The Barn at Cielo Farms Malibu Reviews from The Last Year
Beautiful view, disappointing wine, overpriced
We visited with 2 our friends. The view and the grounds are gorgeous. The seating was comfortable and the service staff was friendly. However, the wine was very disappointing. I would say the most “2 Buck Chuck” tastes better. Given this, the experience was WAY overpriced. We paid $35 for the reservation which did not apply to the cost of the tasting. The white wine tasting was $50 per person for 4 standard (but mediocre) pours. The mixed tasting was $60. I would expect prices like this from a top quality winery. All in all a disappointing experience except for the view.
What a wonderful experience all around, went for Mother's
What a wonderful experience all around, went for Mother's Day and it was the absolute perfect way to spend the day together as a family!! We first enjoyed a bottle of the Rosy Bubbles and then wanted another so we tried a bottle of the Brut Bubbles. We all LOVE the bubbly kinda drinks in my family and man oh man, these bottles did not disappoint! They were absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The views are remarkable, the set up is on point, and the sunset there was simply magical. It was our first time going, but definitely not our last! Looking forward to our next visit to The Barn!
Excellent place for couples or groups
The views are beautiful. We had been here before but wanted to share this great place with friends. We ordered wine and sat outside enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. Food is available as well. I can see booking a group event here sometime in the future.
Its very stressful planning a proposal.
I was searching for weeks for the best place to do it and once i found Cielo farms, i knew this was it. The location is amazing. Hidden in the hills lays a beautiful farm where you can walk thru and leads out to a circle with stunning views. Jamie their event coordinator made everything so easy. She laid out all the options and within 30 minutes my event was booked. She then made sure to connect me with one of the staff that was over looking the event and was going to be there the day of. Both of them answered any questions or problems i had and were always a call away and answered! My experience with them was phenomenal and i recommend this place to anyone who wants to make a romantic event.
What an awesome vineyard.
Almost smack dab in the middle of the Santa Monica Hills and a great central area to get to whether you are coming from the North or South. Wine was great, but the views made it even better. I highly recommend! The bartenders were really knowledgeable and the service was impeccable with people walking around taking things away as you're done with them or providing water!
Attractive view but outrageously overpriced.
The $35 reservation fee is just to get in the door, not applied to your bill or anything. As others have mentioned there is no reserved seating and no wait staff. You pay $35 to seat yourself, go to the bar and order yourself, and pick up your own food and drinks. Wine was unremarkable at $30/glass, and as others had mentioned the food is prepackaged sold boxes from Erewon, the country's most expensive grocery store. Totally not worth it.
Beautiful views and the white rabbit wine was our favorite.
We went during the week, had a reservation and didn't have to pay for valet. It was self park which was good because this place is pricey. The only down side was you would think with a reservation they wouldn't run out of food but we got there at 3:30 and they were out of charcuterie boards. The description says no food or drink but the winery said we can order Uber eats that day because they only had chocolates available. I would have rather brought my own snacks because the plan was to go to dinner after. I think they should allow food and drinks if you are allowing Uber eats . Pizza is only available on the weekend which I also missed in the description. Probably would have stayed longer and drank more if I had some crackers to munch on. Lol It was nice but unfortunately, would not visit again.

We came to celebrate a birthday at Cielo Farms on a Friday afternoon. Beautiful location with stunning views. The wine is on the pricey side but worth the atmosphere and attentive service. They offer charcuterie and pizzas on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It's amazing to know that this hidden gem is only an hour or so away from DTLA. Great place to come spend a beautiful sunny day and escape the hustle bustle of the city.
I was initially apprehensive about Cielo.
Malibu is expensive, so high prices are to be expected. But prices at Cielo felt wild. I'm talking $30 for a GLASS of wine. Dude! But we went, and I'm so glad we did. Here's why: It's a breathtaking winery on top of a mountain in Malibu. Views for days, firepits, class, elegance and delicious wine. Enough said. If you are on vacation, looking for something special to do and don't mind the splurge then it's 100% worth the visit. Especially if you love a good winery, since there aren't many in the area. Definitely make a reservation if you plan to visit on the weekend. They end up fully booking out, so if you want to go you'll need one. I could've sat and sipped for hours!

