The vibe is great here.
So beautiful and relaxing. The staff is so helpful, so dint be scared to ask if you have question...Sophia was an absolute doll!! I'll be coming here yearly for sure :)
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a magical desert oasis.
I really love this Spa and all that it has to offer. From nutritional and detox education classes to sound baths and breathing work to all the healing energy and benefits it has become my need to "go to the desert to detox and rejuvenate" Yearly! The grounds are so beautiful and the nature will calm you. The pool is calming and the staff are helpful and kind.
Be the first to ReplySuper unprofessional.
They aren't caring at all or helpful they just take your money and could care less about your time there. Really shows they don't even try to hide it! Not worth your money at all! This place is nothing like advertised. Massages are terrible, colonics are rushed, front desk gives bad energy and can the bothered. They charge 1,000 on average or more a night and not including spa treatments or colonics. It's beyond a rip off.. given there's no food. Won't return back here!

If you're up for a detox challenge, this spa will certainly put you to the challenge. I was invited by a dear friend to meet up weeks ahead of time and accepted, the booking process was fairly easy. You're looking at about $1000 per night at minimum for short weekend stays. This should include a few treatments but not enough to emphasize the "spa" feeling in the business name. There's more classes and colonics in that price than there is treatments, which was odd to me and not properly explained. I don't have another experience to compare this to but the drinks did the job and interestingly enough if you follow instructions you won't be hungry. Overall not a bad option to start your detox retreat if you need guidance, if you're leaning more towards the spa/spiritual area this isn't the main focus.

Best experience of my life! I feel so balanced in mind, body and spirit. I was terrified of not eating for 5 days; I even brought some snacks just in case. However, they have you drinking so many green wellness drinks, detox drinks, delicious teas, fresh spa waters and yummy soups that I was not hungry at all. They will also give you a salad if you want one. I had a Colony room which was the least expensive option. The bed was super comfortable and the room was nice enough. It had a private patio shaded by bougainvillea everywhere. The grounds are exquisite, lush and clean. There are bunnies and butterflies everywhere. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Susana, the founder, gave very informative easy to understand nutrition and cooking classes. Forrest and Brittany's yoga classes were great. Do not miss Forrest's breathing class - it was fantastic! The saunas and hot tubs were so soothing and relaxing. The pool area was serene and beautiful with spa music piped in and live music on Sundays. The very best part for me was the We Care Euphoria treatment with Patty. It was so relaxing and Patty's beautiful energy and soothing touch was sublime. I did the biofeedback with Mitzi which was very interesting and informative. Mitzi is so sweet too. I had very productive colonics thanks to Kortney and Elodia. Both girls were terrific and made me feel at ease during these not so fun but very beneficial treatments. I've been home a week and I feel great. I've implemented so many healthy habits I learned at We Care. I loved everything about this experience and have already booked my next stay in March.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful staff.
Grounds are beautiful. A desert oasis of goodness and health. Going back soon. Absolutely 5 stars. Come here, you might save your life.
Be the first to ReplyI have read the reviews and feel the need to explain We
I have read the reviews and feel the need to explain We Care Spa to those who don't know. I think you need to know what you are getting into if you come here since it's so unique. It's a fasting Spirtual retreat center. It is very expensive so if you don't have 3-8K to spend on a weekend or week just don't come here. So other reviewers complained of the price. But the prices are online so do some research first and know your budget for a trip. There is no food here, it's a fasting retreat. So you must know that first. The word Spa in the name is because they do offer spa services. They have had so many guests over the decades ask for so many services and classes, I'm sure they offer as much as they can. The day is filled will classes and lectures. I'm about to go into a sound bath session and last night we did some incredible breath work class. If you don't want to fast and de-stress and learn about health then find a different vacation. The reviews I read made me feel the need to write my own and explain what this place offers and what it doesn't. Yes it's exclusive and pricey. The staff here is far from obnoxious or rude. For example I pulled into check in at We Care in 115 degrees and there was a gentleman waiting to greet me and carry my bags. They women who do the colonics make the experience as pleasant as possible and are very friendly and informed. The staff go above and beyond. I've seen rude and obnoxious guests here before and perhaps you get what you put out...I've been a returning guest for 12 or more years and I recommend this retreat to everyone. It's all about health and detox. If that's not what you are looking for then do not come to this place or you will be disappointed, however if you want to lose weight, get healthy and bring home healthy habits for a life time, then come for a weekend and try out this place. It has changed my life in many healthy positive ways. On top of that, the grounds are spectacular and zen music plays throughout the resort. The lights at night are special and the floating beds, infrared sauna and workout room/steam room are all added amenities to help you detox the best you can.
Be the first to ReplyLove love love this place that Ive been going to since 2016.
. I learned to apply an alkaline diet and bought an alkaline water machine.. learned so much from them.. the owner Susan is amazing.. her staff, Lori Black.. love her... just amazing people
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a must do for everyone at least once.
Came with my wife on my birthday and fasted for five days. I lost 14 pounds and came home feeling like 1 million bucks. I'm looking forward to heading back again sometime soon.
Be the first to ReplyLove We Care Spa.
It's a magnificent place to recharge and cleanse. The spa treatments support the cleanse. I always leave there feeling great.

