Very good service.
Lobster roll was very good. I liked the bread too. The only thing I would add next time is maybe a little melted butter. The tables outside are cute and pretty flowers are lining outdoor dining space. A very casual spot to go and splurge on something delicious.

Coming from the east coast, I was not expecting much, but this place is legit. Lobster roll and clam chowder are as good as you'd get in Boston or Martha's Vineyard. Lobster roll was perfect: the right kind of bread, buttered and grilled just right, plentiful amount of lobster, the right dressing on the lobster, just a touch of mayo, but mostly just lemon juice and butter. 11 out of 10. Clam chowder was delicate, creamy, and delicious. We also tried their chili and Cioppino, both were outstanding. It's a casual place, food was ready very fast, great personable service too. Thank you, Dan, we will be back to try other things on the menu soon. Tetyana and Rick.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious.
If you like lobster the food here is paradise, loaded with lobster. The sandwich was delicious. Lobster bisque was a bit sweet for me but still very good. I would go here more often except the price is a bit high. But then again it's lobster. When I feel like splurging a bit, this is a great spot. Sort of hidden off the Main Street but man the food is yummy!
Be the first to ReplyJust ok but super expensive.
Ordered each of the rolls. No Maine lobster that we can tell.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my first time to order food to go from this place.
I ordered the food from their online menu. When I brought the food home I was very disappointed to see the quality and portions of the food. They looked nothing like the pictured on their menu i had ordered their trio for 2 people and 4 side order that comes with it. I was surprised that lobster, crab and shrimp were all cold wrapped in a slice of toasted bread. We were hungry but could only eat half the sandwich because they didn't look or taste good. Side orders were a joke about couple of ounces. I paid over $70 for 3 cold sandwiched which I thought was expensive. This was the first and last time I will order food from them. I usually don't write reviews but i just couldn't help not to write this one.

Drove over an hour to try this gem of a spot and was not disappointed!! You can't beat the service or the food!!! Will definitely be back and soon
Be the first to ReplyA good concept not well executed.
Servings are small for the price When I order hot food I expect it to be hot. Surrounding warm lobster in an ice cold roll makes the lobster cold and unpalatable. Customers should not be charged for 2 sides that they don't even want that are too strong in flavor( Bleu cheese Cole slaw)A nice green salad would have been a better choice and they have the ingredients but they offer only green salad if you order an overpriced separate salad ) The other choices were beans or chips or soda pop. For $30???? Was excited to see a lobster restaurant open in Laguna Niguel, but tried here twice and decided to forego any further visits.
Be the first to ReplyJust to be fair.
..was my first time to this business & we only tried one meal. That being said....we tried the Lobster Roll with Bleu Cheese Coleslaw for $29.99.....our sandwich looked nothing at all like the pictures...less than 3 tablespoons of very bland lobster with nothing else on a 4in very small roll (far smaller than an Egg McMuffin ) . The side dish was a 2 oz cup of coleslaw and a Coke for $29.99!!!!! First time I've truly been angry about the value vs cost of a meal. There chowders and soups were normal prices and may be far better than the lobster roll....but this dish was absolutely not worth even 1/2 the price in quantity or flavor. Help seemed very very nice and I really hate giving a bad review but I'd feel guilty if I didn't share this one.

Portion size too small, price too high, place has no ambiance to be paying that much! Won't come back. Guy working is nice and seems to be hard working but owner needs to lower his lobster roll price, include the salad and pasta in his sides if he wants to stay in business.
Be the first to ReplyThe lobster roll and clam chowder is the best in So Cal.
Nice casual atmosphere with super good and fresh food. The counter person will vey polite and helpful. After our meal the owner stopped by and said hi and asked about our meal. I told him I shouldn't have tried the baked beans and went with clam chowder. Two minutes later he dropped off the clam chowder and it is great. An absolute must to go to.

Great service and even better lobster roll! We ordered the trio that came with four sides and clam chowder. It was well worth it. Dan was extremely attentive. The outside seating perfectly accommodated us and our dog. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyWe found this place on Yelp.
All the reviews are accurate. The owner Dan is so warm and welcoming. We had the lobster and crab rolls with a side of lobster bisque and clam chowder. The food was excellent! So much flavor in the soups. We will definitely come back.