My friend from Dallas visited and she wanted to visit a winery, The Barn didn't disappoint. We had a calm and pleasant experiance. My friend loved it.
An absolutely stunning winery with breathtaking views,
An absolutely stunning winery with breathtaking views, nestled up in the Malibu mountains. Service here was super friendly and the wine was amazing. This is a great spot for a little weekend getaway. Came here on a Friday, and it wasn't too busy. You are definitely paying for quality wine, service, and views here!
I honestly loved the idea of a winery in Malibu, but I
I honestly loved the idea of a winery in Malibu, but I didn't agree with the exorbitant pricing for the quality received: * $35 Reservation fee for the Day Pass * $15 Valet fee (no self-parking option) * $50 (non-member) White Rabbit Flight (4 small pours) I liked the White Rabbit Flight, but thought the pricey food tasted average. Open seating and self-service: After ordering and finding a table, you'll have to return to the Barn and carry your trays of food and drinks back to your seats. The panoramic backdrop of the Santa Monica mountains and tabletop fires made our visit feel secluded, serene, and warm! If a scenic and romantic ambiance is your priority, then Cielo Farms might be worthwhile for you.
Hosted a private event here.
Beautiful setting and amazing service. The pizzas were delicious and we enjoyed the variety of wines.
GREAT VINEYARD IN THE MALIBU MOUNTAINS
This review concerns Cielo Farm used as a Wedding Venue. We (BELLA VITA EVENTS - EVENT PLANNERS) were lucky to work at Cielo Farm last June. We had a great experience there! We worked closely with Jamie and Rob, and they are both so lovely and great at what they do! We personally know Rob, and we like to see him blossom and expand the Venue's capabilities. Cielo Farm is a wonderful Wedding Venue. It is a charming rustic vineyard nested in the Malibu Mountains. It is surrounded by a breathtaking scenery. The outdoor ceremony spaces, set next to the fountain and facing the rolling hills, create an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The rustic barn, and dance floor area adorned with fairy twinkle lights, which is adding an elegant touch to the open-air reception area. Known for its commitment to sustainable practices, Cielo Farm provides a farm-to-table culinary experience with locally sourced delights, in-house wine, and experienced preferred vendors. Our Bella Vita Events attentive event coordination team working hand in hand with the Venue's Team ensured a marvelous celebration, making Cielo Farm an ideal choice for couples seeking a picturesque and memorable wedding venue with a European flair. - BELLA VITA EVENTS
Wine Club Scam, Rude, Incapable of having civilized conversation
$846.83 Scam ! Run away while you can. They enrolled me in a so called wine club and I paid original payment of $150 and when I tried to cancel my membership, they charged me another $376 and this is on the top of what I had already paid for everything $470.48 already. You can see the picture of the charge. When I tried to call them. on the phone to simply understand and inquire very politely about the bogus charges the owner/manager, Robert Hirsh, was extremely rude and he hung up on me. I simply asked I wish to return the unused and unopened goods and he replied you can't return them. Further he said we are going to charge you more for what you already paid for. They up charged each bottle of wine $100 because I wanted to cancel my membership and they don't want to take them back and they are not even capable of having a civilized conversation on the phone when I called, they hung up! This is absurd, ridiculous and plain old scam. You can see the pictures of the bill, for 2 pizzas and a small cheese board and a bottle of prosecco which is about $12, they had already charged me $470.48. So they decided it was not enough and they made up bunch of other bogus charges and they felt compelled to charge me another $376.35 which is a total of $846.83 and they refuse to even discuss it on the phone and they hang up. This is the text book definition of scam. For 2 mediocre pizzas, a cheese board and a bottle of $12 prosecco! You would expect at least they would have a good service, but you are wrong. You have to go to the counter and order the food like cafeterias. There are many hidden gems in Los Angeles. This is not one of them. This is a simple and plain scam, charging close to a $1000 for a couple of pizzas. Needless to say I will be disputing the fraudulent charges. Hopefully this review saves some people who are just trying to have a simple bite and a glass of wine and they end up getting scammed and taken advantage of. Stay away !!! Run Run Run ...

I have a reservation for Kasama Chicago I listed but it’s not showing up because the listed opening hours are only until 3 or 4 pm. My reservation is for their dinner service at 5. Is there a way I can change the times myself?
