Have been told to try this place out, have not eaten a lot of sushi. Servers were very nice and helped me with the menu. Ordered spicy California and bluefin tuna. For awareness Spicy California is spicy, and great. What a great juxtaposition between the spicy and the tuna! Definitely recommend stopping in, I know I will again.

5 stars when we were in Burien, so we gave it a try. However, the sushi we ordered were not worth for the price. I ordered the Rainbow, the size was small and the ingredients portion was small too. It was like sushi bought from a supermarket (not an Asian one). Water was not served until I asked, table was not cleaned up until some other clients came in waiting. So overall it was disappointing.

Did not disappoint. My girlfriend and I had a lot of nigiri and a few rolls. Everything was clean/fresh. Tasted amazing. Place was busy in a Thursday night. So make a reservation
Wow! What a place--all the stars for Tori Sushi.
The minute you step inside you are greeted by the friendliest staff ever. We were served top notch by Jeanette--FABULOUS!!! They take such pleasant and attentive care of you, your order and anything you might need. We had the sea salt edamame to start with some hot sake. The attention to detail is amazing--they even placed a napkin holder tightly around the hot sake so it's easy to handle. We then had TNT and Hamachi Hooray--both fantastic. And then we added hamachi nigiri and tuna nigiri. Yummy! Needless to say we will be back before our trip to Seattle is over.

We've been to Tori multiple times, but our most recent visit--celebrating a friend's birthday--truly stood out and inspired me to finally leave a review. The staff went above and beyond! They were incredibly sweet and attentive to our party of six, making our friend (and all of us) feel special. The service was top-notch, and the food was as excellent. Thank you, Tori team! (I have included the tiny note and drawing the staff wrote to reserve the table. Very cute!)
We googled for Uni and they were on top of the list.
Too bad, they ran out of uni the night before. But it was alright because their sushi and sashimi and tempura is awesome. Will definitely go back.
The very best of Kyoto/Japanese Yakitori Experiences...once in a lifetime!
Michelin worthy/starred Yakitori/Robata in the heart of Kyoto. Masterful Chef continues to create the very best of their craft in a homey/personal setting. Seventeen seats around the bar make this one of the best Yakitori experiences we've ever had. Super tough reservation, must book in advance or through Hotel/Japanese-speaking friends. I came here yesterday and am still thinking about it! We were greeted by a friendly server and seated in a big comfy booth. The service was some of the best I have had, our server was so friendly and attentive. And the sushi was delicious. Three rolls and miso soup was enough for my husband and I. We will definitely be back! The spicy Ora King was our favorite!
Best sushi I've had in this area.
No crazy gimmicks, and no rolls that fall apart from too much sauce being put on top. The sashimi melts in your mouth. The best roll was the one with beets. They even have REAL wasabi which is $5 if I recall correctly, but totally worth it. I blew so much money here cause I kept ordering but I do not regret it

Needed a quick bite before flying out of SeaTac and found this place. My wife loved the rainbow roll and various nigiri pieces she ordered, and I was blown away by the chicken katsu -- it tasted more like country fried chicken in cutlet form! They've got a good selection of Japanese craft beer and soju, and the hosts/wait staff were very lovely. Great little spot!
Second time here and just as fantastic as I remember.
I dare put it on the top of sushi restaurants in the Seattle area! Don't expect fancy surroundings, but you can expect high quality fish and creative menu offerings--the menu is not sparse, but not overwhelming (I need to make a point of ordering a different sushi roll for each visit). They have a good variety of Sakes and Japanese beers. And they have real wasabi! The lone waitress was (and is) very friendly and thorough... seemingly happy to make you happy and appreciative of any compliments. It isn't the cheapest and you can easily run up quite a bill, but if you can moderate, you'll find that the quality of the food is worth the price.

I am a food delivery driver and this restaurant in particular is by and far the rudest restaurant that I have delivered for. Prior to yesterday I only had superficial concern about this restaurant, but as f today I'm writing to send WARNING to all delivery drivers and customers of Tori Sake! Yesterday around 4:30 in the afternoon I arrived at Tori Saki for a food delivery pickup. As I was waiting outside (per their command for all delivery drivers), and I had a small baked good that was given to me from the previous restaurant I had picked up for. I didn't really feel like eating the tiny snack, so i looked around the property for a garage can and couldn't see one. I decided it was ok, because it was just a tiny piece of basically sweet-bread, to throw it towards the atorm drain next to the sidewalk. I didn't mean it in any sort of disrespect to the business or my community. It was a piece of bread! Next thing I know, the cook (a chubby 5'9" asian man about 35 years old) was at my car window screaming at me in front of everyone! He threatened me numerous times and called me several names including, "fagg*t" and "b!tch". I tried to reason with him and apologize but he just kept threatening me to "get out and fight". I'm a skilled fighter, I'll just put it that way, but i chose to protect my job and decided to just leave before anything really bad happened. Im sincerely concerned for all delivery drivers and even customer safety at this restaurant and I encourage a boycot by all delivery drivers. If they treat one of us like that, they likely treat all of us like that. God bless all, drive safe out there fellow delivery people, and be careful if you choose to go to this business for any reason. Service - 5/5 very attentive and very friendly Atmosphere - 4/5 relaxed and chill atmosphere. Nothing special. It is not too small but not big either. Food - my fiancee ordered the chirashi and I ordered the 70 dollars omakase. Good decent slices of fish and my omakase presentation in the 3x3 box was very beautifully presented and larger than I expected! Good quality fish but I did not care for the purple rice that was paired with the chirashi and with my omakase. I prefer the traditional Japanese white rice. Each fish slices was so fresh. Highly recommend!

