Exceptional Service Delicious Food
I will start off by saying that I found the service at this restaurant to be among the best I have ever had. The lobster was cooked perfectly and they had the most unique scallops I ever had. Brown crab lives up to its billing. The venison dish was also a hit. My one comment is that the tasting menu is a lot more food than you might anticipate due to accompaniments. It’s not a bad thing, but come having fasted for a bit.

This is not just the best Indian food ever but up there with the best ever any kind of cuisine I’ve tasted. Service wonderful. Food incredible- how can you make broccoli taste like that? Best gin and tonic. Went there with a voucher given for Christmas present. I’ll definitely go back
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Indian Food
Went for a birthday celebration. They happened to have an Easter menu which ran to four courses with plenty of choice. Three of us chose different items from the menu and all of the food was excellent and plentiful. This is the best Indian food I've had in London. Staff were great and service was super.

Refined Indian food prepared and seasoned excellently We had tandori lamb for dinner, crab prepared in a delicious way, and some shrimp with a delicious sauce The bread, a detail not to be missed Excellent attention

Michelin-starred not bad for the cuisine (the place could be a little more maintained), but I've had better ones in London. On the other hand, the flavors are there and in sufficient quantity! Very attentive staff as well.
Be the first to ReplyMemorable lunch at a Michelin Restaurant.
I decided to visit Trishna having initially planned to try Gymkhana. The emphasis on seafood at Trishna persuaded me to change my venue. I opted to have the lunchtime Tasting Menu. 4 courses were available, I had 3 courses as follows: Telicherry squid and shrimps, dill and pepper salmon, Gongura lamb. Cooking of each course was faultless. The Telicherry squid and shrimps was one of the best Indian starters I have had. The salmon was beautifully cooked with a pink centre. The Gongura Lamb was a real show stopper with chettinad potatoes, dal, rice and naan. Service was professional and efficient. I was one of the first to arrive and the room filled with patrons rapidly. Each table was served in a welcoming and friendly manner.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful time. Special shout out to Manesh!!
Firstly, service. I have sought to go to more premium and fine dining restaurants in the last year. This was hands down and far and away the best service we have received bar none. Manesh (sorry for spelling) served us, and provided serving sequence recommendations and more throughout the meal. He was exceedingly polite, genuine and conversational, but not in the awkward or over the top way others often do. The other staff were also very polite and fitting for a 1 Michelin star, but I will be surprised if I find somewhere surpassing Manesh’s service. Went late in the evening, but was never rushed at all. Stuck with the vegetarian options and no alcohol, so bill was not excessive, and thoroughly enjoyed the food we received. Lighting and setting were pleasant even though the window had the scaffolding view. My girlfriend and I were talking about the time long after we left, and have been comparing against here ever since. Thank you Trishna team, and thank you Manesh!
Be the first to ReplyDecent, but expensive
Just not as good as I'd hoped. £300 bill for 2 people, with no alcohol is all you need to know. The venison was literally 5 star - seriously amazing. Everything else, a bit indifferent. I liked the informality, but the price way too high given the experience. I must stress, service was very good. This was bill vs food.
Be the first to Reply£1 charity donation on the bill is inappropriate
Great food and pleasant waitstaff but it was very inappropriate that they put a £1 charity donation on the bill. Nobody who dines there would care about the £1. But it’s wrong on principle. It’s tantamount to taking £1 out ouf someone’s pocket and saying it will go to charity (unless you ask back for it). I do my own charity and I don’t like to be hustled about it in that manner when I go out dining.

I’ve been eager to get a table here again after 3 years but it’s always fully booked. I was happy to get a 9pm table for when my Dad was in town. I have to say i was a bit underwhelmed. After being seated and given water, no one came back for ages and it was about 25m before we ordered a drink. We didn’t really understand the menu either, and couldn’t hear or understand what the waiter was saying about the dishes. We ended up with 2 very hot curries and some kind of pulled beef rib thing that we didnt really want we just laughed. I think we were all out of our depth, everything we ate was exceptionally hot, so I can’t comment on the flavour. Perhaps I’m being unfair to the lover of hot food, but we were definitely out of our depth here. The general reviews are fantastic and I have had a nice meal here before, id just act with caution unless you love hot food.

This is definitely an Indian cuisine restaurant outside the norm. For the dishes it offers, (the menu is on the web) for its decoration, for the great service and most of all for its outstanding wine list. Is it worth paying here from 50% to 75% more than in a “normal” good Indian restaurant in London (helped by the pretentious guide Michelin)? No at all. There is always the possibility that this perception is a result of the choices made. But when everything, from the below average papadam & Co. to the kulfi (tasteless) is disappointing and some of them like the tandori duck clearly reheated, there cannot be other valuation. There are many better Indian restaurants in the city. And the bill be half.
Be the first to ReplyCan I give it 6 Stars?!
Recommend!! Recommend!! Recommend!! The seafood biryani and the raita with their own personal twist were out of this world. I never wanted it to end…. It did though before I could finish… the portions were hearty indeed! Will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyGood but pricy
Great indian food, but damn expensive. 6.5 for a bowl of rice is too much when you paid 29 for a main course. Great food, but be sure to open your wallet. Got no economical problem? Please enjoy their great staff and tasting menu which seems great
Be the first to ReplyTruly gourmet Indian food
The tasting menu is really something. Everything was amazing including the accompaniments, like the incredibly spiced lamb chop with a side of shredded radish with mustard seeds. Or the smoked tomato chutney that came with papadum. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Timing of the courses was perfect. I will go again and highly recommend it for foodies.

