One of the most beautiful restaurants! I went on a day where there was bad weather, so it wasn't as busy as I would expect on a Saturday. The food was really delicious. They have a great cocktail/wine menu as well. The service was also very good.

5. It was good, not great. We went for brunch on a Saturday around 11am. The place was mostly empty except for a few tables. The restaurant itself is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Tons of sunlight and tasteful decor. Food wise, could use work. We started with the lemon pound cake. Then i got the granola bowl and my husband got the skirt steak poutine. The lemon pound cake was not good. I was very disappointed, it was dry and tasted old. This was surprising considering it's supposed to have olive oil which typically makes it very moist. My granola bowl included coconut yogurt and fresh berries. It was sweet and a good portion. My husbands poutine was very salty, and the steak was a tiny piece. My drink (hibiscus lemonade) was 90% ice. Our server was friendly. Overall our experience was fine but the food is overpriced and nothing impressive.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful and airy space.
Perfect for brunch with friends. Classic cocktails. Food is so-so (do get the French toast or the carrot carpaccio tho!), service lacks - waiter hardly visited the table and when they did ignored empty glasses, had to flag down a couple times. Nice for the gram if in the area.
Be the first to ReplyPretty place.
Service very good. Food only mediocre and expensive. Friday night was busy. I think you go here for the space. Lots of windows looking out over downtown Avenue of the Americas. The food selection attempted to be creative but failed. I was with 3 other people. The only dish that won approval was the burger.

This restaurant is gorgeous, the service was incredible and the food was delicious. I got the burrata and the spicy penne vodka. Both amazing! I highly recommend this place for a nice date night!

Had food poisoning from this restaurant and almost missed my flight the next day because of it!. There were 4 of and we all got food poisoning. One of us threw up everything a few hours afterwards. We think it was the tuna tartare. BEWARE.

Came here for valentine dinner and was not disappointed! The ambience is dark and romantic with really great decor. The drinks were perfect, and the food was delicious. The tilefish was able to be salad tacos which were so yummy. The cookies were not it tho, hard and not that good.

Guys this is a big NO NO, we booked the table for 12 on Valentines day, nightmare started from the very beginning - we have ordered 2 round of drinks (we already saw that service was extremely slow) and almost all appetizers on the menu - it took them about 45 minutes to bring all drinks wrong - martini without olives, wrong cocktail instead of rose, margaritas almost no alcohol. After waiting for about an hour we asked to talk to the manager, who showed up and rudely told us that it was beyond his abilities to bring food sooner. When waited showed up another 20 minutes earlier we asked if he ordered second round of drinks - he honestly said no. And while taking empty glasses from the table he grabbed the full glass of wine and emptied it on two of the guests on our table, apologizing and disappearing immediately. We didn't even see a piece of bread and butter for 2 hours. Long story short, almost 2 hours later we ended up leaving hungry. Manager was rude, and obviously didn't do anything to mitigate the situation. Stay away, take your money somewhere else for good experience.

Be the first to ReplyFood is absolutely amazing, high quality for sure.
customers services was (Sarah), Sarah was great!! Friendly, attentive, best customer services I have received in a while the over all vibe is definitely nice, date night or girls night our recommended. All the staff are very attention to detail and attentive, I was looking around the room and waiters noticed me and came to me simple because I was looking around, checking out the room, but he noticed my eyes before I even needed to ask for anything!

This is definitely one of those spots you come to for the vibes / photos. The interior is beautiful and has tons of natural light. The food was ok - the price was on the higher side and was unfortunately a bit bland. For example, the Baked Eggs were $21 but I had to douse it in salt, pepper, and hot sauce to enjoy it. The breakfast sandwich was decent and we liked their fries, too. The kale salad was also good, but less filling than expected. The coffee wasn't the best either, so I'd recommend getting another drink at breakfast. Again, it's a beautiful spot but it's more the the vibes, and not the food itself.
Be the first to ReplyCool solarium space with a Sunday brunch vibe.
Food and service were on point. Definitely made an impression and we will be back.

Be the first to ReplyI was expecting this restaurant to be one of the many
I was expecting this restaurant to be one of the many pretty and trendy restaurants in the city that serve mediocre food. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The service was slow and could've been better but the food was surprisingly delicious! I didn't think they were "overpriced" for NYC standards (though some in the menu are)Highly recommend: 1. spinach dip with chips - The most interesting, memorable and definitely the best spinach dip I've ever had in my life! Both the dip and chips were outstanding! A little spicy which I like!2. beef bolognese - Delicious and also good portion The fries were nothing special though so feel free to skip those.

