Nice pub in a great setting but the experience was extremely underwhelming. I won't be returning anytime soon. Substandard service - The team of waiters were generally disorganised and struggled with celiac/gluten free, despite putting it on the booking and emailing ahead. Service nowhere near the standard you expect from a place with so many accolads. It was detailed on the booking it was a 60th birthday celebration, we weren't looking for it to be acknowledged particularly but why ask when you take the booking if you arent going to act upon it!? Limited menu - A real struggle for the celiac/gluten free guest, despite being quiet there was no real attempt to accomodate. The vegan menu was the only option for vegetarians, really poor for a restaurant pitching itself at this level. Cost vs quality - Completely misaligned. The food was fine but nothing special at all, presented quite nicely but lacked flavour depth. I left feeling very stung in my pocket as the prices are high. All things considered, a massive disappointment.
