Love this place! Fun, delicious food, great atmosphere and right in the heat of the theater district. Will be back for sure.

Firstly my date and I had to seat ourselves and we didn't even know we had to order food from the bar. Besides that, the bartender was very rude and watered my drink down. Do NOT bother with this little underground shack.
Be the first to ReplyWe had such a blast at this fun Irish bar near Times Square.
We sat at the bar and the bartender, Tori, was AMAZING. She was so fun to talk to, provided us recommendations on other places to go, things to try, and made sure to keep our drinks refilled. If you're looking for a spacious, exciting bar with a unique atmosphere, you definitely need to stop in here (and ask if Tori is working)!

Not certain I want call it an Irish Pub, but a great place for a Guinness with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service and an extensive food menu.

Better late than never, right? Came in in February with a friend for an early Valentine's Day Brunch, for unlimited drinks and some good eats. This spot came up on IG for us both, and wanted to check it out. We enjoyed ourselves the $30 brunch special, where it's $30 per person, for unlimited drinks, and it also came with one shot. The restaurant was filled with groups of girls enjoying themselves, definitely filled more on the younger side. Food was pretty good, almost even too good (couldn't stop eating it, and then felt bloated leaving, but worth it). Tried all the different drinks options that were available for the unlimited deal, and definitely can tell they were all watered down (not that I blame the restaurant, decreases the risk of clean up, for people who overdo the drinking during brunch). Regardless, the glass was never empty, both water wise and drink wise. There was never just one waitress taking care of us, it rotated between all the servers there were there; I'm guessing that if they could check on a table, they did. Will probably stop in on Saturday, before I go for my broadway show, to see how decorate it is for St. Patrick's day.

A fun pub tucked right into the heart of Times Square -- stopped by before seeing Book of Mormon for a quick drink and snack! They were able to get things out fairly quickly since we had a hard stop before walking over to the theater, which was close by. We were able to get seated right away on a weekday afternoon, but the bar was still busy. They had all the classic bar foods and we snagged some Mozzarella Sticks and Buffalo Cauliflower -- the cauliflower was SO crispy and the dipping sauces for both were delicious. They had High Noons, including all of my favorite flavors! The waiters were attentive and helpful, would recommend if in the area!

My boyfriend and I came here before The Lion King on Broadway and we loved it so much we had to come back before seeing The Book of Mormon. The manager Ashley is so friendly and nice, she gave us free green tea shots. The food is amazing too!! We'll be back again!
Be the first to ReplyDoesn't let tourist in.
Locals only with very rude doorman. Try "don't tell mama" down the street for an amazing time. This place looked like a basic bar anyway

I tried to go in the first time by my self cause I was going to meet my friends there, so I decide to go in a have a beer wile I wait for them, and I always go there and drink, but the bouncer told me tonight it's not single man allowed you have to be with someone, and I said but I'm meeting my friends here and also I come here all the time, he told me I don't care, so I was respectful and I went to the speakeasy they have downstairs, so I had couple beers and then when my friends arrived we went upstairs, he was so disrespectful and didn't let me in, he said you guys are not together, cause they were irish and I was not, he even asked them my name, one of them didn't know my name, but the other one did, so he said oh she doesn't know your name, and I said well my friend knows it and she gave it to you, so I don't understand, why are you been so disrespectful, I didn't do anything, and the gentleman at the door said I don't care you are not coming in you are trying to sneak in, I was what!??Cause I tried to come in 30 minutes ago for a beer, but I respectfully waited for them downstairs, and now I'm back with my friends??I was so confused, but the bottom line it's that he didn't let me in and I didn't make a problem or anything I just left but that's so disrespectful and not professional! It was Sunday night and the gentleman at the door was an African American older man with grey hair and really disrespectful and unprofessional, just because we weren't the same nationality my friends and I he didn't let me in!!Excuse me this is NY MR bouncer!!
Be the first to ReplyHad such a great time here.
I found it on tik tok and had to check it out in person. Their bottomless deals are good and will get you tipsy. Our waitress was very kind and patient with us. Checked in on the app and I got 2 free shots woohoo!

I came here on a late Saturday night and saw that people were dancing. I had always wanted to find a dancing bar in New York, which is rare and hard to come by, and finally found one! They played a mix of pop and dance music which was fun. There was plenty of space which I liked as it wasn't too crowded but still enjoyable. Would definitely come again.