The most expensive defecation vacation I have ever experienced in my life. The only thing I learned at this place is that my spouse and I have different ideas about what constitutes a relaxing vacation.
Be the first to ReplyAlas, all good things must end.
And We Care Spa is no exception. I've been going to We Care since 2006. It was quirky and bohemian, with a great staff, and Susanna floating in and out to guide her guests. You felt like you were in someone's home--I think it was literally Susanna's home at one time. Now, it's a corporate machine. Love has left the building. In 2014, I went and had a Herxheimer reaction, resulting in extreme inflammation. Please note that there is not a doctor on staff at We Care. I was given bad advice at the Spa, and my doctor recommended I take 2 years off from fasting. This is important because in 2014, I gave a deposit for my next visit, but I needed to wait a few years before returning.I was told by We Care (and have it in writing) that the deposit doesn't have an end date and, if I couldn't come back, I could use that deposit for product.Starting in 2016, I tried making a reservation. I couldn't get in--for years. Staff said my deposit was good and made no mention of an end date. I would get calls for last-minute cancelations, but couldn't pull it off because I would have a day's notice.Fast forward to 2022. I got in! Yay! ... And it costs what? Off-season $4,500 in humble rooms.I know what you get at We Care and you're paying for a few colonics and some juice, tea, water, and 8oz of vegi soup per day. Classes are free, and the folks who run the classes don't get paid, but do get paid 1/2 their booked session rate -- We Care get's the other half -- another brilliant revenue stream. The profit margin on this is outstanding. I give them an atta girl for being so bold. I just can't see the cost-benefit for the guests.Since We Care is largely a la cart, add $1k more for services and extra colonics, and then a 20% tip on top of that. Add Travel costs--you're looking at a minimum of $6k for an off-season, entry-level room to starve and sit by a pool. "Come on People! Use some common sense!"So, I can't get my deposit back. No notice. No phone call to let me know my deposit is expiring. They stole money from me. There's no other way to put it. I have the terms in writing. And they're not honoring those terms. Most detox retreats don't focus on profits. It's a mission to heal the world one person at a time. We Care doesn't care about you--but they do care about their bottom line, and it shows.

