😒 3/5 - For a Michelin star restaurant, this was a bit

For a Michelin star restaurant, this was a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong, staff was extremely friendly and courteous but the food was shockingly mediocre. Madam Sung's Fish Soup (3/5) - I don't think there was much fish in this soup (haha). It was a strange mix of different meats (I think there was ham!). Flavor-wise it was okay but I was hoping for something with thicker consistency like a fish maw soup.Shanghai Style Rice Cake (2/5) - Man oh man, this dish was SALTY! I couldn't take more than two bites before grabbing a sip of my tea. The rice cakes were overcooked, so it was a weird consistency (overly soft rather than a subtle al dente). Also, the rice cake to vegetable/meat ratio favored more rice cakes which left a lot for the heart to desire.Seaweed Flavored Fried Fish (3.5/5) - I've had this many times at other restaurants and this was definitely average at best. The batter felt more like a fish and chips batter (you could barely see or taste any seaweed). The fish was cooked perfectly fine and you get pretty nice chunks of fish, but I just wasn't wowed. Other dishes definitely execute this dish WAY better.Spicy Boiled Intestine (3.5/5) - Probably the best dish flavor-wise (and not overly salty) but the portion was TINY! Yes, I understand this restaurant is on the more fancy size, but for $19.95, I would expect something larger than an individual soup bowl. The pork blood and intestines were nothing remarkable.