Good food, good service, good prices. Went with my partner for dinner and it was great. Staff were wonderful and we had a great time.

The four of us went to Trishna in March of last year. I gave it a five star review then and I am glad to say that it still deserves five stars. The lunch menu - £45 for four courses - is an excellent value for money, with superb food. Excellent service.

We went with the 3 course lunch before a theatre trip. Amazing! You will not be disappointed!!! Special Indian themed cocktails as well. We WILL be back!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience and delicious food. Staff went above and beyond to make our experience worthwhile.
Amazing experience. A genuine thank you to all the staff who made our visit a pleasant and memorable experience. We visited to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and the staff went above and beyond, the food was mouth watering and delicious and there was a wide range of selection to choose from, my favourites of the night being the soft shell crab and the lamb curry. They truly deserve their Michelin star. It was definitely a fine dining experience to remember and again the staff added the personal touches of genuine interaction, conversation, suggestions of food and drink, a birthday slice of cake and candle and a birthday card signed by all members of staff! This restaurant will be highly recommended and I'm sure my friends and family will be visiting soon. Thanks.
Be the first to ReplyMichelin star? I’d say average London Indian restaurant food. Just about fine dining.
Don’t let a Michelin Star fool you here. I’d sugges do not let having a premises in Marylebone think that’s enough to justify a Michelin star status. I’ve filmed several Michelin star restaurants, and eaten in some of the best Indian restaurants in the UK and EU and I have to report I feel like this was at best Slightly above average. The price does not justify the content. Indian Restaurants across the UK like Prashad , cost a fraction of the price and the food Is easily on a par and service as good. I’m worried about being to critical here, but £280 for a meal for two - justifies better food and service. IMO. Service was mediocre, the “sommelier” was bizarrely average. We asked about one wine whilst pointing at it and he proceeded to suggest a Pinot noir. When we’d been clearly talking about a white wine. Odd. We’d actually go as far as to say, he seemed only there to upsell. The wine (£60 a bottle) arrived and was room temperature. We fed back that it wasn’t cold, and they put more ice into the ice bucket. Not exactly the service I’d expect from any restaurant. In summary, We expected WAY more. Do yourself A favour. Check out places across the uk and london like Amrutha, Dishoom, Lahore Karahi, Hrishikesh @ Gilpin Hotel, Prashad before here. They’ve either lost their mojo or other places have raised the bar. It just didn’t feel that special. The papadum tray, bread basket and rice - did not have anything special about it to justify the price tag. Sorry to be blunt but honesty is the best policy.
Be the first to ReplyHappy lunch!
Service is amazing, food is really good. If I really want to be picky, the first waitress forgot about the mango lassi that we ordered. Slightly pricy though but for the great quality food and service quality offered, it’s totally worth it.
Be the first to ReplyDetoriated and very rude welcome.
We user to go frequently. The taste has detoriated but also service. We had a very rude welcome this and had to leave… not comparable to Jamavar, Gymkhana etc any more…. Really sad to see as we used to love this place
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but...........
Superb tasting menu - innovative, clever everything you would hope it would be. However, we arrived 15 minutes and were told our table wasn't ready. Fair enough although there were a number of empty tables. So we asked if there was somewhere we could sit to have a drink. We were told it wasn't possible but they suggested we try the pub over the road which apparently is where they send their 'early arrival' customers normally. Really? Michelin star restaurant sends you over the road for a pre dinner drink? Oh and just one other thing. I called a few days before our booking to ask if they could make non alcoholic cocktails other than the 2 on the menu. No problem I was told whatever you like we can make. However, on the night it was sorry just the non alcoholic cocktails on the menu. Admittedly, these things are not the end of the world but none the less slightly irritating for a restaurant at this level.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect birthday dinner
Visited last week for my birthday meal. Food was tasty and service fantastic. For starters we shared Aloo Tokri Chaat, Coconut & Corn Tikki (my fav) and Tandoori Lamb Chops (delicious). For mains Hyderabadi Subz Kofta (my least fav) and Gongura Lamb (delicious). We ordered a little too much for 2 people, but they were more than happy to box up to stop food wastage. They surprised me with a chocolate cake slice and candle - I was ready to burst after finishing this! My partner loved the Kulfi dessert. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

This is a Michelin star restaurant! Thankfully we were able get a reservation with a short notice. They have both a regular and a vegetarian tasting menue and we took both. WARNING: They stop talking orders for the tasting menus as 21:15. We were lucky by a few minutes, the filtering couple was not ... The food: All the dishes where very good and true to their indian inspiration. However, if you are looking for that special extraordinary thing, it was missing.
