5/5- Rounding up for great serviceCame here for a treat-yo-self dinner with my friend on a Sunday night around 6:30pm. The place was pretty packed but we got a table right away. Service was super friendly and enthusiastic. Everything came out at a great pace and was beautifully presented. The price is a bit steep but worth it for the quality. Parking in the area wasn't too bad and we found street parking a block or so away. For our meal my friend and I go the following:1) Chicken Liver Mousse Toast w/ Balsamic Shallot Jam: Our started and my absolute favorite item of the night. The liver wasn't gritty but still had such a rich flavor. The ratio of the liver to the thick crusty grilled bread was perfect. The balsamic shallot jam masked any livery stench and filled my nostrils with a rich deep sweetness. I'm drooling just thinking about it (5/5)2) Veal Tongue, West Indian Gherkin, Steelhead Roe, Black Mustard, Horseradish Cream: The plate was an artistic masterpiece. It's just so mesmerizing to look at I felt bad eating it. The taste was a bit all over the place since the mustard, gherkin, and horseradish all have their own unique tastes that do pair well with beef but clash a little with one another. Especially the gherkin which I found a bit too sweet. However I loved the ikura which had almost a smokey flavor to it. It almost tasted like there was bacon with the veal tongue (3.75/5)3) Hamachi Tostada: Friend's dish. I didn't try it but she enjoyed it though it was a bit pricey for the portion4) Rabbit Larb w/ New Zealand Spinach and Crispy Shallots: This was a fantastic take on larb! I've never had new zealand spinach but there's an addictive texture and strong flavor that makes it the perfect base for this dish. The rabbit meat is always a great substitute for chicken. It has a stronger flavor while maintaining a pretty similar texture. The dish was packed with spicy and tangy flavors. I loved it (4.5/5)Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. There were so many things to choose from I had a hard time deciding. I will definitely have to make another trip here for another round of mousse toast and to try some of their other offerings!---The Re-Return: Chicken Liver Mousse Toast (& maybe some rabbit larb)---
