Food, service, ambience were all great.
Shared the lamb chops and elk with a friend. My favorite were the lamb chops but I would certainly have the elk again too. The old fashion was good as well. Very popular place so we had to reserve well in advance even for a Thursday night. A pricey place but really glad we went and will certainly go back again.

Sat at the bar for a nice dinner and it was a lovely experience. Bartender was friendly and service was good. Burrata appetizer was okay, I'd recommend trying something else next time. But, don't sleep on the Gouda fondue or the steak and mash. Delicious flavors. I'll be back soon to try brunch!
Be the first to ReplyThree stars for the excellent service and ambiance.
The papardelle I got had way too much duck and did not mesh well with the other flavors of mushrooms and peas the in a pasta dish. My friend got the chicken dish and it was OK served with lentils. I would not come back for the food but would maybe grab a drink here because it is a very nice setting.

This is one of the best restaurants in st pete! Super cool vibe inside and lots of space! Valet parking and you will need a reservation! Tons of craft cocktails and some really unique food! We reserved two seats at the bar and the service was so good! The bartenders know the menu and can guide you along! Perfect date night!

Ambiance was good but loud inside, wished we'd gotten an outside seat instead. Biscuits and gravy were tasty and well seasoned, eggs benedict was good, and I got the Bucatini alla Moonshine which I was disappointed by. The portion was small and the sauce was not creamy.
Be the first to ReplyWe were traveling to St.
Peterburg for a conference and decided to try this place. We are from Somerset and will have one of these openings soon. We wanted to see what it is like. We started with Oysters on the half shell. The pernod cocktail sauce was unique. The Calamari was served with a tomato and chipotle-based sauce that blended well with the crispy Calamari For the main course, my wife had the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, served with a Fava Been puree vinaigrette saffron infused. The side was a Vermont goat cheese potato gratin, which was flavorful. I had the wood-grilled elk chops covered in a cherry-flavored balsamic glaze and honey-glazed baby carrots. I had the Marcacabio Choice mouse for dessert, and my wife had the pineapple upside-down cake. It was a fantastic meal but very costly. I feel this may well be outside of most people's price range in Kentucky. For after-dinner, I stuck with my traditional drink, the House Old Fashioned, which is made with the establishment own brand of bourdon, Horse Soldier straight combined with a dash of maple syrup, angostura, and orange bitters. It is extraordinarily complex with notes of vanilla, ginger, and cherries. This barrel strength "wheated" bourbon is made from small batches and filtered to provide a full-bodied and decadent finish. Too much of a departure from "traditional" bourbon for my taste. I will always support veterans and their service, but the bourbon does not live up to the media hype. My wife had the Lavender Bee's Knees, a pea 7 lavender flower infused hign, combined with honey and thyme syrup with an added lemon. It is the most underrate cocktail they offer. They have a complete listing of wine as well as Amaro & Dessert liqueurs as well as extensive beer selection Overall, the food was delicious, and so was the ambiance. It wasn't loud, and we could talk with no issues. The decor is rustic, with bourbon as the central theme. That said, I believe the prices for this type of restaurant will not allow it to stay open very long in South Eastern Rural Kentucky, such as Somerset. While the overall service and quality of food is definitely 5 stars on average it does not warrant a over all 5 star rating without reservation. It is doubtful that the one in Somerset, will exceed this one.

We were in for the weekend and this place came at the recommendation of a local. Food, service, ambiance were all great. Would absolutely go back next time in town.

Went here to celebrate my bfs bday & it was amazing! Got the whiskey flight & it was great. The server was very knowledgeable. The restaurant was so beautiful with the high ceilings & fireplace. The food was quick and delicious. Id definitely recommend the lamb! I'll 100% be back.

Had celebration of life dinner here for an old family friend. Service and ambience was excellent. However, even in a private room the noise from outside tends to intrude.

