Great place to seat and eat.
I was fortunate to come on a day where there were still clouds in the sky, otherwise it would've been a hot place eat. But the clouds definitely helped cool it down. The food here was absolutely tasty and the staff was very helpful helping my 95 year old grandma get to this area in her wheelchair. Food is served buffet style and staff would often deliver food to the table whenever it became available after running out. Afterwards you can catch their show that they have at certain times, but can also pass the time by paddling on their bamboo rafts. On the way out, you can catch the history museum. Also, the caribou cart they take you in and out with was a nice touch

Villa Escudero is one of those places where visiting again is not a bad idea. This place have an excellent group of staff that will make your experience here a memorable one. Love the plantation garden, building structures, waterfall dining areas, heated swimming pools, above & beyond customer service, flowers in the garden, gorgeous colorful butterflies surrounds the place, artifacts inside the museum, chapel visitation, canoeing, and the water buffalo ride. There are so much to do here. I wish I would taken more photos. I hope to visit again someday.

If you're with a big group, this place is huge and unable to finish all the activity in one day. Just keep in mind, the restaurant at the falls is first come first serve basis, regardless if you booked online or not. Always a must to visit especially for the kids to know more about the Philippine culture.

What a magical place to visit while in the Philippines! So much history here that I enjoyed hearing and learning about! The caribou driving our carts while we sat in the cart was a nice little touch. I visited the museum, and the docent was funny and said witty things. I saw a performance where there were dancers with awesome costumes, and it was very entertaining! I enjoyed my lunch by the waterfall and seeing the fish swim nearby my feet as my feet cooled off in the water. There are great photo ops by the water fall, so definitely bring your camera!

This place was a must while visiting the Philippines, such a neat experience with unique dining, under a waterfall! With the play, the sites and the amazing architecture of the private museum, this experience was unforgettable
Be the first to ReplyThis is a cultural treasure! Our family took the day tour.
We arrived near the opening time so I didn't notice any wait or lines. We started off at the big pink museum. The bottom floor had a lot of religious items but the best part is upstairs *** There's no elevator. My grandpa was disappointed to miss out. There are a ton of historical artifacts from war veterans, past presidents, etc. There's also 1-2 photographers ready to take your picture. These will printed as 8x10 and can be purchased for P200 each at the end of the day, as you exit. From there, we took the water buffalo ride with live acoustic music. No photographer here, so we quickly got our selfies in while we could. The waterfall buffet lunch was phenomenal. Everything it was hyped up to be. We claimed the table right at the front and scarfed down at least 2 plates each. Shout out to Noy for taking good care of us! If you're hard of hearing, however, I'd recommend sitting further back because it can get loud. We took some videos and were practically yelling at each other the whole time! Haha. Again, a photographer took our picture for purchase later. Thankfully, there was ramp access for my grandpa to climb back up.Then, we just took our time enjoying the scenery and bamboo rafts. Unfortunately, the experience show was not available that day. Also, the playground was cute but had way too many giant ants. We also didn't bring swim apparel and skipped the little water park. Still, we probably spent 6 hours there in total.

I had an wonderful time here with my family while visiting my grandmother in the Philippines. We took a day trip out to Villa Escudero from Cavite & it was well worth it! Clean grounds, friendly employees, well organized & good food selection. Loved the waterfall restaurant experience, the caribou rides & exploring the resort area. The downstairs part of the museum freaked me out a little - lots of taxidermy & life sized nativity statues. Upstairs is pretty cool with history of the estate's family & natives. All together it was well worthwhile checking it out!

Going here in December even if it was raining was not a disappointment for me. The people here were nice, food was good. Even though they couldn't serve it at the water fall because of the rain it was fine. The cultural presentation was phenomenal, making me proud of my heritage. My only issue was our driver, but that isn't there fault.

I have been wanting to check this place out and on my recent visit I decided this place would be perfect, especially since my agenda on this trip was just to be with my parents that recently retired in the PI. We booked tickets beforehand on their website and received an invoice via email shortly after. (P.S. If you're going to this place with senior citizens, the discount is only applicable to senior citizens with a valid Filipino senior card). We arrived here on a Monday morning. It was during off season, so it was pretty easy to get around the plantation.Upon parking, we were directed to the reception where we were given a welcome drink (gulaman). They gave us our tickets and provided a 101 on the plantation and we were off! We walked to the museum where you could see religious and traditional Filipino artifacts that the Escudero family collected through generations. Then we went off to the carabao ride. It was a nice 10-15 minute ride that took us to the resort from the museum. During this ride, we had a singer and guitarist join us to serenade us during our journey. This was such a nice touch. The carabao ride is supposed to resemble what it was like in the days when the Villa Escudero lot was simply a coconut plantation and the workers traveled and transported coconuts via carabao. The highlight of this place is the waterfall lunch. It's unlike anything you've ever seen before! It's such a great experience and the food is great as well. My parents had such a great time eating and enjoying the scenery. Come early to get a good seat in the shade! Tables fill up quickly! After this, we ventured back into the resort to go bamboo rafting. It was a little bit intimidating, especially since I'm not one to swim, but it was really relaxing and a great experience as well. They have a cultural show which we ended missing out on because their shows are only on weekends...still worth the visit though! Next time I'll be sure to spend the night here and stay at one of their over the water bungalows!

Definitely worth the 5-star review! We stopped here with a few family members who wanted to show us some history of the Philippines. After driving from Manila and getting lost on the way down we finally made it.ok, first thing first you pull up and park then get that ticket to enter. Once you do that they come and pick you up in a carriage being pulled by water buffalo. That's so cool to see them walk up and just slide under the harness ready to go. once they take you to the area where they have the lunch buffet and the waterfall dining area. Just so you know the water is cold but you since its hot and humid anyway it's a nice treat. After the lunch buffet and you get a few shots of the falls. Head back upstairs and enjoy the culture show. It takes you back in time showing dances and outfits from different eras. Most of the dancers are actually family members and workers from Villa Escudero. After you do all of that take some time out to enjoy the pools. This place is highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyThis was my second time coming here.
I went with my cousins, aunt, and nephew. We got the day tour package. When we first walked in we were welcomed with a drink called sago. After that we had a carabao ride that had a guitarist and singer in the back singing Filipino folk songs. They took us to an area where we had to walk down some steps to the waterfalls where they have a buffet from 11am to 2pm. We went to watch the cultural show and did a little bit of bamboo rafting. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
