Charming and beautiful hotel with exceptional service.
beautiful hotel in historic building, trendy cool interior, very quiet rooms, beautiful artwork throughout the hotel, charming library, very attentive service. Excellent location in the center of London. A rare and wonderful experience!
Be the first to ReplyExpensive but Gorgeous Hotel
While this NoMad is pricey we felt like we had the experience we paid for and the value was fair. The standard room was spacious and uniquely decorated and the larger hotel is gorgeous and has so many nooks and corners to explore. We loved the cocktails at the Mexican restaurant and bar and had a good breakfast in the beautiful larger dining room. The location is walkable though in a very touristy area. Oddly, valet did not help with bags or direct us when we arrived until prompted - maybe they get a lot of dining-only guests? All in we would stay again if coming back to central London, especially since it is kind of the last NoMad standing.

I read about Nomad here and told my travel agent to book me at this hotel. Thank you trip advisor reviewers! It was a perfect stay! Good food. Ate breakfast every day. Also ordered room service which brought the food to me in a timely manner and tasting hot and fresh. Great location in the center of the theater district. Quiet, clean and attractive rooms with pleasant views. Attentive housekeeping. Fun and helpful front desk and concierge. Nice public spaces to meet with people. Great drinks including sophisticated mocktails. Really a fantastic hotel that I look forward to staying at again!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful hotel. Our favourite in London.
It's such a great experience staying at NoMad. All the staff are always professional and friendly. They are obviously very well trained, but there's no sign of 'corporate' training at all - just genuine and pleasent. The rooms are lovely, the library is a great place for drinks and snacks and the kitchen knows what it's doing for breakfast and dinner! We've come here for a couple of special occasions now, and it's been the perfect choice. Also, if you're visiting the opera, the journey back to the hotel is very welcome indeed!
Be the first to ReplyFourth time was not the charm.
This was the 4th visit of mine to Nomad London, and something of a disappointment. I've had some wonderful stays at Nomad, and have enjoyed every aspect of the stay. Not so on this occasion. On arrival at Nomad in the pouring rain, no one was at the door to open or help with bags. This seems to be the case 50% of the time now. Check-in was perfunctory, no eye contact no friendly chat, and I had to ring down once in the room to clarify my room package and receive the cocktail voucher and champagne. No oat milk as requested was in the fridge and only one size of slippers in the room. All was rectified quickly, but should have been in place at check-in. Breakfast service was very slow both days. 30 minutes for the main food on Friday and 35 the second morning. My soft boiled eggs on Friday were hard and brought with the wrong bread. I changed to poached and these came only 10 minutes later but again with the wrong. Read. I just ate it this time as I couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer. The breakfast room Manager ( I think that was his title) did come and apologise, acknowledging food service is an issue. He did say he would speak to reception about an adjustment to our bill, but this didn't seem to happen. I also noticed staff just weren't as friendly and chatty as on previous occasions. They were stony-faced and brusque. It's such a shame our stay was spoiled by the above, and that such a lovely hotel is experiencing these issues. It will be a while, if ever before I return. For prices like these I expect better

