The Palm - Miami Reviews from The Last Year
Save the best for last!!!
We decided to stay in the Miami area after we finished a Nursing Conference on a Cruise, which was amazing. But the real highlight of our trip was the way we finished out time in Miami. We had a very relaxing and pampered time at the Palms. We will be back for sure next year!
An International-Level Hotel, in Miami!
The Palms feels like a Mexican or Caribbean resort - without the travel! The grounds feel like you've travelled far from the hustle of Miami while the staff make sure that nothing isn't exceptional. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, while the rest of the building: gym, pool, bar, restaurant, and lobby all are constantly being cleaned and staffed by happy and helpful staff. I am relieved that we decided to go to Miami and The Palms without worrying about traveling internationally.
Quiet enclave on busy Miami Beach
Spent a few days here and would come back. Tropical setting with nice spaces to unwind. Good (MB expensive) food options. Great staff service.
Wonderful stay!!!!!
Our first time at the Palms Hotel and spa but not the last!! Our stay was wonderful. Every employee was helpful and willing to help with anything we needed. From Jasmary at the towel stand to Lester and Jaime at the beach site. They were so helpful. Our waiter Fernando even remembered I only drink almond milk with my coffee and made sure I had it before I even asked for it. The Tiki bar bartenders Tony and Mauricio were outstanding. They made sure my husband got the especially drink he asked for and made it very enjoyable when we were there! Employees like that made our stay very pleasant. We will be coming back!!!
Excellent hotel on mid beach
Excellent beach hotel in quieter mid beach. Loved - ocean front superior room with corner window allowing more view - pool with a bit of buzz from young people and children. Do not come if you are looking for a quiet spa hotel. - pool and beach service with excellent quality food. - the door men - environmental ethos - on nice stretch of beach. Did not love - the quality of the breakfast. It was not included in our room rate and this meant our breakfast was at $100 extra per night for an average breakfast. The setting is lovely on the terrace next to the garden/ pool but compared to other quality hotels the choice and quality was not quite there. Loved Miami beach. Plenty of Ubers instantly available for travel down to South beach/Ocean drive. It was a bit far to walk with children to Ocean drive in Miami heat but managed to near part of South beach for restaurants walking down the board walk in evening- a much nicer walk than along the road. It would be fine for older children/adults. Thank you to all of the staff at the hotel who were all friendly and welcoming!
Very nice and clean hotel, definitely recommended
We stayed at this hotel/resort for 7 days. The hotel is very clean and tidy, valet service runs very smoothly, as well as pool service ran smoothly. The hotel is approximately a 20 to 30 minute walk from Ocean Drive, Lincoln Avenue and Espanola Way. You can also reach the Design District and Wynwood in about 15 minutes by car. Price-quality definitely recommended.
Great spot on Miami Beach for family stay
Our family of five had a great stay at the Palms. The vibe was relaxed, the room was spacious for Miami and the pool/beach area was spot on. All the staff was pleasant and courteous. Hangout spots for the teenagers and adults to just chill in the evening. We highly recommend the Palms Miami Beach!
Oasis of Calm on Miami Beach
What a great hotel. It felt like an oasis of calm on Miami beach. We were fortunate enough to spent 10 nights there over Easter and had a lovely, relaxing time. The hotel is situated mid-beach, just far enough to escape some of the clubbier, pool party type places on South Beach. Spotlessly clean, it highlights its sustainability and green credentials, is full of plants and feels incredibly tranquil. Staff were generally great - loved Tony at the pool bar. We shared a room with our teenage kids which wasn't huge but was very comfortable. The real stand out for me was the pool area - a lush garden, good sized pool, lots of loungers, nice food and with easy access to the beach. Even though the hotel was often full, it didn't feel overcrowded. The gym was good enough. We didn't try the spa. Miami is a brilliant city - eyewateringly expensive if you are visiting from the UK but if you're a family looking for a place to stay on Miami beach, this is an excellent choice.
