Fantastic all round
Absolutely fantastic lunch at the Fox and Pheasant! Visiting London from Scotland, the venue is gorgeous, staff are very friendly and welcoming and lunch was fantastic. Great food, great surroundings, hard to beat
Be the first to ReplyNice place for a drink
The Fox and Pheasant is a nice pub and restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and close to the football stadium. The road it’s on has a barrier so only for local traffic.
Be the first to ReplyJust excellent
Our first visit won’t be our last. Fantastic food and very friendly staff made for a wonderful meal. The starters were all excellent, the lamb croquette with Harrisa mayonnaise and the asparagus with Crispy egg were delicious but the absolute star was the leek and bacon tart with Comte cheese and egg yolk - that alone is worth a trip to London from Staffordshire - great main courses especially the Venison Cottage pie - please keep the leek tart on the menu for our next visit

We had a 30th Birthday party upstairs last weekend. It was fantastic! The service was just so wonderful. Rose looked after all of us so so well she made our evening even better. The food was incredible. Delicious, served on time and piping hot. So efficient. I cannot recommend this adorable little pub highly enough. A real gem *

Fabulous posh pub with amazing food and great atmosphere. Service was superb, food and drinks excellent. It was like a posh country pub in the middle of london. Will return, highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyXmas lunch
The food was great and really generous portions. For me what let it down was the waiting staff had very little knowledge of the drinks menu, the friend I was with actually went to the bar herself to make sure she got the drink she wanted. They had no personality or engagement with customers, we sat with empty glasses for a while before it was noticed and I felt they would have been better off kept behind the bar. We were seated downstairs which was fine but the chairs were wooden and very uncomfortable and as the floor was tiled the chair kept slipping back I had to keep pulling myself in to the table. It’s not cheap which I was aware of and it was a Xmas treat with a friend but for the pice I felt these 2 things let it down
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant country pub in the middle of Chelsea with incredible food
One of the most charming pubs in London with incredible food. Has the vibe of a proper country pub, then you walk into a beautiful conservatory for dinner. Really exceptional food.
Be the first to ReplyRelaxing evening with friends
Perfect old world pub at the front of building, friendly staff. Ate in the restaurant .table no3.snuggle corner booth.ideal for four. people, food was outstanding. Only down side I was left cross eyed and cocker-a-hoop at the 12.5% service charge added to the total bill including drinks..definitely will be returning had a magical evening.
Be the first to ReplyWell worth going out of your way for
What at first glance appears to be just a small pub tucked away in a side street opens has a restaurant in a conservatory area at the back. It is definitely pricy, so the restaurant had a lot to live up to, but they definitely more than delivered. It would have been easy to have gone the route of minimal poetions for maximum prices but we were very pleased to find both quantity and quality. The burger was one of the best I've ever had, very meaty and loaded with dressing without it being overwhelming, and the number of fries was very generous - definitely not the "stick a handful in a pot" option. The roast beef and chicken were both generous and I'm assured the quality of cooking and ingredients was superb. Desserts were also very well presented and tasty. As for service, we can't fault it. Everyone who saw to us was pleasant and gave good customer service despite the presumably high-intensity demands of the job. I have to particularly single out Jura for being very friendly and welcoming, not to mention lovely when mt parents informed her that it was their 57th anniversary. One word of warning, be sure to book in advance. We originally intended to book on two days in advance for a 2 PM slot on the Sunday but only 6 PM was available. As it happens this turned out better for us as the ambience was great in the evening but it's something to take into account if you are determined to get a particular time of day. Overall, a visit here is highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience on a busy Sunday
We were here on a very busy Sunday, and all of us agreed it was one of the best roasts we’ve ever had. They were a bit late seating us because of an overrunning previous table, but we didn’t mind! We all had roasts and shared some bar snacks which were all lovely. Desserts were really tasty too! Only slight negative is the service felt a little chaotic at times, but totally appreciate it was busy and they were doing the best they could! Will definitely be back to this lovely pub

Be the first to ReplyGreatest Sunday Lunch
One of the best Sunday lunches ever. Totally charming small pub , real fires, charming. Had the chicken for two accompanied by excellent roast potatoes, as good as my own cooked at home. A superb celeriac purée , delicious stuffing. And then dessert, which was the best. Millefeuille with lemon and blackberry. Friends had the day when chocolate mousse which was to die for. Cannot recommend this amazing place too much!
Be the first to ReplyQuaint setting, excellent food and service
Popped in on our first night in London and were not disappointed. Quaint decor, staff were friendly and accommodating. The beer and food were very good. We had the fish and chips and cod with white wine sauce that were both excellent. A little on the expensive side but worth it.

