Fabulous food
Second visit here, as visited this time last year. Food Stu pill as good as ever. Steak was beautiful. Sea bass also lovely white and fresh. Desserts also good. Service as quick as we needed, but only because we needed it to be.
Fabulous place to go for tea (evening meal) in Ilfracombe
Staying locally, we were advised to book ahead..no need! Walk ins welcome. Beautiful decoration, friendly pleasant staff, and the food was superb! Really enjoyed our meal and will visit again when we (hopefully) return to lovely Ilfracombe.
Half price or nothing

Never got in Went in were told come back later went back later told shut kitchen in a minute I’m on holiday do you want. My money or not Staff pretty abrupt and to the point but not their fault only following orders 🤷🏻
Excellent first visit
Very unique decor and old school vibes. Staff very accommodating and polite. I had the battered Plaice and the better half had the Gammon . Both meals were excellent and good portion size well cooked and very enjoyable. We will be back!!
Fantastic service and amazing food!
Second time visiting this amazing seafood restaurant and second great experience! Delicious fish pie washed down with a lovely chilled wine, all topped off with brilliant service. Well done!
Poor food!
We ordered two Sunday lunches and the quality of food was really poor. The beef tasted like it was microwaved the roast potatoes were fried. The fresh veg were carrots the peas and spring beans were cooked from frozen and tasteless. There was hardly

* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* GallantAnswer60, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* GallantAnswer60 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to GallantAnswer60 for any questions Peter may have as GallantAnswer60 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* GallantAnswer60 now uses their connections at The Smugglers Restaurant Ilfracombe to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If GallantAnswer60 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, GallantAnswer60 receives the $200 reward which is credited to GallantAnswer60's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Smugglers Restaurant Ilfracombe!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
