Fabulous Restaurant
This restaurant is fabulous. Yes, there are other popular Italian restaurants here in Saratoga, but don’t miss this wonderful place. All 4 of our meals were fantastic. We had eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, chicken piccata and bucatini amatriciana. All of the dishes were delicious and very plentiful. And, don’t forget to order the pistachio cheesecake (with 4 spoons). The place is small and cozy with a wonderful waitress also!
Be the first to ReplySmall Spot with the Best Food Ever!
I visited Trattoria Fortunata while visiting friends who were staying in town. We absolutely loved it! It is a small space, so I definitely recommend making. a reservation online or calling ahead. The staff was absolutely lovely, and the food was beyond amazing. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and pancetta arancini for appetizers (both delicious- the Brussels were a very large serving). Our group had the orecchiette with broccoli rabe & sausage (my friend repeatedly insisted it was the best pasta she ever had), the bucatini amatriciana (absolutely delicious and not too spicy), the crab gnocchi (the only one of us who finished our entire plate because he loved it so much), and the bucatini bolognese (classic, but amazing). To finish it off we had the pistachio cheesecake, which is my new favorite dessert and we were upset we didn't get 2 pieces! Overall, this little spot is a 10/10 and I would like to go back!

Andrea, our server, was an absolute delight; smiling and pleasant. The food was exceptional. It’s an intimate setting. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food in this small cozy family restaurant in downtown Saratoga Springs
Excellent food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. After a busy day of traveling, we thoroughly enjoyed this cozy family restaurant serving tasty fresh Italian food. We loved our eggplant Parmesan and vegetarian risotto served with added chicken. The casual and quiet atmosphere was romantic and the service was outstanding. Even the bread with their signature lemon chive butter was memorable. We only wished we had room for their special pistachio cheesecake. Maybe next time!

Amazing pancetta arachini, lemon zest butter and bread, chianti, and rigatoni. A little pricey, but absolutely worth it.

First, let me say the wait staff was outstanding attentive and trying to put the best face on whatever was going on in the kitchen. Second, I have to say the food was outstanding. As great a quality as Solevo or Danny’s. We ordered two appetizers Meatballs and eggplant. Both were wonderful the Eggplant outstanding. Wife had the bolognese and I the Orrecchiette with the hot sausage and broccoli rabe. Both were wonderful but fair warning the sausage is very spicy.
So with all of this wonderful food and service how come only a three? From the time we ordered our appetizers until their arrival fifty minutes had passed. At one point we looked around the restaurant (it’s very small) there was no food at any table in the restaurant. The waitress said it’s the usual pace of play there. But if you take that long to serve food you shouldn’t charge $3.00 for bread. It would give the diners something to gnaw on during their wait.
Bottom line, it’s a real keeper. Just plan on a long slow process for the delivery of some of Saratoga’s best Italian food.
Cozy Restaurant with Great Food
My husband and I recently had dinner at this cozy restaurant in downtown Saratoga. It was wonderful, both in terms of food and service! Our Pancetta Arancini appetizer was outstanding - probably the best arancini that we’ve ever tasted. I had the Orecchiette e Salsciccia entree and my husband had the Gnocchi Bolognese. Both were absolutely delicious! Our server, Kathy, was helpful and attentive throughout our visit. All in all, an excellent experience! If you enjoy Italian food, we highly recommend Trattoria Fortunata.

This is the best downtown Italian meal I have had in Saratoga Springs in probably five years. Bar none. Classic app of Broccoli Rabe was excellent, perfectly cooked and spiced. Orecchiette with sausage was simple but excellent. Anyone of us can make this pedestrian dish….but not like this. Sauce was over the top. Great portion size. Excellent sausage. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot either dining in or takeout. It’s really really good.

Finding a place to eat dinner in in Saratoga Springs in August in a covid-environment was difficult, We did find seating at the Fortunata. They recently opened, within the past year, and had not yet gotten their liquor license - so no alcohol. The menu here, at this time, was limited. Our entrees were huge by any standard - the three of us had to take part of our entrees 'to go'. The lady who waited on us was very friendly and welcoming. The food was authentic and tasty.

Fabulous from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious with tons of flavor and bursting with freshness. We happened on this hidden gem while walking down the street and came in to see if we could get a reservation for the evening. OMG we were blown away by the food. As I come from an Italian family I know the difference in flavors and they are just like Grandma made. My husband could not stop smiling at the Bolognese sauce and how good the meat sauce was. I had the Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage and it was first rate. It has no liquor license yet and while the menu is I admit small, we were more than happy with it. I am quite sure they will expand it in the months to come and I predict they will be quite the hit in Saratoga Springs. They have earned it with the food and the service.