Wow, what an incredible setting for a restaurant! The fillet I had was cooked to perfection and you could eat it with a spoon. Five star service with a crew that was very nice and accommodating. I had a flight of bourbon that was awesome as the restaurant is also a distillery (Solder Horse bourbon). The best restaurant I've ever been to in St. Pete.
Be the first to Replyincredible! went there for my wife's 65th.
Amy Lee was able to get us a table at the last moment since our original restaurant failed us! thank God they did! Amy Lee was such a sweetheart! Very caring, warm and genuine! The dinner was beyond description and cooked to perfection. Our servers, Devin and Calista were fantastic! very friendly, cheerful and and on top of every need before asking. It was very apparent Amy Lee, Calista and Devin enjoyed their job and employer and it showed in their attitude. Seldom is this ever seen! Our only regret, was the owner left Pryor to getting his Signature on our bottle of commodore bourbon. This place gets AAA+++ rating! Great job!
Be the first to ReplyVery high end distillery with food.
The person that greeted us asked if we had reservations and when we said no it sounded like we couldn't even get a drink. A bit of a turn off but we stayed and had a few cocktails once we found out we could order a drink from the bar and only sit in a certain area. We were told to not sit in any green chairs at the bar. Ok, lots of green chairs at the bar are open. Again, not very welcoming. The drinks were good but not sure we'll return
Be the first to ReplyOkay this place is so freaking cool.
Very modern but very approachable. I attended a party in the second story and i loved the Pool Table room and the fireplace up there! Complimentary Valet too. Menu was delicious, and staff was super helpful and friendly.

I want to start by saying this place is gorgeous and the food is amazing. I had a few of their craft cocktails and loved them as well. We were a group of 8 with a reservation made a few weeks in advance. This was a work dinner and we all ordered quite a bit and spent a lot of money. At the end, we were finishing our drinks and basically got asked to leave because "another group was waiting for 45 minutes" for our table. Mind you, we were still drinking and ordering. After explaining we would be done soon, we were asked again. As someone who has worked in the same industry for years, this sounds like a host or reservation issue to me and it was pretty rude to give us the boot. I won't be back which is a shame because the food really is delicious.

The story behind the restaurant is really cool. The wait staff was very informative and friendly. Loved our experience. We had the beet tartar, lamb chops, Wagyu beef, Brussels, pineapple upside down cake, and passionfruit sorbet.

Come here and you won't be able to find a better waiter/waitress! The service here is always amazing and blows me away. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything on the food and drinks menu. They make good recommendations and always has an answer. The appetizers come out fast but the entrees always take a little more time preparing. I highly suggest the veal meatballs and spinach Gouda dip. Those are wow (amazingly delicious). The veal is so tender. The dip is so creamy. I wish we also got the octopus but we got the venison instead and I didn't eat any of that so I can't comment to it but everyone else at the table loved it. For my entree, I got the Coriander spiced chicken but I wish I got something else. The chicken was a bit dry and boring. My fiancé got the wagyu and it was so much more tender, juicy and flavorful. The entrees and sides are pretty expensive so be prepared for that. My friend got the lamb chops medium rare and she said it was phenomenal and the best lamb chop she has had. Overall, the food was good (I wouldn't get the chicken again) and the atmosphere was great. Service was too notch. Still one of the best restaurants I think.