Our kids (3 & 6) really enjoyed their first sushi experience. The server was really great but they were very busy. There was a wait but they did a good job moving people through quickly.

The fish was fresh and portions were generous....and not bloated with gobs of rice or surimi. Yum i wish i could eat this daily! Thank you Tori Sake and Grill!
My recent visit left much to be desired.
Despite prompt and attentive service, the overall experience fell short, starting with the delayed service. Opting for the chirashi bowl, I was disappointed by both its presentation and flavor. The oddly plated dish failed to impress visually, and the addition of pickled vegetables did little to enhance the overall taste. Unlike other establishments, the flavors lacked depth and authenticity. The sashimi lacked freshness, reminiscent of supermarket-bought fish, and the rice failed to impress. While this place may cater to the city's demographic, discerning diners seeking quality Japanese cuisine will likely be underwhelmed. Considering the price point, there are better alternatives available.

I heard of this place through tiktok and I was not disappointed! I was craving nigiri and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The pieces were fatty and melted in my mouth. SO GOOD!! I think the price on their menus are reasonable and worth the price. Some rolls are as cheap as $9-11, some speciality rolls go up to around $18. Both rolls I got were really good and I will definitely be coming back to try more. For the cherry on top and the main reason this place stands out to me is the service. Whoever the waitress is -- she is so kind, welcoming and energetic. Right when we stepped in, we were greeted and sat down immediately. She even noticed we were finishing our ginger and gave us more!! Overall, I will definitely be coming back, especially for their nigiri.

Service was super friendly, restaurant was busy but had a nice energy to it all. Place is small but quiet enough to have individual conversations and not hear everyone around you. Friend ordered the charashi bowl and liked it a lot. We both raved about how perfectly seasoned the rice was. Ordered the standard California maki (really good staple), bluefin maki (super fresh, cucumber had a crunch, definitely a favorite) and the hamachi maki (fresh and had jalapeno). Great experience, prices are fair. Will definitely come again.

I really hope the owner can see this review and make improvement on the food because I totally see this place has potential and heart to serve good food. We ordered Tori Special for Two, Giant Spider roll and chicken karaage. The service is excellent and very attentive. The miso soup is way too salty like they added extra salt into miso soup. The tofu of the miso soup has the raw tofu liquid taste. Chicken karaage is very salty as well. If it is truly Japanese style karaage, the meat should be more chunky; the cabbage underneath it should be thinly shredded, not roughly chopped. Also it should not come with a red sweet and sour sauce. It usually goes with Japanese mayo or white dipping sauce. The hot food needs a lot of improvement. Tori Special for Two looks very pretty except the shrimp. After tasting them, I am disappointed. All the fish and rice temperature were super cold. The rice tasted like it came out from fridge and are Al dente. Sushi rice should never be fridge. The fish is super cold too! Seriously, I can tell the quality of the fish is not bad but they were so cold that I couldn't taste any oil or sweetness from them. I had to keep the fish in my mouth for at least couple minute to warm it up! It was that cold. The shrimp looked a bit on the dried side but it is a big shrimp; however, I found many pieces of shell still attached on my piece. Ooo and when we were reviewing our picture, I found out they only gave us 10 pieces of sashimi instead of 12 pieces. Since the fish seems to be in good quality and the service is excellent, I really hope the owner can learn more on true Japanese cuisine and prep the food properly.
We were wonderfully surprised last night.
We were staying overnight near SeaTac airport to catch a very early flight the next day. It was a miserable, cold snowy night and we were looking for a little sushi before dropping the car off at the ParkandRide. We would normally go to another spot over in Southcenter that we have been going to for years but this one came up with an extra half of a star and was 1 minute closer drive over in Burien. We weren't disappointed. Nothing fancy but the highest quality kanpachi and hamachi sashimi and delicious creamy, spicy scallop hand rolls. Unlimited tea and miso soup served by what I can only imagine was one of the owners. Very reasonably priced. Our only problem is that we had had a large lunch and weren't as hungry as we would have liked to be. Next time though. Even though Burien isn't around the corner for us anymore, I promise you we will find a way to get back soon. Lots of very imaginative rolls and other items to look forward to. We have been down on restaurant eating since the pandemic (high prices and mediocre food) but this place renewed our faith.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Torisaki Kyoto at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Torisaki Kyoto page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ImmortalStep65, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ImmortalStep65 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ImmortalStep65 for any questions Peter may have as ImmortalStep65 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ImmortalStep65 now uses their connections at Torisaki Kyoto to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ImmortalStep65 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ImmortalStep65 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ImmortalStep65's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Torisaki Kyoto!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
