I think I may of been here along time ago, but I hardly remember it. On subcrawl I got the chance to go back when Jeevan recommended we check it out and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This won't be a huge review as there is not tonnes to say, but my main thoughts on the place were - * friendly staff and quick service.* friendly and chatty locals, keen to have a conversation about the events of the day.* big and clean looking pub. * decent selection of drinks. * cool name in my opinion. That's it. Average Partick bar. Well worth 3 stars.

I remember this place was called Heisenberg's until recently. Thank goodness that little experiment has ended, they were trying to sell blue "Science, B*tch" cocktails, it wasn't the most appealing choice.Anyway, now it looks like it's back to being a traditional pub. Lots of comfy seats, dark stained wood, sport on TV and proper beer. While Partick may not suffer from a particular shortage of pubs like this it's always good to know about another nice one. So, while I don't often find myself in Partick, on the rare occasions that I do I'd be tempted to drop back in for a pint or two.Bonus: I noticed the bathrooms were clean and quite nice. Is it weird to notice/care about these things? Doesn't matter, they were.

Normally I'd pass by bars on Old Dunbarton Rd without a second thought, but this place piqued my curiosity when it was labelled as Heisenberg's. Looking for a place to show the rugby, I stopped in here with my friend from Seville. The bar is full of dark-stained wood & seems like a real oldies pub, but it's frequented by a real variety of locals. They have two huge screens flanking the entrance for when you want to watch sport. The bar's deceptively large, with plenty of room for parties large & small. They have a fairly standard selection on tap, but they have Furstenburg in bottles & fentimans mixers. There's a decent mix of live music throughout the week, but the pub stereo tends to play a pretty palatable mix of new & old tunes. This pub might not be on your list of drinking spots, but it'll surprise you if you squeeze past the bouncers on the door & walk inside. Cheap prices, a warm reception await in this old, atmospheric Partick boozer