The building is beautiful, the servers were awesome, the drinks + food was good, however I was a bit taken back that they do not offer high chairs, booster seats or a kids menu. They would rather lose your business than have children during dinner. Thankfully I have a very well behaved 2 year old who sat on my lap the entire dinner minus the last 15 minutes and at that point guests were shocked she had been there the whole time. Just want to point that out for future parents so you're not shocked like I was!
Be the first to ReplyWannabe hip and unique but just boring and pretentious.
Nothing new to see here. Poor service, slow kitchen and arrogance galore - both with front of the house staff and patrons. Clearly a place past its peak and on the downward glide. Looking forward to the laser tag or retail spaces that opens once they inevitably shut the door.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a pretty popular trendy bar / restaurant in St Pete
This is a pretty popular trendy bar / restaurant in St Pete run by the famous Horse Solider bourbon veterans. They have a bourbon tasting area on one side, a restaurant on the other, and a bar in the back. There's also outdoor seating but it doesn't live up to the ambiance and decor of the indoor areas...and I'd generally recommend avoiding it unless their reservations are booked (which they often are). There's also a very nice real fireplace that greets you when you walk in and meet the hostess in the front. Service was generally nice. The hosts seemed nice enough, but the bartenders had personality and chatted with us. We had some of their house specialties like a smoked old fashion and another bourbon drink. They were made well and we enjoyed the drinks. We had reserved a table but it was in the upstairs area which is nice but felt a bit disconnected from the cool vibe downstairs. By the time our table was ready after a round of drinks we ended up staying at the bar which had comfy seats and friendly service. And the fireplace. Can't forget the fireplace! We ordered a few different food items and the food was just ok for us. That's the only reason we took a star off. We do plan to give it another try and will adjust our rating if the food is better next time. We also want to try the bourbon tasting- probably when we have family or friends in town. Overall if you like Bourbon, this is a must see place in the 'Burg. The owners are vets and if you get the chance to talk to them, they're very friendly folks.

Only open on select evenings, but worth planning a visit well ahead of time. Service was excellent and our meal was delicious. The ambiance was perfect: upscale but comfortable with good mood lighting. People get married/host receptions here so you can certainly dress up a bit and IMHO this is not the place for board shorts and a t-shirt.As others have mentioned, the gift shop with all manner of gifts and sundries was fun to peruse. We arrived a bit early to do just that as well as sample a cocktail on the leather couches by the fireplace. Great spot for a pre-meal snuggle. My "So Matcha Love to Give" cocktail was great as I am a sucker for egg white and herbs like basil in a cocktail. The hubby enjoyed his Old Fashioned. My second craft cocktail (Pop Pop in the Attic) was my least favorite part of the visit; something about the finish reminded me of cough syrup (the orgeat and cinnamon syrup maybe?) and I have a pretty big aversion to cough syrup so I would not get that again but that doesn't mean others won't enjoy it. We shared several apps along with an entree and dessert, and I would recommend all of them:- Spanish octopus- Deviled eggs- Potato gratin- Whole hogfish- Pineapple upside down cakeNow I just have to get back here for brunch!!

From the moment I sat I thought to myself, the ambiance in this place lends itself beautifully to bring one's fiancée here. Simply elegant. All my menu choices hit a high note for me. From the floral and gently tart Lillet Spritz to one of the best boozy coffee drinks I've ever had with the 'Stay Grounded' to the oh so indulgent eggs Affogato drenched in saucy flavor. Definitely worth making and waiting for this reservation.

Last night was wonderful! We had the rare opportunity to have a parents night out and we celebrated with a reservation at the bar at The Urban Stillhouse. Gorgeous atmosphere, industrial and cozy, high ceilings, a gorgeous bar with a beautiful vignette of the giant still. We started with the Yellowstone and Figgit About It cocktails and they were absolutely stunning! As the night went on we got to know our bartender, Nilson, and he was an absolute pro (so glad you're in St. Pete and not Arkansas!) We started off with some octopus, which was super smoky and meaty! Then, we got the Grouper and Lamb entrees with a side of goat cheese gratin. Just phenomenal. Everything. And came out SUPER fast! We ended with this amazing chocolate dessert (Maracaibo Chocolate Mousse) and another round of drinks crafted by Nilson. Overall, an amazing night. We will DEFINITELY come back!

This place is gorgeous, beautiful decor and space, really good service as well! Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. The food was ... meh. Ok. Not bad. Not great. I was expecting to be impressed because the menu reads creative and interesting -but nothing was worth ordering again. The presentation and concept of my fish was really nice, but unfortunately it just tasted sorta average. Not super fresh, which is disappointing given the steep price of the entree and location of the restaurant so close to gulf. Maybe I'd go for meat or a few appetizers if I return- definitely would not expect top notch seafood from here.