I thought I’d treat myself to this hotel and see how it compared to others in a similar price range. I stayed 6 nights and the service was abysmal. There was no sense of welcome in the place and apart from concierge/door staff the breakfast staff seemed singularly uninterested in their work. Every morning I attempted to order the simple breakfast I preferred, and initially was told when different versions arrived, that “that’s how the chef has it prepared.” ! On the third morning I asked to speak to the manager as my request was ridiculously simple, yet still I couldn’t get what I ordered . And I ALWAYS had to ask for sugar, mostly had to ask for butter, and when I dared ask for a butter plate so I could spread the toast that was heaped on my breakfast, I was told that they aren’t usually provided. So it would appear I could use the tabletop or my hand. Never was I offered a second cup of coffee as staff studiously avoided bothering with service. In fact I heard others complain around me at the poor service. I began to suspect that the shortcomings were deliberate ways to save money. When I booked a table in the lovely Library to have a drink and nibble one afternoon, I was told after an hour and a half that I would have to surrender it as it “was booked”. Yet there were two empty tables right beside me. As I was about to tackle that, the receptionist returned to say it was OK I could stay there. All in all, this is a hotel that charges as if it is offering superior service and it utterly failed. It was overpriced, unfriendly, slapdash and inept. With NoMad New York now closed, I can only wonder if NoMad London will be far behind,
Be the first to ReplyYou have optionsfor 5 star hotels in London, after trying the Nomad twice you should look for alternatives
Second stay here and it is time for a review. First the good. The building is beautiful. The housekeeping staff is super friendly and they did a great job. The food in both the restaurant and Side Hustle is very good. Now the bad. The restaurant service is abyssmal. We waited more the 50 minutes for two bloody marys and a hot chocolate. I asked for the check from 3 different people 4 times. They have one person on a Sunday afternoon tending bar with a completely full restaurant. It doesn’t work. Side Hustle is an awesome space. Although they try and accommodate hotel guests on a Sunday they appear to be way more accommodating of the current and former staff of the hotel. More than half the bar had some kind of relationship with the bar staff. One guy behind the bar was spending more time doing shots than making drinks. I get its Christmas but when people are waiting for drinks it is just not cool. Now for the worst. We were on New York time, in London, on a weekend. So we were not returning to the hotel to go to bed at 10pm. Both Friday and Saturday when we returned to the hotel the door was locked. There was a sign saying to ring the bell. On Friday we rang the bell, a man appeared, opened the door and apologized that the door was locked “for security reasons”. Annoying but it was fine. Saturday was a different story. I pressed the button eight times, then had to bang on the glass. Afte a few minutes we were able to wake someone to come and open the door. I felt like I was at my mother’s house, complete with her displeasure at me arriving home so late. I needed a new room key and although we did not say much to each other our distaste for each was clear and resulted in a glaring match. At Bar at One around the corner i would not think twice of this kind of interaction with security. At a 5 stat hotel this was the first time I had ever had any type of interaction like this. I assume the gentleman was over worked and clearly had been asleep but how does a 5 star hotel maintain its rating when returning to the hotel was like trying to get into a hostel in Colombia. Clearly there are some significant staffing or management issues here. During the day there are up to 4 people in addition to the reception staff wandering around the front door area. At night its one guy trying not to fall asleep. It was our second and last chance for this property.

Five of us visited the bar. We waited 25 minutes for our cocktails. The ‘head’ waitress appeared very snooty, nose in the air type. On asking where our drinks were she informed us they didn’t have ingredients available for one of the cocktails. I don’t think we would have been informed if we hadn’t have asked. When the cocktails were served there was no apology for the wait. Considering how much this place charges we would have expected a lot better. We will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing Service. Wont be visiting again.
Friday lunch booked with a business friend who was also celebrating a birthday. Food was good, but the level of service mixed. Firstly shout out to the excellent Selma who was our main waitress - but we were served by no less than 6 people who clearly never communicated to each other! Being asked 4X if we were ready to order when we had asked for same time was irritating - and this happened repeatedly throughout our lunch. My "Poor" rating is due to 2 service issues. 1. We ordered a bottle of wine, but were offered an alternative as the one we wanted was unavailable. The Sommelier described how the replacement wine was a similar grape, taste and region. When I asked if it was the same price I was told that "it was a similar price". When I asked if this was similar higher or similar lower, instead of telling me the price she replied "similar higher". Finally diplomatically pressing for the price I was told it was 20% more expensive. We suggested they might offer the wine at the same price, but were politely told no. I wasn't prepared to make a scene in front of my guest. 2. Neither of us wanted a dessert, but as it was my guests birthday, the lovely Selma suggested that she would bring a small chocolate, on the house. Small dessert with a candle duly arrived - lovely touch. Paying the bill later - with our 7th server of the day no less! (not the excellent Selma), I failed to notice that we had actually been charged £14 for the tiny chocolate & the candle! Yes I accept my mistake in not noticing the charge on my bill and given the previous lack of communication I should have foreseen this happening. It's not about the cost, it's the principle. I wont be visiting the NoMad again.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful hotel!
I absolutely LOVE this hotel. It is so charming and comfortable! Right from the start with check-in their team was wonderful. Once we got to our room it was so well appointed and tastefully decorated. We also had breakfast daily, which was delicious, and loved their cocktail bar as well. Every space at this hotel is fantastic and every person on their team I encountered made it even better. I am traveling to London again in a few weeks and have already booked this hotel again -- I have no desire to stay anywhere else!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in the best) Just over the road from the Royal Opera House in covent Garden it's the perfect place to stay and visit the Opera. Everything about the hotel is faultless. Amazing staff superb comfy rooms and wonderful food and service. Absolutely the only choice if you plan to stay in London