We had a chance to eat in one of their heated outdoor yurts! Beforehand we had a drink at the bar. The interior space is beautiful. Then we headed outside to our yurt. The hotel is full of beautiful artwork as well as Veranda so there was a KAWS sculpture right next to the yurts. They included heaters and blankets. Of course we had to get chocolate fondue. Also enjoyed the sourdough bread, spin dip, and pasta. Overall a very cute and romantic setting. Enjoy!

Came in for brunch, the past weekend spent about $35 a person for entree and a non alcoholic beverage each. Beautiful space as others have mentioned, but that was the highlight. Food was so so, two of us ordered a baked egg dish that we agreed from the description sounded like it would be in the vein of a shakshuka. what we got was an oven frittata that was "very dry" aka very overdone. My wife got a fine herb omelette which was also slightly over but worse only had a sprinkle of herbs on top rather than parsley, dill, chervil, etc mixed into the egg as one would expect. Service was subpar as well, which normally is just annoying but Veranda takes the liberty of adding 20% gratuity to the bill. Some of our favorite restaurants do this, but you do run the risk of annoying guests if it feels like servers are mailing it in, which was unfortunately the case here. To be clear there was nothing egregious, and if the food was great we would over look it but it took half our meal to receive a drip coffee and an oat milk cappuccino. Worse, no one checked in on us after the food landed - could have used some hot sauce for the dry eggs but was unable to flag someone down. The cherry on top for me was that they were not up front about being a gratuity included restaurant, and left a tip line on the final check the - a combination which feels like fishing for double tips imo. Might return for a drink since the bar is pretty and other reviews mention the drinks being good - but there are plenty of alternatives in the area so, maybe not.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced food, small portions and lack luster vibes.
They also charged 20% service fee without us knowing. Thought customers chose the tip %. Guess it doesn't work that way anymore lol
Be the first to ReplyGot there at 8PM.
Although the restaurant is beautiful and our waiter was terrific, we waited 1 1/2 hours for our entree! Hade the Duck rice, very good. The restaurant had cleared out by then. Two main courses we wanted were no longer available??I live in the neighborhood but if you walk by it's easy to miss. No street number or signage. Lively bar scene maybe go in for a drink.

Reserved the yurt for our anniversary, and had very high expectations after the endless IG stories, but unfortunately everything fell short, the yurts are cute, but the experience is not really fetched to be all that it can be, lacks ambiance.I so wish that the food had raised the bar, most of it was just okay, the rice was very flavorful, almost too flavorful, the chicken felt bland. The broccoli steak was meh. The pizza was pretty good though, that i can recommend.Overall not worth it, sorry.
Be the first to ReplyI absolutely loved this place.
Gorgeous interior with beautiful lighting, intimate atmosphere and great service. The food was fantastic. We ordered the homemade sourdough bread for starters. It came with butter, salt and olive oil and the bread tasted amazing with each of those. I especially loved it with the salt. Absolutely delicious. I also ordered the cauliflower steak topped with shiitake mushrooms. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. I only wish it had been served with something on the side or that I had ordered French fries (which came with my husband's ribs and were delicious). Overall, I had a great time at Veranda and would recommend it 100%. It's a perfect place for any celebration or a romantic dinner.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for a work dinner.
I give 4 stars because I think the service could have been better. We were a large group and we had to wait a while for tables to be set up and the set up was not exactly as promised. It was very hard to be able to speak to everyone as we had two separate tables. The restaurant is beautiful, has a fantastic cocktail list, and is located in soho. We started with a baby lettuce salad. I ordered the salmon, it was perfectly moist and really good. Not the best I have had, but I definitely enjoyed it. My coworker got chicken which came with fries. I tried the fries and they were fantastic. Mint chocolate chip cookies were served for dessert as were a delicious way to end the meal
Be the first to ReplyAtmosphere reminds me of many Los Angeles hotels.
Good brunch spot. Great lighting with glass windows. The food is good, nothing special. Service also good. I had the Greek salad, the rolled omelette, the cookies, and the croissant bread basket. It was all good but nothing special. However the cookies are amazing.
