The Langham, Chicago Reviews from The Last Year
Fantastic 5 stars!
We stayed for our anniversary. Everything was excellent from the food to the service to the amenities. Wonderful experience!
Consistently My Favorite Chicago Hotel
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and it is consistently my favorite hotel in all of Chicago. Not only are the rooms fantastic (love the one bedroom corner rooms the most), the staff is amazing and the club floor is a MUST (you basically get an upscale lounge that includes breakfast, all day snacks, evening drinks and hot and cold apps). ! I highly recommend it.
Excellent hotel - don't stay anywhere else in Chicago
Excellent hotel - don't stay anywhere else in Chicago. We cannot praise the hotel high enough, incredible service and staff team
This place is fabulous from start to finish!
This is by far the best customer experience that we have ever enjoyed as seasoned travellers of luxury hotels. From the moment we arrived we were provided with the most amazing attention. Nothing was too much trouble and our needs were anticipated before we could even ask! Our club suite was luxurious and stylish and it provided everything that one would need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The Chuan Spa provided a haven of luxury and tranquility and we delighted in our massage and facial treatments. If you are planning to stay in Chicago - STAY HERE!
My dream wedding come true
My husband and I just had our wedding at the Langham Chicago on April 6th. It is a total understatement to say that the Langham did their job. Their hospitality is unmatched. Everything about the Langham is efficient, convenient, but also so elegant. Meeting Shaun and working with Shaun was literally like hitting the biggest jackpot/lottery of a lifetime. I met Shaun when my now husband and I went to go tour the Langham hotel as a potential venue. We knew we had to book the Langham not only because it was a beautiful venue but because we know a valuable person when we see one, and that valuable person was Shaun Rajah. The other staff members we got to work with at the Langham were Jordan Silverman and Sonam Khatau. They were the best team any bride to be could've asked for. For the amount you invest into the Langham you come out with so much more: gifts, hospitality, a perfect and smooth wedding/event, a nice bridal suite, and so much more. The Langham has an exclusive relationship with many vendors and they know what they're doing, which put my anxieties to rest. And I cannot skip out on the food. The food and dinner that was served during our wedding was hands down the best. That is because the food was made from the restaurant in the Langham. I can confidently say that my statement isn't just a biased opinion but all our guests had to agree that they've never experienced better wedding food than the food they had at the Langham. I wanted to also go back to talking about a huge contributing factor as to why my wedding at the Langham was perfect. That big factor is Shaun, the event coordinator and event manager at the Langham. It was Shaun who helped me make a lot of wedding decisions, and Shaun was the very reason why my wedding went smoothly and flawlessly as it did. He is detailed oriented, well experienced, and his hospitality is unmatched. With his long long years of experience in the wedding planning industry, he has unlimited resources to almost every vendor in Chicago. Shaun is the Langham's most valuable asset. He held my hand through this crazy wedding planning process. He watched me and comforted me even when I was emotionally in shambles and went all bridezilla. In order for me to fully describe my appreciation and respect for Shaun will require me to write out a novel. But I will make sure I conclude with this simple note. Shaun is perfect, and if anyone wants their wedding to be flawless and perfect and stress-free, Shaun is your guy. He will never ever disappoint you.
Top Hotel in Chicago
The Langham is one of the best hotels in Chicago! Great rooms and amenities. The rooms are large and nicely appointed. The fitness center was great and the spa looks very nice. Conveniently located to great shopping and parks. Staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommend for business or leisure travel.
THE Place to stay
I scoured the internet in search of a great 5 star hotel in Chicago, The Langham seemed to be a consensus, and now I can add my voice to it. The staff is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and the food and cocktails exceeded my expectations. I'm staying there again on my next trip.
Beautiful city centre hotel
Beautiful large room (1 Bed suite, which was $150 a night to upgrade to) with incredibly comfy bed and giant bathroom. Well designed and thoughtfully laid out. Appreciated the Nespresso machine! Great location (walkable to Art Institute, for example) and our room had a beautiful river view. I enjoyed the large well-equipped gym and the swimming pool. Breakfast was pricy for what it was, but free coffee available until 11am was appreciated. Dunkin’ Donuts next door was great for bagels! :)
Stayed here for a weekend.
