy. The scones were amazing- not overly hard or crunchy like some I've had. The desserts were a little too sweet/rich and also a bit unwieldy. Overall, it was a good experience and the view was fantastic. It would have been nice to have some light music/entertainment (im picturing a violinist for some reason). I don't know if I'd revisit, but I'm glad I was able to check it off the list.
It is pricy but the view makes it worth it.
I came alone, my favorite part was the scones and clotted cream/lemon curd. The sandwiches were good flavors. The desserts tasted good but I did not finish them, it was getting rather rich. They did provide a to-go cup since I could not finish my entire pot of tea before leaving.
You definitely need a reservation here.
The view is so pretty way up in the hotel and you can see the strip clearly. The service is great and the presentation is amazing. The tea time is a preset menu with your choice of tea and sweet and savory food. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but it's really filling. I think the price is fair. Will return! This is what Vegas is great at!
If you're looking for a great tea adventure, I'd look
If you're looking for a great tea adventure, I'd look somewhere else, but I had to give this place a try as their view of the strip looked (and was) fabulous at sunset. I highly recommend you make reservations through their website at the Waldorf Astoria. From their menu online, I knew their tea selection wasn't unique or very vast, but I was hoping their food would be good and then coupled with that view, it would be a great experience. That wasn't the case. I really didn't care for the food they had, and at about $62 a person, it wasn't worth it, IMO. First, lets talk tea. The teas came out in big tea pots and were really hot. I got the Jasmine Pearl White Tea and my husband got their Green Lychee Tea. The Lychee tea was really subtle - my husband said he couldn't taste the lychee and asked if he could swap it out for another one (the Mad Hatter) and our server said it was alright to do so. The Jasmine tea was good - refreshing and just a tiny bit sweet. Then our food came out. Their curry sandwich was super dry. One bite and I already didn't like it I tried their ham sandwich and it was way too salty for me. I tried their egg sandwich and it was dry. My least favorite was their salmon sandwich - it was as if someone sprinkled salt on top of the salmon being marinated in salt water. It also had this really weird taste that lingered in my mouth after consumption. The scones were hard and not warm. The view was fantastic though, and our server kept coming by to check up on us. Once we paid for the tea experience she pretty much never came by again, which was fine. I told my husband I don't need to do this again - It was too much money and the food wasn't good. Two stars because of the service and the view.
This is a review for December 2023: we got the Winter Menu
This is a review for December 2023: we got the Winter Menu 2023 set.* Not the best afternoon tea experience food-wise, but the view of the strip is quite nice on the 23rd floor. You're definitely paying premium for the location. However, I will say that I didn't expect the lounge to be just a small side section of the hotel lounge; I envisioned it being a separate restaurant within the hotel, does that make sense? Anyways, I booked it a few weeks ahead of my reservation, it's pretty popular. You also need to use a credit card to book. My bf and I came way too early because we wanted seats by the window. There are not a ton of tables, maybe 4-5 tables by the window. And only 2 seat tables are available by the window, larger parties are sat at a larger table, not directly by the window. It worked out fine and we got a window seat, but everyone just crowds by the podium in no particular order before opening and she just decides who gets to be sat first essentially (of course everyone had reservations though). Service is curt, they definitely do try to churn you out as there is a time limit. Menu is set; you get to pick a tea each and you can add additional enhancements such as bubbles/mimosas/etc. The winter afternoon tea was $62/person. Our sandwiches were good (You can see the menu in my photos); my favorite one was definitely the curry chicken. Scones were yummy; the accompanied lemon curd and homemade berry jam was especially delicious. Desserts, unfortunately, were actually the weakest of the set. There was a macaron, pear tart, eggnog cream puff and peppermint mousse dome; all of which wasn't that great to be honest. In particular, the macaron was dry and flaky, not fresh and subtly chewy, like a great macaron should be. The desserts just tasted stale, as if they were made yesterday/sat out for hours. Due to the desserts not being great, I probably won't be back. But, I do think it was a good experience to try it at least once - if not for the view.
I've always wanted to try the Tea Lounge.
