Great baos sandwiches and salads
Chairman is simple eatery that delivers superb food.
The steamed baos with pork belly and the coca-cola braised pork are my favorites, although the braised beef short rib is also excellent.
The salad is awesome. It is an usual salad with fennel slaw, pickled vegetables, marinated mushrooms, daikon sprouts and tempura flakes in addition to the mixed greens.
The chicken wings are super spicy and really good.
Unique and delicious Asian Taco fusion takeout
Probably the best most unique take on bun me sandwiches / Asian inspired tacos. Soft fluffy dough wrapped around beef, chicken, tempeh or tofu (or pork).each addition with its own sauce and garnish inside. We share 3 or 4 of them plus the green noodle salad. This is a family favorite worth a trip just to grab and go. There isn't much seating so not great to eat in unless you're on a lunch break or want to sit at a counter..

A great place to eat for quick and delish modern Asian street food!
I ABSOLUTELY love their spicy chicken buns with pickled vegetables!!
Good prices, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff!!
Fantastically Tasty with Physical Tenderloin Location
The description on TA is misleading. This is a physical location and not a food truck (though it started off as a food truck and it still goes around the city). Kudos to the establishment for having the guts to be in Tenderloin and bringing more traffic to the location. That said, the immediate surroundings is fine during the day but I'm sure use caution if coming in the evening - especially the surrounding areas.
Note - this is not traditional steamed and baked Chinese buns. The two of us shared 3 steamed buns with Coca-Cola braised short rib, pork belly and spicy chicken and the rice bowl (without meat as there was plenty of meat from the buns). Accompanied the food with pink guava soda, ginger based drink and a bag of the wonton skin chips. Everything had its own unique flavor and every single item was super tasty and savory. Minor complaint - the bun for the spicy chicken was a little mushy as there was some curry from the chicken. The bill was USD $ 32. Can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu.
Tasty!
Very nice bar. Meals are big, healthy and very tasty. Service is helpful. You can eat quickly and not so expensive - about 15-20 USD per person.

I was Leary about these little Asian tacos. But they are great!! I had the smaller version of them. I got the pork belly and the spicy chicken. Both were great, the pork belly was exceptions. The location is in a ghetto area but don't be put off!

Love the Tofu baos. Try one steamed and one baked and you will be all set! They have truck locations at different places everyday.
Be the first to ReplyFour stars for the food
The chairman truck is one of my favorite food trucks because the offerings are delicious. Recently discovered that they have a store front location, so had to check it out.
I remember liking their signature pork belly buns, so got that. Then I also wanted to get the tofu bun because it's supposed to be a little healthier. Both buns were good, but I prefer the baked pork belly buns rather than the steamed version. Both came with daikon pickles. I think the baked version is tastier. But at an extra $3.50 just to get a baked bun I feel that it's not worth the price. The tofu buns are lighter and goes well with the steam buns. It came with a marinated bok choy relish.
So food is 4 stars, and price is 3 stars.
best food truck
I like the baos at this truck-I had one of each (chicken, pork belly and pulled pork) and they are all delicious.

This is a great place to grab a quick bite - good veggie and vegan options, great snacks, good buns. Loved it.