Love this restaurant - I went to see a Broadway show about the six wives of Henry the eighth and after that we went to grab a drink. Service was amazing and so are the waiters. They even let us do a shot at the end which we didn't even expect. I love the pumpkin beer and I even learned that if you buy a meal you get 90 minutes of certain drinks for free like draft beer, which is great for me! I would love to come back here another time and spend a few hours. If you're watching a Broadway play or in the area, I highly recommend their food and drinks. The draft beer selection is awesome and so is the service.

My friends and I got lunch and added the option for bottomless drinks for an additional $25. The food was okay but the drinks were in small portions and very watered down. They had different drinks included for the bottomless but it was an additional $10 for cocktails outside of that list. Some of the drinks included a lucky charms mimosa, frozen and regular margaritas and popsicle Prosecco, pistachio shots. The service was fast. You only have 90 min for bottomless so they really try to get you out of there. The food came out in about 10 min after we ordered and the waitress frequently checked on us. Ambiance is very young, loud, and musky. Feels like someone who's in college would go. Music is good. But often too loud for conversations. The smell was like An old frat house.
Be the first to ReplyFun spot in the theater district.
I was here late night after going to theater play. Place had a full bar with not much seating around it. There were several tables for small or large groups available. I didn't see anybody there for RSVP of tables. DJ playing all kinds of dance music from every era which was cool. Diverse NYC crowd with tourists sprinkled in as well. Not overcrowded but steady flow of people. No cover. Bartenders were fast to serve you. Drinks were good. Nice selection of beers. Very convenient location for theater goers.
Be the first to ReplyI've gone to this bar several times when I used to work for
I've gone to this bar several times when I used to work for a hotel in the area back in 2006-2008. On Thursday, Feb 16th. I decided to pay them a visit since it's been YEARS since I visited their establishment and I also follow them on instagram. They've always promoted great deals regarding their food and drinks. Needless to say that I was TRULY disappointed of the service I received. I wanted to check out this location for a future event I'm looking to hold with a few of my colleagues. Upon my arrival the hosts seemed friendly. I requested a table (I did not have a reservation) and she advised me she had a table available. My colleague and myself sat at the table and waited for the waitress to approach us. She walked by several times. Spoke with the gentleman sitting at another table next to us. We waited for 15-20 mins for her to finally acknowledge us and ask us for our order. We told her what we wanted and she told us they had a strict 90 min seating time. Since someone in our party hadn't arrived yet, we decided to sit at the bar until we were able to complete our party. While sitting at the bar, the bartender took our order. Gave us our drinks and we were ignored for the whole hour we were sitting there. She would talk to the gentleman sitting next to us but never walked over to ask us if we were ok, if we wanted another round .... Nothing! When our party arrived, I went back to the host to inquire about getting a table again. She said "No" and stated there were no tables available for us. She didn't apologize or offer an alternative. Unbeknownst to me that reservations are a REQUIREMENT in order to partake in the 90 min "brunch" although they promote "walk-ins" are available. Me and my colleagues decided it was best to go to another establishment in the area that would be more interested in our business. Since the bartender ghosted us for majority of the time and never came back to check on is, it was challenging to get her attention. It took my colleague to literally walk up to her BEHIND the bar to get her attention and she responded to my colleague with an attitude as if though it was burden for her to be attentive and pat close attention to her customers and allow me to close my tab. I am disgusted with the lack of customer service I received. If a reservation is preferred or required for the 90 min brunch it should be clearly advertised as such. The staff should learn what customer service means. The little things go a long way. Paying exclusive attention to male customers is discriminatory, women tip and are paying customers as well. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Great bar, and the seasonal Valentine's Day drinks were spectacular! The vibe and soundtrack was on point, and our bartender was wonderful. I really could've drank hundreds of the cupids kiss drink!