Great hotel and spa
Great accommodations, great location, rent citi bikes to go anywhere. It was just far enough away from the South Beach scene. Definitely more of a romantic couples or family vibe. Awesome breakfast spot on the outside patio. Had a great time!!
annas mojitos
I had a amazing stay at palms and spa me and my husband we were amazed by all the staff , specially Annaray she did an amazing job I am 56 years old and I realized that I was missing her mojitos in my life it was the best mojitos that I have ever try she's a sweet heart hard working young girl we will be definitely back .โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Disappointing Stay
Really tough weekend at the Palms. First, an elevator was broken and they said it has been out for weeks and hasnโt been fixed. It rained all weekend so they sent a lot of employees homeโฆ making the bar and restaurants understaffed during the day (breakfast was great). But when the sun finally came out in the afternoon on Saturday, no staff was there for towels, chairs, waters, or general service. The one beach employee left told us to sit in the sand (Iโm 8 months pregnant). The concierge seemed annoyed when we asked him where to get lunch. Rolled his eyes at me. Given the weather, the gym was PACKED. Equipment was old and there is no natural sunlight. Space is probably less than 800 sf. The one stretching mat has sweat/water soaked into it so when you walked on it it got wet and slippery. Not sure if this hotel gets all the high ratings when itโs sunny, but buyers beware if it rains. Really disappointing. Overall, seems to be past its prime.
No beach amenities
Paying nearly $1000/night, and the management will not allow people to use the beach chairs. It has been raining, but the sun is out to stay now. They actually are taking chairs away from people on the beach. They refuse to set them out, so someone took it upon themselves to get some out. Security came and took them away. Not a positive customer service experience. Until this the experience has been fine, but not worth the money. Almost couldnโt get dinner last night. Had to ask at least 4 times for someone to take our order.
Stay Here!! This Place is an Absolute GEM!
From start to finish, our stay at The Palms Hotel was absolutely wonderful! We booked an "Oceanfront" Room, and it was worth every penny. The view was breathtaking! The room and hotel in general was very clean and nicely appointed. The common areas, including the lobby, market/ gift shop with coffee etc, bar, restaurant, covered porch, pool area & Tiki Bar and the beach were all very clean and well serviced. One thing that really stands out is the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was eager to help, friendly, extremely courteous and you felt like they genuinely liked their employement and were happy to have you as a guest at the hotel. This place is a gem, just a tiny bit away from the very busy South Beach but also an extremely close walk or short ride. I cannot say enough good things. We will definitely be back!
Palms Hotel Corporate Booking
Wonderful stay and experience for the second year in a row! Excellent staff, beautiful property, and an intimate feel with all the amenities needed for a great corporate excursion. Will definitely recommend it to other clients!
Beautiful hotel & comfortable rooms! Best food & drinks at the hotel restaurant and bar!
Juliette happily greeted us at check in! She wished my daughter & I a happy birthday and gave us a complimentary drink card. We felt so welcome and had the most wonderful stay! The hotel smelled amazing, the food & drinks were delicious! All of the outdoor pool & beach amenities were top notch! We will most definitely be back to stay at the Palms!
Wonderful oceanfront hotel resort and spa
The resort is beautiful with a private pool in a tropical setting on the beach. The food and drink service on the beach was great. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows overlooking the resort and ocean.
More than I expected!
My husband and I spent 5 days at The Palms. The pool and beach access with attentive staff made our vacation pleasant. From check in with Manny and luggage help from Gabriel to check out and valet assistance from Jason, everyone and everything was top notch. Anna and Allesia had good suggestions and provided good service in the restaurant. We also enjoyed relaxing and special services at the Spa! I am missing the name of the friendly young woman (braids and braces) who helped us book our massages and pedicures! The well appointed, clean and spacious room was really nice! Loved the separate toilet room, comfortable bed, ceiling fan, endless ice, plenty of towels and our ocean view! We definitely hope to return. No complaints ! It was wonderful!
Elegant and updated
So, itโs a very nondescript white hotel on Collins Avenue around 30th St. Itโs right on the beach. The good great views from oceanfront room. Lush gardens. Very very updated rooms with extremely comfortable beds. What I really like is that it is peaceful and quiet, compared to the fountainebleu where we stayed for a few days before this. That place was pretty chaotic and loud. The only issue is that the room here was Minh school. Very very very very tiny. Hard to maneuver around but elegant. Food was also good about 40% less expensive than the other hotel, I mentioned. Overall pretty expensive at about six hundred per night w taxes and fees.