Decor is contemporary with a hint of cozy. Amenities are awesome, the pool is of a decent size, gym is more than adequate and clean, locker rooms includes 3 types of sauna and steam rooms combined with a spa on premises. Service was excellent and there isn't much to add outside of that comment. Certainly a wonderful place to stay if you have a young family as I do.
Best night ever
My wife and I stayed the night. We were in town for a concert and let me tell you. I was so happy I chose this hotel. From the check in to the check out outstanding. It makes it very hard to stay anywhere else in Chicago
Best hotel experience
First visit to Chicago. I will be coming back frequently to visit my son. Started scouting out places with the Langham. I will not need to look further. It’s perfect. It’s a beautiful mid century modern building. The views are over the top spectacular. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bed was heaven. Highly recommend upgrading or purchasing access to the Club Room for delicious food throughout the day. The location cannot be beat. Best of all is the staff. Every single one was delightful. A special thank you to Hannah in Guest Services. So helpful. So kind. Another thank you to Trinity for some tech help. And one more to Claire in Engineering. Looking forward to more time at my new home away from home.
The Langham is one of my favorite hotels in the city.
I was able to spend my birthday week here and upon check-in, we were upgraded to one of the suites. I highly recommend the club access when staying at the Langham. They have a variety of refreshments, snacks and candy to make sure you're satiated all day. Also, the views from the club lounge is absolutely gorgeous. There's a little desk where you can even get some work done while admiring the views. The suite was beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Diptique amenities. I was even more surprised when the suite had the same views as the club lounge. It made my birthday so much more memorable and the staff was completely amazing! Winnie and Indra were very helpful as well as the entire staff. Absolutely amazing and everyone needs to experience the Langham at least once!
After having lost my mom this past year to cancer and
After having lost my mom this past year to cancer and having to put up a battle with cancer myself, my husband wanted to do something really special for my 50th. We chose to book The Langham because we always book at the Four Seasons and wanted to try something new. I had told my husband that if we went away, I wanted to take our little dog with. I knew this birthday was going to be a hard one because it was going to be the first birthday without my mom and Vinny, our dog, has always been a comfort to me. He is not an "emotional support dog" or a service dog by any means. The hotel knew we were going to bring him with, told us about the $150 fee for the stay. We had no problem with that. The day came and we checked in, paid the fee and signed a paper that the front desk clerk told us that it was just about the pet cleaning fee. We didn't read the paper, just signed it, we didn't receive a copy of the paper as well. Just thought it was what the clerk told us. We checked in and started to go along with our day. When we would get closer to dinner time, we would give our dog a sedative to calm him down, being that he was in a new place and we didn't want to disturb our neighboring guests. The next morning we went to the club lounge and had breakfast, we got back and saw we had a message to call the front desk. My husband called and was told that a guest complained about the dog barking and that was the extent of it. Never told us what the possible repercussions could be. On the 29th we were gifted tickets to go see the Blackhawks, we gave our little dog his sedative and even called the vet to see if we can double up on the dose, in which they said that it would be fine. The problem was that we gave the second dose a little too late. Within the hour a front desk employee, Eloy, called our phone and was telling us that a couple of guests were complaining that the dog was barking. We told him about giving the meds to the dog and they should be working soon. He told us that he will relate it to the guests. He called awhile later again and stated that he was still getting calls from the same guests and that we needed to do something about it or we were going to be responsible for the compensation that the guests were pursuing. He continued to repeat the same thing, as to what we were going to do about the situation. What were we supposed to do? Our personal car was parked where there were multiple cars parked ahead of us and were not able to get out till the game was over. I went as far as to tell my husband that I would uber to the hotel get the dog, he stated that was not an option. We had told Eloy that we would be there as soon as the game was over. The next day, we got a call from the Front Desk Manager Philipe. He told us that he was calling about the incident from the night before and that there was going to be a charge for $400 to us to compensate the complaining guests. We told him that we were not told about this being a possibility and why was this not told to us since the day the dog was barking while we were in breakfast our second day. I told him that I had told Eloy if he had gone to check on his own, as I had told him that people will do anything to get a compensation, for all we know people could be knocking on the walls/doors antagonizing the dog. Also, there was no way the dog could be awake at the time with the double dosing of the sedative. I did mention to Phillipe if were going to compensate us for the fact that their mattresses were bad, they have flat pillows, and our floor and front atrium always smells like Snoop Dog was in the building. We know marijuana is legal but there are restaurants out there that will not permit people to enter that smell like it, why should this be any different. I continued to say that we had reservations to Pequod's and ended up canceling them because we didn't want to subject our dog to any more sedatives. Instead we did carry out with them. We had wanted to try Travelle and was not able to because of the little guy. We had Club Lounge Access and my husband and I would go in at separate times. We did what we needed to do in order to not have the guests keep complaining. Philipe heard us out and waived the fee in the end. What was pretty funny is that you have kids in the Club Lounge running around, the parents having their cocktails and yet no one bats an eye. Although my dog is not a service dog, he is way better behaved than these kids. Although the call from Eloy ruined our game experience and part of the stay, I have to say the people that made our stay 4 stars were Jeremy and Fidel who greeted us as we got out our car or walked in and out of the building. David in the Club Lounge was always so very kind. Julian the bartender in the lobby bar was very nice. Brandon, the security officer who always had a smile on his face. Henna, guest relations manager who always was very kind to us and has a genuine soul.
