The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe Reviews
Exceptional!
From the second we walked in we were made to feel like royalty. Our main server Michael was truly exceptional and went above and beyond for us. We had a voucher for afternoon tea, and would ordinarily never be able to dine here, but not once were we made to feel like we didn’t belong, quite the opposite. Really lovely food, the tea was wonderful. A real treat for us! Thank you!
Delightful afternoon tea
Had a lovely time at The Tiffany Blue Box cafe afternoon tea! Was a bit dubious after reading a couple of bad reviews but there was no need. This one has been on the list for some time. Stunning Tiffany decor, received excellent service from Dario and team! Amuse Bouche was a delicious raspberry granita followed by delicious sandwiches, really enjoyed the chicken mayonnaise on malted bread and the salmon vol au vant were our favourites! Followed by delicious cakes and champagne and scones ! A very delightful afternoon tea.
Daughter and I were ill after afternoon tea at Tiffany’s.
My daughter bought me afternoon tea for my 60 birthday. Immediately after eating it she started to feel unwell. Then became progressively worse through the night. We both started vomiting the next day. Asked for investigation. Formal reply back saying sorry for your experience but etc.but no one else had that experience and this invalidated our awful experience with no offer of reimbursement for price of afternoon tea. We both had to take sick leave from work. Poor show Harrods. Will not be returning. I have requested reimbursement. I’m not hopeful. I will not be returning to Harrods. I would score zero if I could.
Average at best.
Average at best. The food was tasty but not exceptional. The location was in the basement of Harrods and was small and windowless and very hot. The service was fine but again not stunning. All a bit meh really for the price. I asked my friends to put a price on what they thought it was worth and independently they all said £35.
Beautiful experience
A special treat for daughter’s big birthday. Booked two months in advance for the Breakfast. As an extra treat near the end, daughter got a card, 2 mini chocolates & a plate with 3 mini cakes from our server. Staff were very nice & helpful. I asked if they’d manage to put a candle on my daughter’s last course of pancakes. They said of course they just couldn’t light the candle. So was very cute & a surprise for her. Food was very nice & refreshing. Unlimited drinks, in a new clean cup each time. Also had fresh apple and fresh orange which wasn’t on the menu. So that was great. Decor was beautiful. Expensive breakfast but ok for a one off special occasion.
Underwhelming and left a Bitter taste
Of all the Afternoon Tea experiences in London, this was by far has been the most disappointing experience. After such anticipation for this experience we left feeling very underwhelmed due to being made to feel uncomfortable and not well catered for. The food was satisfactory however quite a limited range for Gluten Free (in terms of desserts). Though we were topped up with sandwiches, we weren’t offered any addition scones and waited for additional tea during our experience. This was highlighted by the fact that other tables were offered yet we felt quite disregarded. The staff were generally friendly however started to be made uncomfortable towards the end of the Afternoon tea. When presented with the serving tiers the staff were unprofessional with making a point about having two stands and the table being too small. Yet was made aware of our catering needs during our reservation. Simple solution; should have been seated on a bigger table… rather making an unprofessional comments especially in front of customers. After the meal, there was an additional service charge of 12.5% for a voucher experience. Though optional, this did feel rather sneaky. Overall the experience has left a bitter impression and for Tiffany’s standards it was not up to cut.
30th birthday Afternoon Tea
What a lovely dining experience. A lovely variety of high quality sandwiches, cakes, pastries, bottomless tea. Decadent. The staff were super friendly, warm and very welcoming. We loved it and will definitely be back at some point.
Huge waste of time and money. Awful.
My high expectations were NOWHERE near met. The service was terrible (they practically kicked us out while we were still finishing up) and the food was a huge disappointment. Eggs were overcooked and hollandaise was gummy. The fruit had been sitting around and was not fresh. And the croissant was HARD AS A ROCK. There’s nothing redeeming about this place except the pretty table settings. Plz don’t waste your time or money here…oh and ridiculously overpriced for what you get.
Underwhelming experience sadly!
I have wanted to have this afternoon tea for such a long time, but sad to say I was underwhelmed by the experience. The table wasn’t ready and we had to wait and then when seated had to wait a bit more, probably about 20 mins in total (were a 1.45pm booking), but at 2.50 we were told we needed to leave the table in 10 mins. We didn’t mind waiting, but were disappointed to then be rushed off. The toilets weren’t available, so had to leave the cafe to use some very tired toilets at the end of the corridor. On the plus side our waiter was amazing - without him the experience would have had one star! The food was lovely, but not the best afternoon we’ve had. To be honest it was all a bit disappointing. I couldn’t recommend.