I heard the view, tea and food were amazing. Finally got my chance. It was for a birthday. The view of LV was amazing! It was definitely breathtaking. Service was amazing. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance and decoration were gorgeous. We ordered a different pot of tea. So we could try a different tea. I tried the monkey picked. It was good but my fav was the organic lychee green. The scones with the Devonshire cream, lemon curd and homemade berry jam were so good. I used all the lemon curd and took my brothers. I even tried Devonshire cream and lemon curd at the same time. It was all worth the price of admission.
This place was good when Mandarin owned it.
Now service is poor which is hard becasue they bring everything at once. They run 3 seatings but are constantly backed up because they are understaffed so you spend a lot of time waiting for basically a 20 top place. After they seat you , they talk faster than an auctioneer and bring the food out. Sandwiches and scones are good but parsimoniuous. Desserts were inedible. Maxed poorly the night before based on moisture content. Saw the table behind me spit them out . It's also expensive and given the. Take a pass on this
This place is so cute.
Loved the ambiance and setup. Each guest gets their own pot of tea, and the service is really thorough (they explain what each of the little tea sandwiches are, and accommodate any dietary restrictions). I will say that the food could be more flavorful, but overall a wonderful experience.
Food was delicious tea was perfect but the view was
Food was delicious tea was perfect but the view was stunning and the bed part. Definitely worth the price for the vibes our serve was great and knowledgeable.
After being so excited and hearing so many great things
After being so excited and hearing so many great things about this place thru friends and family I thought it would be a great opportunity to share a beautiful time with my girlfriends. Everything was going great we were able to get reservations for a party of 5 and we were lucky enough to even get the table with the perfect view! We even decided to dress up for the occasion but all this was sadly ruined by the horrible service we received by our server. I don't know if she was having a bad day or was maybe just annoyed by our excitement for the place but she was just mean cold and rude the whole time. the food was great the tea was delicious but over all we didn't feel a bit welcomed.. we were looking forward to this for weeks and now I just wish we would have gone somewhere els.. it would have been nice if someone would have also reached out to let us know the place was under construction, i guess when I think of Waldorf Astoria I automatically expect an amazing experience I would highly recommend you give these a call and make sure the place is done with renovations before visiting and I hope you all have a better experience than mine. This is my very first one star review and I usually don't do this but for an average of 80.00 per person with tip included for tea I would expect allot more
Great place for a ladies gathering! We came here to
Great place for a ladies gathering! We came here to celebrate some birthdays and the views are amazing from the tea lounge! There is also a bar adjacent with comfy seating as well for a drink before or after tea. We love the atmosphere, casual and quaint. Tea choices were abundant and I loved that we can try different teas since we had such a big group. The savory sandwich type food was just okay, curry chicken salad was by far the best, followed by the porchetta sandwich. The egg salad and smoked salmon options were just meh. Dessert was really good, favorite being the passionfruit dessert and the caramel apple tart. I'm generally not a scone person but their scones were so moist and the mixed berry and lemon curd are amazing here! Overall, really enjoyed the atmosphere, great views and great place to catch up with friends. I did notice that one of the tea pot spouts was chipped...thought for the location and price they would and should retire any worn items. I saw they had a kids menu, so great option for a mommy daughter date as well!
This is an overdue review.
We came here for tea in the summer and had the best tea (better than 2 Ritz locations I've tried in the Bay Area). Better in service and food selection and quantity. First, service was fantastic. Near the end, we needed a box to take home the pastries we couldn't finish, and the tea was near empty, our server still offered to refill my tea so that we could relax and enjoy the view. The food: 2 hot scones per person, most places offer one. The sandwiches were flavorful and enough for tea: ham, curried chicken, truffle cream cheese in brioche, and deviled egg in puff pastry. The pastries: a cream puff, a fruit tart, a blackberry mousse dome, and a macaron. All yummy and different. For 2 people, we each selected our own tea and the selection was great. The clotted cream was delicious and light. The service stood out the most. The server was just super pleasant - I really should have gotten her name.
Afternoon tea for a birthday celebration. Attendees were familiar with tea rooms and tea service.
The room is lovely but better suited for a cocktail lounge as opposed to a Tea Room. The service was very good at first but then disappeared. The food was very good and suited to a tea service. The cost was excessive. I will not recommend the experience to friends.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