What a glorious building - well renovated and stylish. Service was 5* plus. Rooms were very well-appointed and comfortable. The library and bar are some of the nicest spaces I have every had a drink in.

Stunning. Everything about the experience was stunning. The beautiful decor and ambience of the hotel and restaurant was like being transported into another world. The food was beautiful. Everything was created to perfection and arrived in perfect time. For me what made this place amazing was the staff. The staff were so attentive, I was treated so well, for someone who dines alone this makes all the difference when the service is excellent. I dine out every night in Londons best restaurants and this is definitely up there with the best. I will definitely be back
Be the first to ReplyNomed Hotel Brunch Experience
On the 27th January I decided to try out the cafe at Nomed hotel for brunch, I must say the interior designs were very pleasing. The main reason I wanted to write a review was for the customer service. I would like to say a special big thank you to Akosh, one of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Not only was he polite, heart warming and full of positive energy he even went above beyond for us. He explained the dishes really well and even recommended us to visit the opera house. What a credit he is to your team, Akosh I just want to say that I hope you keep smiling and keep on spreading your positive energy to everyone. I will definitely come back to visit again! Thank you Akosh : )

We had the most glorious lunch on a sweltering summers day, whilst enjoying a couple of days R & R in London following our daughter's wedding. The dining space is quite stunning, with a light and airy atrium and glorious soft furnishings. The food was fabulous and the service was absolutely spot on. It was a real treat, and I immediately booked a table for my daughter and her new husband so they could enjoy it, too!

Visited for lunch which was very enjoyable. The restaurant is beautiful and was busy. Service was good as was the menu; we ate early as we were off to a matinee performance at the National and out starters included some breakfast options which was a great ‘bridge’ to mains. Cocktails were good and overall a lovely experience.
Be the first to ReplyA extreme price-worthy experience with the hotel during Christmas holidays.
The hotel offers a very attractive price and location in London, near the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Nicolas accommodated us with a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel had an amazing interior design with lavish styles, a heritage from the NoMad Hotel Group. The junior suite is lovely and comfortable, and the room services keep their usual running during the holidays. When we had trouble upon traveling, the concierge did their perfect and heart-warming job planning us a Plan B immediately, which avoided our delay. Thank you here. I had a memorable experience in this lovely hotel run by such a warm, thoughtful, and elegant service team. The burger is nice, by the way! Haha.
Be the first to ReplyLuxury, contemporary, stunning hotel in the heart of Covent Garden
From the moment you step through the beautiful doors to the Nomad, you realise this is a luxury hotel with a difference. The design and aesthetics are just stunning, and the location, in the heart of Covent Garden, is perfect. Nods to the former court and police station occur throughout the hotel in the form of the ballroom (courtroom with original doors) and police cells (now cool booths in the basement bar) The atrium (original car park) with its glass ceiling and incredible hanging lanterns is now home to the restaurant- we had brunch, which was delicious. There are 3 bars, our favourite by far was Common Decency, open to the public, with its decadent fabrics and furnishings. The room was lush- beautifully decorated and luxury touches. The staff are some of the best I’ve come across- you are constantly looked after and made welcome. We will be back- easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in!