Be the first to ReplyThankfully improved after the rude welcome
We arrived for a friends birthday event and were greeted with quite possibly one of the rudest people ever. A tall young man who needs lessons in hospitality who tried to argue telling me I had the wrong name for my best friend who had arranged his party here, lose the attitude! Once inside lovely bar, lovely girl serving us in the private space which is lovely, great atmosphere and nice food. Sort the rude guy downstairs and we might be back
Be the first to ReplyMy favourite restaurant in London
I have visited the Fox and Pheasant many times and it never disappoints. This is easily my favourite restaurant in London, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, the food is fabulous and the service is top notch. I’ve also used the private dining room and really recommend for any event, it was a lovely evening and the staff were fabulous.

Amazing fish & chips along with gazpacho. Really nice pub with a cute semi outdoor seating area. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I hate writing a bad review for anywhere, and I am sure our experience was because it was December. However I booked a table for lunch to take my husband for his birthday. He loves pubs and pub food. We are probably older than the normal clientele for the Fox and Pheasant so when I saw our table in the middle of the very small room I asked if we could swap it for one on the edge so that we could hear each other. I was promptly told “NO”. We sat at our table in the middle of a mass of office parties and because I have a small appetite I asked for 2 starters instead of a main. I was told “NO” this was not possible even though my 2 starters were more expensive than a main course. This is the first time this has ever been refused to me anywhere. The food and cooking was very good and the young waiters helpful, but I really did not like the unfriendly managing staff. They spoilt the whole lunch.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing experience
We visited Chelsea, but we are not experienced in this part of London, so walked from our hotel at the Millenium and Copthorne hotel very nearby to a very traditional and historical gastropub. On arrival we clarified our reservation for 4 people was actually now 2 and directed to our table. A very small and compact bar and dining area but a cozy atmosphere. We awaited some form of acknowledgement and offer of a drink, but nothing came. Two complimentary crab bites arrived but still no offer of a drink! Time marched on and we grabbed a passing waitress who sniled niceley but did not understand the request for Malibu, Bacardi or even the word rum. She departed without taking my order for a simple glass of Guinness. Time went by again and a waiter arrived to clarify no rum and my wife ordered a glass of house red for simplicity. He tried to depart without taking my Guiness order!!!!!! Finally drinks arrived and along with our food order. A parsnip soup priced at £9.50 was delivered and pretty MOTR served with a standard bread roll but no butter (perhaps to justify the price) My sea bream was nice but served with a very "runny mash" albeit flavoured with a herb and greens - very edible at nearly £30 My wife had the sticky toffee pudding that was served dry on the outside, boiling in the middle with no sign of toffee sauce, agzin at nearly a tenner was disappointing. The entire experience without a single checkback. The next night we ate in the hotel followed by Gordon Ramseys new offer at Battersea Power Station. Its a pub that serves expensive food but does not stock rum.....
Be the first to ReplyBad lunch
Having visited this restaurant for celebratory lunch recently all five of us were bitterly disappointed. 3 had Christmas dinner whose plates were overloaded with Ill cooked food. The salmon was over cooked but the broccoli which accompanied it was undercooked. I had turkey, ham hock and leek pie, when I eventually cut the pastry I found one piece of hock and nothing else, everybody’s sprout were ‘yellow’, the splog of mash on my plate together with the carrots looked as if they had been lying around. Turnips were inedible, we couldn’t get our fork into them let alone our teeth!! At £18.99 this is not an experience to be repeated.