As a New Yorker, you tend to stray as far away from #timessquare as possible but the @themeanfiddler draws me back into the crowds of tourist. The Mean Fiddler is the place to go if you want to have a great time any time of the day. With their bottomless options pretty much all day into the night, any day of the week! It's guaranteed to be great time with the ones around you. The eats are good as well as the menu is endless and definitely be shareable with your party. We definitely recommend the mean fiddler for a great time of eats ..
Be the first to ReplyGiving this place a 2.
5 out of five. Came here in the summertime for their bottomless brunch deal (party of four). It's much worth it to pay the additional 20for better liquor, instead of the house liquor that is part of the bottomless deal. Overall the food is good/decent but when you do the regular cocktails off menu I feel as though they are subpar. I guess I will have to blame the amateur brunch colors for this. Came a second time with the intention of Inviting three additional friends for drinks. While waiting I had two cocktails at $16 each on an empty stomach and I can do perfect cartwheels down the road and one line. With that being said I told my people to meet me at a different bar nearby. .This bar is best for crowds drinking beer for the dive bar ambience. Or even late night mid barhopping. Can't see myself spending $15-$18 for a drink that's not near well-made

The Instagram pics are def alluring! Those 2x2 flics will have one feigning to get to the next big thing.I am guilty. IG pics brought me here. The website did too, they do a great job advertising this place. I pressed him that we oughta hit this spot up.Now... as for live and in person...The atmosphere- when you walk in, you get dive/ pub feels. Smell of beer from the days of yore, lol! An NYC norm, so I'm not trippin' off of that. Busy setting and decor but there has to be a decent sized crowd to fully appreciate the space. The grub- Gastropub hits, I liked the nacho fusion plate. The guac was even good. I usual toss guac to the side on sight but decided to give this a try and yeah, it was cool. The Fish Tacos- ehhhh, the fish was minced like tuna and I may be a lil concern with what type of fish it was. The shredded cabbage... I struggle w/ this cabbage on tacos thing but I made it thru as the crunchy texture off-set the ?fish? The BBQ Chicken Sammich and Fries- he said it was goodThe unlimited drinks offer didn't include anything we like, so we got our own mixes. We had one that was 98% juice yet when we got our waitress' attention, she looked out.The staff were friendly, and offered us info on the best days to come. We'll give it another try, hopefully a busier night when the live DJ is on. And we'll hit the speakeasy up.
Be the first to ReplyAt the start of the reservation the vibes were great.
Excellent music, service and then it took a bit of a dip . I ordered my smashed hamburger grilled cheese , and it was fabulous . Then my friend ordered chicken and waffles and was brought chicken sliders , and the waitress had a "tude" instead of just swapping it out . Then came the time to pay the bill , and well it made things sour at the end . The manager was able to troubleshoot the the issues on the bill . Not sure if I would pop back in .
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the hype.
The Instagram makes everything much more tasty. The drinks were warm and the food is basic. The bottomless brunch is fine but they are strict about the 90 min max.
Be the first to ReplyIt's about time I found the time to write about this really
It's about time I found the time to write about this really fun spot! I went there on a girls night date with my homegirl Akiria and we had a damn blast! Oh and those bottomless drinks goes crazy! Get it. The drinks weren't watered down and had a cute little hit after you sipped! The pricing was around 25 for that unlimited drink deal. It was sooooo worth it. Let's get into the food! Oh how I was WOWED!!!! I chose the loaded fries (curly ones!) If you know me you know I love me some curly fries! It also had the guacamole and tomatoes and onions and sour cream and etc. However I did add chicken which may have been an extra 6 or 7 dollars. You don't have to but I like meat in my loaded fries! Lol. That food was so seasonedddddd and just melted in my mouth. The flavors were so well together and was just cooked to perfection. And from what I remember this was only around 15-17 dollars. And the plate was huge. I'm a foodie Forreal. So I usually finish my food. I literally took some home. Rewind that back - I took some home! They're plate portions are super good for the price. The customer service...PAY ATTENTION. This is important. It was very crowded when walking in the place. There was even a small line outside. We were checked for ID by security and did speak with a host about how many of us was there and what table we would like. We got a great table with a really good view of everything. After we finished one of the hosts even took some pictures for us! Customer service can make or break you believe it or not. Job well done mean fiddler! That service was chefs kiss! Overall I enjoyed myself sooooo much. From the music to the overall vibe of the atmosphere is what really did it for me besides the drinks and the food. 100/10. Go go go! Y'all can thank me later! When I figure out how to upload the videos of the food and drinks I'll come back and update it.