I've stayed at The Langham Hotel in London's West End
I've stayed at The Langham Hotel in London's West End several times and always loved it. While walking home yesterday after seeing a ballet on Whacker St., my wife and I strolled by Chicago's Langham Hotel; I didn't know we had this hotel here and I guess you could call this an "I gotta know" moment. So, of course, we walked in and I immediately started comparing these two lovely hotels (London vs. Chicago). There are some stark differences between these two lovely hotels but both were really beautiful. London's has this old established Five Star hotel (circa 1865) vibe to it with more history and legends than an encyclopedia. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle set the Sherlock Holmes stories A Scandal in Bohemia and The Sign of Four partly at the London Langham. Chicago's version of the wonderful brand is this chic, modern, swanky building with all of the drippings of any upscale hotel. Both places are a study in 'How To Do Things Right". After entering the revolving door here in Chicago we were greeted by a concierge who led us to the second floor bar overlooking the Chicago River. Our table had this magnificent view of Chicago's famous architecture and the beautiful bridges this River is known for. Everyone worker here are trained (Langham Style) on how to treat there guests. We both ordered a drink and some bar food which was (of course) really good. The quietness of this place was relaxing as much as it was serene and cozy. We only live a few blocks away and I'm sure we will make this location our "Go-To" bar for guests coming to town or just a nice place for us to enjoy.
Absolutely Gorgeous.
My first time visiting Chicago and in my eyes The Langham's Luxury Flagship location. I've been to The Langham locations in both New York and Pasadena and in my eyes from the decor to the ambiance to the service from both the front office and club lounge staff were fantastic and the absolute cherry on top Mr. Anthony Zamora. Loved the conversations loved the personal meet and greet the room was spectacular. I truly enjoyed every minute of my stay and if there's one other thing I will say, as tourists we tried the popular restaurants in both RPM Italian to the delicious burgers at Cheval. Neither came close to how delicious the New York Steak and sides we had at dinner in the restaurant(I wish I could remember the name!) located inside The Langham Chicago! Will absolutely be coming back when we visit Chicago again!!! Thank you!!
Exceptional atmosphere, food, and service.
Will be back the next time I'm in Chicago. We had brunch but the high tea looked fabulous too.
Did the bar.
Higher prices. View ok. Not many seats w views. Dress is not casual.
5 stars! The most beautiful property.
Amazing lobby, beautiful artwork. Great Management. Anthony Zaroma is truly taking this Langham to great efforts. The place is ran so well. Beautiful rooms. We are in a one bedroom suite. Even has a Christmas tree in it for the holidays. A full tree. The club Lounge is beautiful, the front entrance is calm and feels like you're walking into serenity. Rooms service is great. The best part is the indoor pool and hot tub for cold weather likes tthis. Also the travele restaurant is delicious. Highly recommend.
The Langham is top notch.
Make you feel you are taken care of. You pay for what you get.
Visited this place for the first time.
We went to their bar on the 2nd floor. It did not disappoint. We just had a couple round of drinks and they were all delicious. We're huge cocktail drinkers in our group and we would definitely come back. Service was great and the view of our beautiful city of Chicago was the cherry on top. It was a dark and intimate vibe and they had a DJ playing. A lot of seating for bigger groups. Will definitely come back.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
