Promenade Brewers Fayre Margate Reviews from The Last Year
Depressing and disgusting.
We visited Brewers fayre Margate promenade at 20:00 on 20/05/24. Ordered dinks and were told to sit in a dimly lit area at the back of the pub. Because we weren't eating. Dirty pots were on every dirty table. Two, very drunk, desperate people were sat close by. As it was a small area. Pouring their own drinks from litre bottles of vodka and coke out of a carrier they had brought. Four staff were on, chatting at the bar. Oblivious to the social and environmental decay around them. I was disgusted by everything. Will never set foot in a brewers fayre again. I told a member of staff about my observations on my way out. The place was a total mess.
Fantastic Service
Stayed at the Premier Inn for work with 3 colleagues so we had breakfast here for 2 days. Breakfast was fine, decent choices but service was fantastic. Lisa was on both days and made everyone so welcome. She was friendly, chatty and service was faultless.
Carvery Delights
Great service and the Sunday carvery was excellent. Friendly staff and all round very good value for money. Will definitely be back.
that was a truly good afternoon, thanks to Jack and his smile and friendly attituded..
Friday afternoon at the Brewers Fayre Margate, we was welcomed by Jack with a really friendly smile,, Welcome he said, we was shown to our table. and later Jack took the order, the wine and the meal was fantastic as usual,. half way through our meal Jack said is all ok, no problem my friend, we paid jack at the bar and booked a table for the following week,, thanks to Jack and the Brewers Fayre,
Breakfast at the promenade
This review is mainly aimed at the staff at the brewers fayre (Lisa and rose) it was exceptionally busy at breakfast time but they friendly and courteous throughout and made me feel welcome plus the sausages are to die for!! Well done to all involved
Not an all you can eat buffet anymore, disappointing experience
Came here for the all you can eat breakfast just to find an over worked member of staff taking peoples orders, which stops you from helping yourself in a buffet style! After being sat for 25 minutes we were finally asked for our order, only to be told that half of the items we wanted were not available - arrived at 8:45 so it was not near the end of the service! After the long wait we decided not to order a second plate which is probably the idea with the new ordering system! Used to love going here but will not be returning unless it changes back.
Confused!
I came with my aunt and 1 YO daughter for mothers day, we had the carvery and my daughter had a kids meal, the food was okay, what you'd expect for the price, cheap and cheerful, exactly what I wanted for an easy laid back mothers day. Our table was booked for 12:30, I was second to arrive and FOH couldn't direct me to the table as they couldn't see the booking, luckily my aunt had text me the table number so I directed myself. When I went up for my carvery there was nobody there so I waited a short while, the cook dropped the tongs then I can only presume rinsed them or pretended to because he went in the 'in' door (after another cook ignored his request to swap them for him) was gone for about 20 seconds and came out with tongs that still had food on so either same tongs or (benefit of the doubt) just different tongs already in use elsewhere... After our mains we asked for my daughters ice cream twice as it hadn't showed, just as she had a spoonful a lady in striped jumper approached up and asked if we would be able to make the table available soon, I apologised and explained that my daughter had only just got her ice cream, she asked if they could have the table in 10 minutes, no other tables in our section of the same size were asked similar, the other tables of the same size were either clean and empty or had groups that had been there longer than us... I was extremely confused but of course understand demand, especially on mothers day, just didn't understand why the table with a toddler eating their pudding was asked to move on but a same size party of only adults finishing their drinks were not asked the same? Also just after the lady left a group was seated in our section and given a choice of tables so obviously reservations aren't designated to certain tables? As soon as it had been 10 minutes I took the wafer offy toddler and told her all done and left the table. Took toddler into play area for 20 minutes to burn off steam, came out and the table was still empty so unsure why I felt so rushed for my toddler to finish her well deserved pudding. I felt pushed out.
Brilliant!!
Brilliant service, nice food jack on the carvery was outstanding his smile and general chat was brilliant we will definitely be coming back.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience from start to finish, waited over an hour for the food, dirty toliets, the staff was extremely rude.
Great service, great atmosphere
I love this restaurant, it’s my favourite place to be, I visit regularly and love to spend time alone or with family and friend’s here, the team are super friendly and welcoming. The food is great, good value, I like the loyalty club and they have a Gluten free menu, the team are very well educated about gluten and other allergies. Olivia and Jack were so helpful and patient when talking my order. Excellent customer service, great atmosphere and great food.