The amazing Palms Hotel and Spa
We had a fantastic stay at the Palms hotel and spa. Everyone was great. Especially want to thank Duan ( I'm sure i misspelled his name) his dining recommendations were great. My wife and I truly enjoyed the restaurants that he suggested. The property is stunning . Very well kept. But what makes the place truly is the staff. Thank you for making us feel at home. We will definitely be back.
Let's see where to start.
. glasses at the table were dirty the server did not give that service you would expect at this caliber of a restaurant. I was bumped into by countless customers and staff due to the area they sat us in. When I ordered my food I wanted to pair it with a lobster but was told there was no lobster available. This should have been expressed when the server went over the specials for the night also there was lobster to make the lobster ravioli and as well for the seafood towers, but none for a Saturday night. The steak we ordered one was over cooked from the temp that was asked for, the other was under cooked and cold in the center. At the end of the day I'm hoping this was not The Palms Miami best day, but for me I will not revisit I'll rather head to Orlando and eat at The Palms in the hard rock hotel in which I had countless great experiences.
So, have you ever been faced with arrogant, misogynistic
So, have you ever been faced with arrogant, misogynistic management in a restaurant? Well, if you have not, head to the Palm. We all know it is overpriced. We all know it is not what it used to be. We all know we can have a better steak dinner at a variety of restaurants in Miami. We all know how petty charges can push you over the edge. Well, Christmas eve dinner at the Palm most certainly was all that and more. 6 people. Cocktails. Steaks. Sides. More than 125 per person. When questioning the charge for a small half filled ramekin with additional chimichurri sauce for the flavorless steaks, which totaled $8. we were referrred to the menu for this hidden charge. Management would NOT extend a courtesy and remove this from our check. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the failure to disclose by waitstaff when ordered. So, The Palm, I hope that $8 makes your yearly numbers soar. Our table will not be back, over this most petty amount. I do hope others heed this warning and eat elsewhere.
The service was terrible.
Twice. I've been to many different locations of this restaurant. The food was fine but the bartender and host were far more than lack luster.I was staying at a hotel across the street with no restaurant and will never visit that palm again.
Always a pleasure to go to The Palm! This time my son got
Always a pleasure to go to The Palm! This time my son got the tomahawk steak with creamed spinach and hash browns. I got the Gigi salad and had a bite of the steak and side dishes. I love going to The Palm because the quality is fantastic and consistent.
Alas one of my favorite Miami Steakhouses has hit rock
Alas one of my favorite Miami Steakhouses has hit rock bottom. Still great people at the front, Bobby at the bar tremendous service, but times have changed. 10% occupancy on a Thursday night for a meeting with an old friend. Quick drinks at the bar before we hit the table. Don't know what to say but the place has become tired and old. Bread on the table was simply terrible, gone are the great onion rolls and crisp french bread. Prices have gone through the roof and FOOD well we will get to that. Ordering the "OLD WEDGE" which is simply lettuce a tomato. and their homemade blue cheese dressing. Dressing still fantastic but how can the lettuce and tomato be warm? Totally unacceptable. $69.00 for a NY Strip which used to be "CHARRED TO PERFECTION" is now salted and flash grilled leaving a superior piece of meat inedible. The side of mushrooms and onions were the most tasteless mess of whatever in many years. The $69.00 Veal Chop Parm was OK but the sauce was tasteless to nonexistent. Didn't even bother with coffee or deserts. As I walked out saying goodbye to Bobby at the bar, I knew this was my last time here, if they even survive much longer. So disappointed.
Went to The Palm last night for dinner last night.
My first time in Miami and I was craving steak. It was AMAZING!!!!!! The best steak I EVER HAD!!!!! The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were really good too!!! I would definitely come back here. Service was excellent too! Everyone was really nice and super attentive. If you're looking for a fancy, casual restaurant with amazing steak definitely come here!!!! You will NOT be DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a responseโฆ how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been โmatchedโ with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

How to list a Nobu Malibu reservation
Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?