Oh. My. Food. Goodness. How is this so tasty? And the guy is just as funny nice and welcoming as all the other reviewers have stated?Just come here and eat the lobster roll and try not to bankrupt yourself by returning every single day.

Only 3 tables and it gets crowded, but because it's so good! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The food was great and the owner, Dan, was super friendly and engaging. We got the trio so we got to try the lobster roll, the crab roll, and the shrimp roll. All three were very good, but the standout for me was the lobster roll. It was meaty and perfectly cooked. They also had baked beans (ask Dan about the secret ingredient) and a blue cheese coleslaw that was a little on the heavy/savory side for my personal taste (but still good). They also brought us out a sample of the lobster bisque to try and a little saltwater taffy and both were excellent. While you're there, make sure to check out the Tardis and Dalek across the parking lot, and if you head out the northeast entrance of the shopping center, look up for a dinosaurtastic surprise!
Be the first to ReplyThis place was so great that I had to go back the very next
This place was so great that I had to go back the very next day while on vacation. I lived in Boston for four years and this is the real deal. Some places try to get fancy by adding celery and other random things but they kept it true to a real lobster roll. I can't wait to go back this weekend. My husband said that the crabcakes were the best he ever had. The clam chowder was legit. Most importantly, the owner was awesome. He was there both days I went and it was clear that he took pride in his product.

Dan the owner is such a nice man!

Be the first to ReplyWow! Just wow! My husband and I went to this establishment
Wow! Just wow! My husband and I went to this establishment for the first time tonight. After reading all the wonderful reviews we wondered as locals why we've never heard of it..anyway we get there and there's no seating inside and it's cold...really cold so we ask the gal working if she can turn on the propane heaters and she said I think they're STILL out of propane... so my husband checks and sure enough...no heat. I order the soup flight and crab cakes...my husband orders the clam chowder and crab cakes..omg it was horrible. First we're standing inside and hear the microwave beeping so my husband goes outside and peeks in the window and she is spooning out the soup from a large plastic tub into a styrofoam cup and heating in the microwave. Can styrofoam even be microwaved safely???? Wtf!!! Then she opens up a package of what could only be the crab cakes (they were the size of a quarter) and put them in the microwave...packages up our $60 dinner and we go eat it in the car...the lobster bisque was disgusting, the cioppino was equally bad and the chowder was just ok. The crab cakes were mush! We both spit them out and dumped our dinner in the trash and went somewhere else. I am floored that over 400 people conjured up 4.5 f'n stars for this place. Are you all friends and family of these people? I'm at a loss here...seriously someone explain this to me! I don't blame the girl working there, this disaster is not her fault!

My wife was feeling in the seafood mood this evening and wanted to go somewhere low key. She searched Yelp and found this place, it had some great reviews so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived the girl at the counter was pleasant and courteous. We ordered two orders of soup and two orders of crap cakes, she asked if it was for here or togo, we wanted to sit at the picnic table relax and eat but she told us that none of the three heaters had any propane, then for this order, (2 soups, 2 crab cakes $58 and change, but we thought for good seafood it would be worth the price. Standing outside waiting for our food I looked in the window and watched the girl ladle our soups out of an open 5 gallon bucket and put it in the microwave, then she did the same with the crab cakes ( which were the size of a mushroom), she took them out of a package and microwaved them. WTF? We got our food and went to our car to eat it (so pissed off eating in our car) The clam chowder wasn't too bad but it also wasn't too good and the lobster bisque was inedible. We each took a bite of one of our mushroom size crab cakes and both of us spit them back onto the paper tray they were served to us in. We took all the food, put it back in the bag and walked to the trash can. Ended up at Active Culture to have our dinner.
Be the first to ReplyThis must be an Orange County thing because not only do
This must be an Orange County thing because not only do they give you the smallest amount of lobster but there is always shell. It also tastes way too salty. Not worth the money at all. You're better off getting a recipe off Pinterest. I feel like the good reviews are from older people and those who aren't used to flavorful food, which goes beyond on brand of seasoning. I gave it a chance even after reading the bad reviews as sometimes people are just angry, but the negative reviews are most certainly correct.