Don't waste your time going. If I could give them zero stars I would. Don't know who's in charge of business here but this place has gone downhill. SAVE your money and go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyI just completed my second weekend stay at We Care.
Their program is truly inspiring and motivating. My second experience was even better than the first, probably because I knew what to expect and what to partake in while I was there that would give me the most benefit. The staff is truly lovely and supportive, they are all so down to earth and welcoming. I especially love the colonic therapists, they take what can be an awkward experience and make it informative with lots of humor along the way (thanks Jenny and Kortney!) The grounds are beautiful, so calm and relaxing. I love their spa services, yes the treatment rooms aren't luxury but I honestly don't care. The treatments are divine and the service providers are all wonderful. I love this place and am leaving energized, inspired and ready to incorporate more health into my life. Someday I'll be back for a longer stay. Thanks We Care!
Be the first to ReplyI have a few observations of my stay, as this is my third
I have a few observations of my stay, as this is my third time (the others were pre-expansion) and I will not be going back:Overall, things are chaotic and disorganized. I waited two days to get my safe opened, most treatments began late, classes were canceled with no notice, and things rescheduled on the fly. The staff is nice, but ill-informed and "not with the program." There are too many people around, and someone had various items stolen the day I came. The pool was too cold for swimming. One Sauna was off for days.Having yoga and other classes in the same room as the kitchen is unacceptable. Period. Either no access while classes are in session or find another place for the kitchen or classes - the disturbances ruin the experience. For a retreat founded on conservation and principles of honoring the earth, the expansion is a disaster:It takes 5 minutes to get hot water, even in the new treatment rooms. Why weren't circulating pumps put in during construction?Using disposable cups is ridiculous, and Covid is not an excuse - restaurants everywhere wash and reuse dishes. Let alone plastic shaker cups that can't be re-used when guests leave?Even if you have to temporarily use disposable cups, they should be biodegradable, readily available at Costco. Cups, tops of plastic, plastic containers are what is being used. The retreat isn't even recycling!!!!! The sharp turn away from the original concept to a huge, maze - like mess is too much for me.Gray water could be used from the treatment rooms to water the plants - again, during construction, this would not have been a difficult fix. What is with the Zoom classes??? Why be in a tent instead of in front of your guests? Unless you are personally afraid of Covid, but are unwilling to require your employees or guests to show negative tests or proof of vaccination? Overall, the Covid protocols are lax, at best. I'm disappointed and, frankly, disgusted. You have Susan Belan (the founder) hawking commercial goods in plastic containers on Zoom calls . . . when did sponsorships by certain brands become a thing? Let alone in plastic. . . . So much for concern about chemicals and Ph levels. Shame on the new owner for destroying her mothers legacy with greed and shortsightedness. This place used to be private, intimate, and very carefully environmental. It now feels like every other awful expansion (think Sonoma Mission Inn) gone wrong. With endless pails full of plastic-lined non-biodegradable cups, plastic lids, plastic containers. It's terribly sad.Elizabeth Knier Evans

I came a long way to look at the place and they were rude and would not let me have a look. It's too bad because it was someplace I wanted to stay but to make a potential guest feel so unwelcome was pretty unpleasant.

SMUG THIEVES! (actually stole my property, with proof, see attached).I regrettably went to We Care from 6/18 - 6/20. Some notes on my general impression of the place before i get into the theft...General impression: there are many ways they could invest in the property to make it more enjoyable and price appropriate - such as by serving the only daily meal (soup) in an actual bowl instead of a plastic water cup or by providing their $250 massages in rooms that don't remind you of a low-budget pediatrician's exam room - but they haven't, and they never will. They are the most smug people you will ever come across, i assure you. Just take your supplements and juices at home. Aside from the above, i'd like every past, current, and future stakeholder of this place to know that a We Care employee went into my parked Tesla vehicle and took my only charger to give to another guest. They did not have my permission and they didn't think to return it to me at check out. To make matters worse, they scoffed at me when I told them that I wanted a refund since the promise they made me - "to find peace and tranquility" - was completed unwound after i found out they had violated my personal space.I've filed in small claims against them, and will do my absolute best to deter any one in my network from going to We Care "Spa" (again, not really a spa). Absolute garbage management, staff, and offerings.

This spa is absolutely amazing! It is my second time here and once again they have blown me away. The property is so beautiful and the perfect place to relax and find peace. The program is so easy to follow and the staff here are amazing. The staff has gone above and beyond to make me extremely comfortable through their fast. The renovation on the property is stunning, from the pool, to the labrynth and the floating bed to so many amenities around the property to completely renew yourself in mind, body and soul.
