Cheerful and friendly with good food
Located in an adapted town house with one group of diners on the first floor and another on the second. Lively atmosphere. Good food - and some inventive dishes. An extra point - I contacted them by email with a request and they were very obliging. Recommend without reservation.

Tasting of local dishes in a very Irish atmosphere, impeccable service, beautiful decoration and above all, everything was delicious
Be the first to ReplyDidnโt meet expectations
Went here for a birthday dinner. I had heard good reviews, but I was underwhelmed by the food. Nothing special and I would have preferred more variety on the menu. The wine was very good. They were very keen to rush us out after the meal.

My wife and I concluded a weekโs visit to Dublin with diner at the Pigs Ear. Terrific way to finish our vacation. Great service, wonderful food - try the Venison - and the touches you expect with a Michelin star. The manager seated us at a great corner table, and the evening got better with every step.
Be the first to ReplyFood good but no check for covid cert
Food was very good but I realised after we sat down and ordered a drink that they never asked to see our covid cert. assumed it was a mistake . However looked at 3 other groups come in and no checking for certs of anyone .
Could not understand why as plenty staff and itโs a small restaurant so they had no excuse other than they donโt want to.
I wonโt be back until they start checking .
lovely restaurant , very romantic
great staff , have eaten here before and it never dissapoints.
i never knew salmon could be cooked so well
deserts were unbelievable ,
great choice of wines
Nice dining experience for a Saturday night out!
Bustling restaurant & attentive service, Somewhat disappointed with variety of main course choices the night we were there but I really enjoyed the salmon dish. However my fellow diners weren't quite as happy with the "great white pork" dish. Think paying extra for a choice of only two side dishes is unnecessary.
However, overall we were all satisfied with our meal.
Amazing dinner
We had a wonderful dinner from starter to dessert. We will certainly be back to eat there again. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyA Pigโs Ear
I donโt mind the cost (not particularly expensive, in fact), I do mind the small quantity (we are no longer in the age of NC, i donโt necessarily want to engorge myself, but I do go to a restaurant to eat - had to go to an all night burrito stand in Dublin after This Pigโs Ear). I do mind pretentious and I do mind that the veggie option was a wholly uninspires slice of courgette with a dollop of ricotta. Ughโฆ! Perhaps a sign of the post Covid attempt to reopen? Winelist ok. Side of thin sliced marinated colerabi and capers (5 Eur) was the best thing about this meal. Setting is coy and pretentious faux-plain, gives Ireland a bad, provincial reputation it certainly does not deserve. Service somewhere between gruff and fawning. Ugh.. a Pigโs Ear indeed. 3/10.

The table was booked by my colleague. On initial review of the menu I was very scepticle and unsure there would be anything that I would eat me not being the most adventurous eater in the world.. How wrong I was the food was absolutely out of this world . To call it a meal out would be doing it an injustice. It was a culinary experience beyond words . An experience I can not wait to repeat . Well done to all involved .
