🤢 2/5 - Disapointing

We went to Trullo on a date for the second service on a Saturday night. 5 people took care of us and it was very inconsistent, some of them were cheering and helpful, others were inattentives and indifferents. I was told the menu changes often so maybe it was bad luck but the food was really disapointing, from the 11£ lamb lettuce which is really just some salad with cut cherries and grated cheese, to the 26£ porkchop with beans (coined Hampshire fancy in the menu, but it is literally a pork steak and beans on the side). I had the 28£ pollock which tasted like pretty much any basic white fish you could order in a cantine restaurant, the overcooked spinach on the side did not help it to make the cut, and the 'rainbow' shards tasted like feet really. The golden garlic pici was very tasty, but again it is 12£ for pasta and garlic, no fuss needed. The 15£ Dorset crab is tasty too, and the only worthy dish we had that evening, unfortunately. The 35£ bottle of Sangiovese with vanilla flavours was a good recommendation from waiter number 3. Our table was large and comfortable. However the tablecloth is a piece of paper, which is really okay, but I though that thick white cotton cloth would add a warmer tone to an Italian evening, not to mention London is chilly and there was a rather cold air flow from the opened door if you were sat on the way (which we were). Last but not least, I do want to do my part and donate to Ukraine's benefits, but i find it quite weird that 1£ more is charged automatically on the final bill. i think if the restaurant wants to donate, they should not transfer the responsibility to customers automatically. I am not gonna cry for 1£ but it does seem like an unfair practice. 144 pounds for the whole evening, it is reasonable for 2 people, enough food and a bottle of wine but i must say I will not be back for a while, the experience wasn't good enough.
