The Quality Chop House London Reviews
Spectacular food and great service !
Wonderful dining experience! My son and I do quite a bit of gourmet eating when travelling and this restaurant was one of the finest we’ve been to in London
Overpriced & Nothing Special
Lunch experience for three people. Me and a few friends have a lunch club where we try out different restaurants and various cuisines. Quality Chop House in Farringdon was next on the list and sadly it was the first and last time for me unless they
Average review based on seating arrangement!
Very cramped table and uncomfortable seating for 6 of us; when the food was served there was not enough room on the table for it to be placed - we were having to serve our sides immediately in order to return the dishes to try and make more room. The
Stylish restaurant. Great meaty menu,but........ ..
The restaurant is lovely, the food is excellent and the service is a little slow. However, my most over riding memory was the prices which I found to be very high for the dining experience. £50 for a pork knuckle? Is it me?
Fabulous Sunday Roast
Fantastic Sunday Roast. Food is in the same mode as St John (quality ingredients, cooked extremely well) Service was excellent. The place was packed out by 1pm which made for a fantastic atmosphere. Next time I'm in London I'll definitely b
Make a reservation and score a great meal
We came here to experience the traditional Sunday Roast, and was it worth it. The service was friendly and helpful. He would help us understand the menu but also engaged in fun banter. You can order some additional starters, but it there is a set pri
Not so great
I was really excited for my first Sunday lunch at the Quality Chop House. I was really disappointed all around. Three of the four people in our group initially had the mussels. Half should never have been supplied because they were not open. A frien
Revolting
Absolutely disgusting experience. Food was foul. Hair in a roast potato. Service terrible. Don’t waste your money. They offered 50% off the bill which was an insult. All four diners could not eat their meals.
Enjoyable £££
Nice welcome upon arrival. Enjoyed two cocktails including a Negroni and a glass of fizz. Enjoyed the snack plate of Saddleback croquettes with mustard mayonnaise. Also ordered an appetizer of Game Terrine which was £16. Nice but expensive as
Emperor’s new clothes
A weekday evening, a catch-up, the overwhelming smell of old fat, uncomfortable chairs, a far too limited menu, a £50 (+ service) sirloin which was 1/3 fat & gristle, far too much salt & unwanted jus/gravy, unpleasant fatty/overcooked/expens
Expensive, maybe I ordered badly.
My friend ordered the set menu. He enjoyed it but wouldn’t have been satisfied without extras of bread nor potatoes. I went a la carte as I felt like fish. Both courses were lovely although I thought the piece of fish in the main was very small. I

My boyfriend and I walked in on a weekday and grabbed counter seats. Service was fantastic, and everything we ate was really good! Started with the smoked bone marrow and beef sausage, followed by trout and Swiss chard. Sticky toffee pudding for des

We were really excited for this meal, having heard some amazing reviews. Between us, we ordered different chops, include the most expensive at £96. After over an hour waiting and it arrived, sadly, the chops hadn’t been left to render for long e
A bit underwhelming!
We(five of us) opted for the fixed lunch…………….bad decision. The first course of pork croquettes was small but delightful and enjoyed by everyone. The Welsh Rarebit was quite tasty but unremarkable. Now for the main course………ham and eg
A warm dinner with the family.
the kind of kitchen was not my favorite. Burt all the other members of my family enjoyed it very much. their favorite dish was the potato confit. the stuff was kind and helpful.
Great Sunday lunch
One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had! Attentive staff and great food at a very reasonable price! What more could you ask for? I will be back!
Delicious lunch
Fabulous set lunch as always .. celeriac soup with burnt butter; Galway mince with fabulously dressed watercress and a side of confit potatoes.
Terrible
I thought this was very much “okay” for the money that we spent - nearly 600 quid for four of us - the food was good but for 600 quid!!!!! I mean !!!! Value for money ? Absolutely not - and from start to end with the waiter hovering we felt that
I just don’t know!
The QCH was recommended to me by a friend so I went ahead and booked. To be honest, I’m not sure why they recommended it and I will struggle to recommend it to others at the moment. I might have to have another visit then decide. The menu changes
Unique experience
Experience didn’t disappoint. Asked the staff for recommendations and they were extremely knowledgeable. Had a mix of game, fish and meats. Cocktails also good. Staff were pro and made the difference. The small game pie side with Parmesan topping
Rip off pricing, average food, terrible service
A really disappointing experience. The food is absolutely extortionately priced. £50 for a 300g sirloin steak on it's own is absolutely outrageous. Only three options of sides to go with your main course choice and they were beetroot salad, cavolo n
Let down by the front of house
Poor service, good food. Paying £50 for a steak, you’d think the waiting staff would at least ask how you would like it cooked- not so. One of several disappointing interactions with a surly member of the waiting staff. This is an expensive restau
I thought it was ok, but not something I'd recommend to
I thought it was ok, but not something I'd recommend to others. My sister really wanted to do a Sunday Roast while we were in London, did her research and this place came on top. I thought it ended up being good, but not great. We both started out
BEST DINING EXPERIENCE DURING OUR WEEK-LONG LONDON VISIT
We are from the US went to many fine restaurants during our week-long visit to London, but this was our best overall dining experience. All food choices were delicious -- my wife and I shared a chateaubriand steak done perfectly -- the servers were
Excellent food, albeit pricey.
Service was attentive without being overly intrusive. The ambiance is warm but a bit crowded. A must try is the absurdly delicious olive oil ice cream!
Knives Out
The meats were fine, but did not exceed expectations. Selection seems limited (only one pork chop, one lamb and three steak options) for a Chop / Steak House and come without any sides, so those must be ordered separately. Only three of them from wh
Great food, great wine and fabulous people
Thank you so much for making my birthday/ retirement such a lovely day. Not just the wonderful food and wine, but the care taken by and warmth from all of the staff - you made an old(ish) man very happy - take care, hopefully see you soon xx
Knockout lamb and the loveliest of waiters
This really lived up to the hype. Lovely, cosy, casual setting, serving up truly delicious plates of meat. If the osso bucco is on the menu, it’s a must. The Barnsley lamb chop was sublime, as were the crispy potatoes. Shared the chop between 2 wit

Unusual……
……menu. Bordering on odd. The food ended up being good, rather than great, if uninspiring. Very attentive staff, the same great atmosphere, of old, but the overall experience is very slightly underwhelming and on the expensive side.
Excellent
The food was delicious have shared a few different cuts of meat (lamb and beef) and the confit potatoes were especially nice. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and would recommend
Overpriced for what it was..
Recently celebrated a birthday here. The character and quirkiness of the restaurant were charming and brilliant. The staff were lovely & attentive. However, the food was very overpriced for what it was. £96 for the rib eye alone (without any acc
Fantastic Game menu
Probably the best game restaurant in London. The food is superb. I have been many times and have never been disappointed.
Very good.
Excellent quality and overall experience was enjoyed. My wife and I come here often and the service and food is always the same.
Another tasty lunch
The salmon tail served with XO sauce was excellent. It’s never easy to choose what to eat, as every dish is always executed so well. I chose the crab meat for my second dish, which was delicious.
Solid English chop house.
The chops do take a solid 40-60 minutes to prepare, so be sure to order small bites/snacks/ and appetizers! My personal favorite was the t-bone which came in a 800g size. If you're planning to order a chop, highly recommend bringing a date/friend or
Recently, I traveled to London with several friends.
Too goals: Eat well and watch soccer. The day we arrived we walked up the street from the flat we had rented and stumbled upon this restaurant. We asked if they could fit us in... they politely replied that they could not. We had walked about a block