The building is, as you can see from the photo's, beautiful. A wonderful mix of modern and classic with a grand entrance which gives you that buzz of arriving at a special hotel. The photo's can't show you how wonderful the service is - it was exactly as I hoped, completely frictionless to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Bags were taken to the room without question, checkin and valet parking as seamless as possible, drinks around the hotel charged to the room without any fuss. When the odd wrinkle occured, that was completely unavoidable, the staff ensured they made it completely their problem rather than mine. The library area cocktails are fantastic. We had a great raucous night in the attached bar on Friday. Wonderful sleep in huge beds. Excellent breakfasts. Can't wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyGreat stay at the Nomad
Booked the Nomad last minute for a stay in London. Choose the hotel because they allowed you to stay with dogs. Wow what a wonderful hotel. The hotel is beautiful, a haven in the city and the staff are amazing. They made both us and our dog "truffle" very welcome (he loved is bone biscuits) and went out of the way to make it a great experience. The staff in the library made us cocktails not on the menu, which were perfect. We look forward to returning.

We stayed for 4 days and it was amazing! In particular the concierge Tommy was one of the best people I have ever worked with. He was so attentive and went out of his way to help us during our stay. I cannot say enough about him and how extraordinary he was. The hotel is lucky to have him.

I had the pleasure of staying for four days early in July with my daughter. The hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance from many of the best attractions the city has to offer. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, with interesting nooks and delightful surprises. Our room was on the small side but very comfortable. Quiet, cool with luxurious linens and lots of nice extras. I particularly liked the hairstyling wand in addition to the usual hairdryer. London has been particularly hot this summer and this hotel was a glorious retreat from the heat. The library bar offered yummy nibbles in addition to wonderful cocktails, and mock tails for those inclined. The staff were helpful and entertaining! I don’t know when I will return to this fabulous city, but when I do I know where I will stay.

Whilst the food was generally ok, the service was disappointing and the bill came as a shock. Table for 7:45, yet still wasn’t ready when checked at 8:15. Whilst this wasn’t a bother for us, it started an evening of constantly having to ask and chase for stuff. Maybe staff numbers affected currently, but felt more like we’re forgotten. My issues: Asking for a wine list (twice) but not ever seeing it, then suggested a rose on requesting a Provence, that turned out to be £80- is wrong!! Not even seen a Whispering Angel for that price in a restaurant. That price point should be mentioned on selection (actually just give me the list I asked for) and it is more seen for a decent red, not a rose, hence why didn’t question it on ordering. Given the price it’s a good job they kept the wine in a trough away from the table and had our glasses empty so often as would have ordered a second had we been pouring! If service is a struggle, don’t make it more difficult by adding wine pouring as an unnecessary extra task. We all ordered fish as not big on the meat choices. Was pretty nice and done well, however it was £30 for pollock. Whilst I like restaurants opting for more sustainable and readily available dishes, that price tag usually aligns with the likes of a Dover Sole, so taking the mickey really. My friends ordered sides of rosti potatoes with theirs (so the dish even at £30 may not satisfy a decent appetite) however that was disappointingly dry and hard. Desserts didn’t blow people away and when it came to paying the £399 for 3 people (two courses, pre dinner drinks, one bottle wine) the service charge was queried and even the staff said they felt we were right to have that part removed. Nice venue, but do feel intentionally mislead and saddened by it. May only want people frequenting the venue who have money and no sense to question….

Was really looking forward to our meal here. Very limited vegan options. Inability to be flexible on options offered means this really isn't a suitable or welcoming place for vegan diners, and their parties. What a disappointment!
