The BEST OF THE BEST TACOS
I’ve been a loyal Customer of Tito’s Taco for over 40 years and food has ALWAYS been delicious. I’m from Culver City CA and this was my families Friday night staple for my entire childhood. Tito’s Taco will forever be my FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD.
Be the first to ReplyStill good, prices went up a lot
Haven't been here in a few years, but stopped by to bring some home as a special treat. The prices went up a lot, but the tacos and burritos are still good, although quite heavy so be very hungry when you order from Tito's. They do use lard in the refried beans (yum), so be aware of this if you have any vegetarians with you.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Visit Thanks To Our Server Jennifer 😃👍👍
My cousin and I visited Tito Tacos for our first time. We were greeted by Jennifer who was so sweet and so helpful with the menu. We loved our food and our new Tito Taco hat!!! So cool!!! What a great keepsake from our visit. If you have never been to Tito Taco you need to put this on your list of things to do while in LA. This is an iconic restaurant with a great vibe and wonderful workers. Thanks Tito’s for a wonderful meal and a memorable experience. A big shout out to our server Jennifer 😃👍👍🌴.
Be the first to ReplyWhat’s the hype?
We went there super hungry and disappointed. The atmosphere is great but the tacos were crunchy which I love but where is the beef? All lettuce and cheese. The meat was bland, no flavor and the salsa didn’t help. I wanted to love it because I have heard so many great things but I chalked it up as it’s those place where people grew up on it so that’s why they love it and keep going. There prices are fine. Not expensive at all. Great customer service and fast getting through the long line.
Be the first to ReplyLocal legend seems a little pricey, great nachos
I'd heard a lot about Tito's Tacos even before I visited LA; so I had to try it. My beef & bean & rice burrito was very tasty, but not enough to be a destination dish. The chicken tamale was even more disappointing - the masa had firmed up too much, but the chicken was nicely seasoned. All the sauces were great, especially the green salsa which has a nice kick and the chipotle-based tamale sauce. Every order comes with fresh nachos and a plain tomato salsa. I ordered some guacomole, which was very smooth and bright green, but not tremendously avocado-ey. The portion of chips was humongous; so I refrigerated the guac and had it the next day. I noticed the guac had "split" a bit. I am guessing they use guar gum or xantham gum to give it that creamy texture and to bind it with water. It was still very tasty with the excellent home-made tortilla chips. This wasn't a cheap meal. I am not sure you can call it fast food when you pay as much as a sit-down dinner.
Be the first to ReplySomeone should update the menu on this site
Love the vibe Super casual and good The menu is the mostly same but the pricing is about triple as shown here Still a good value
Be the first to ReplyNot the Tito's I remember
I lived in Culver City for 32 years and ate at Tito's weekly. Everything on the menu at that time was great and a good value. This last week I took my youngest son and his family to eat at Tito's while we were visiting LA. I had bragged about the tacos and burritos at Tito's and was I disappointed when we went there. The prices are too high, and the quality is poor. Truly a shame!
Be the first to Replyover priced
they even refuse at times to give an extra green salsa which is not that expensive compared to the food price we have to pay.
Be the first to ReplyWhat happened to Tito’s???
I used to eat there a lot … I loved those skinny taco’s. Something happened in 2015 or 2016 that turned Tito’s. The tacos now don’t taste the same … they don’t even taste good. You can tell the quality and flavor just isn’t there anymore. Why does it happen that the tried and true…. the food that made them who they are always ends up being changed for the worst! Why change the thing that made your tacos special! The last time I had them they were awful! Last time I was there I didn’t see the same lines as I did before. I’ve been going to Tito’s for years. NO MORE! We’re in California.. people here know what a good taco taste like. Instead of making more money off every taco why not sell more of them. When you have a good thing why change it!
Be the first to ReplyAnd again and again and again. Always the best.
Tito's has been around for at least 50 years and from the first time I had it as a kid to now as a grandmother it is the same, it is simply great. Parking is easy in their lot. You order at the counter, there are two big ones, one inside and one out and you wait a few minutes and your food is ready. Eating inside is always fun and we like that. When it is cool, outside is fun. Note--do not give money to people who asked, they are going to use it for meth. They have a nice menu and pretty much all you could want in the way of Mexican food they have. We love their tacos with loads of cheddar cheese on top. Their burritos are some of the best. I am a huge fan of their salsas, but beware, the green one is a tad hot. If you get it to go, they box it up so nicely, nothing moves on the drive home. If you are in town try it. You will love it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food
We love Tito's Tacos and go there about once a month. It is local to use right in Culver City and near freeways. It has been around forever it seems, I went there as a kid and it is the same. It is wonderful Mexican food at a decent price. It is not a fancy place, most people get their food to go, but now that Covid is over you can sit in their dinning area, first come first seated--in other words, grab a table on your own and have someone else get in line at the counter. There is a counter inside and a few outside. The lines are always long, but it moves fast. This is mid priced Mexican food and it is super tasty. They have great tacos and burritos and we love their always fresh, made there, chips and salsa. They have tasty rice and beans and you will find something there you want, although if you are a vegan go elsewhere. It is high calorie food and not a darn thing healthy about it, but it is so good. This is not old fashioned Spanish food, so if you want that go elsewhere. It is great fast food at a good price, Parking is free in their lot and there is also street parking. The service is friendly and fast, all employees speak English and Spanish. The place is kept clean and has clean bathrooms. It is sort of famous in this part of town, so if you are around go there. You will like it.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful 1950s greasy California-Mexican cuisine
I'm astonished to find people complaining that this is not "authentic Mexican cuisine". Of course it isn't! This is glorious 1950s style California Mexican food. The kind I grew up with, and the best of its type ever! Filled with lard and incredibly tasty. If you're a Vegan, don't get within a mile of the place. I've been eating there since the late 1970s. It's wonderful.
