Rudly turned away at the door! Crossed the border into Canada on a Thursday to check this place out for Dim Sum. We were rudely informed that they we needed a reservation and they could not fit us in. Really, for a part of 2? Maybe you're awesom
Had my birthday banquet here last night.
The food was exceptionally good, the seating was comfortable and the serving staffs were excellent and were highly hospitable. Pricing was reasonable and of high value. I will not hesitate to come back for my next celebration here. Good job.

3.5 stars. Props for creativity but missed the mark. We got her 15 minutes before they open without a reservation. After checking to see if our whole party was here they said they can seat us but we need to leave in one hour because they have the tab

I drove up to Richmond from Seattle just to try this place, and I'm so glad I did! I'm not a dim sum expert, but there were so many little things that I found better at Kirin than at the dim sum restaurants back home. In the sticky rice, yo

Food is excellent even though it is more expensive than Los Angeles (doubled price) , but the service is good.

Terrible -- the hours are not correct and we wasted time coming here on a Saturday night.
Disappointed
There were 7 adults for dinner. We ordered 7 various dishes to share. Of the 7 dishes, 2 were absolutely tasteless. They were the Prawn Fried Rice and the Singapore Vermicelli noodles. We asked for spicy and were very disappointed. Especially when t

I can say without exaggeration that this was the best dim sum I've ever had. My only regret was that I didn't have the stomach capacity to eat more. It's always busy. If you're looking to eat here, make a res or come before open
Food is great as always.
Love Dimsum at Kirin. Been to all 3 locations in Vancouver. One star less because the service at this location is not as good as the services provided at Starlight.
Worth Repeating With More Friends
Usually a party of at least four is needed for a Chinese meal. Based on two dishes, it was an exceptional dinner. Never had Pan Fried Black Cod, usually steamed or baked. The beef with Gai-LAN is worth mentioning. Both were recommended by our wai
Battle Crowds to Get Into This Popular Local Cantonese Restaurant
My wife and I have been here many times (my sister in-law lives around the corner from the place) , including one time for an anniversary dinner, and I would say it is in the upper third of Cantonese/Hong Kong restaurants in the Richmond area. This
Amazing Service
Very impressed with their professional service! Attentive in refilling tea and taking away empty/dirty plates with new one. Cozy environment and spacious, suitable for family or large group. Food can be pricey, considering the size of the dish, but
Exceeded our expectations
The restaurant is recommended by a picky friend of mine. We were a group of 4 and had sinner there. The food and service both exceeded our expectations. We have never experienced something like this in Toronto. I would for sure go back whenever
Mediocre food, go elsewhere if you want service
This review is more about the service than the food. The last time we visited Kirin in Richmond BC for dim-sum was Sept 2015, and even back then we felt the food quality and service was poor. Back then pre-covid the dim sum was nothing to rave about
Not your standard dim sum
Had dim sum lunch here on Saturday. The dim sum offerings are more upscale and different than the usual dim sum restaurants. Food and service were excellent. Reservations required and only allows 90 min to eat, regardless of your group size. Food ca

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Kirin Seafood Restaurant (Richmond) at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Kirin Seafood Restaurant (Richmond) page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Kirin Seafood Restaurant (Richmond) to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Kirin Seafood Restaurant (Richmond)!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
